Even if I didn't grow, I'd still listen to you guys. The show has such a friendly vibe, and the knowledge that is shared here really makes sense and helps us growers.
I do it the last few weeks of flower to bring the terps out I also add a half hour sunrise/ sunset on my controller. Started doing it years ago to save money, but then noticed the benefits! Sativa plants it’s really noticeable. Happy growing Tom!
I like to hang my veg lights low and dimed but my Spider Famer G1000 is kept maxed and about 6 ft from ground in a 4x4. I keep my SE5000 in 4x4 it is 10 inches above plants and are dimed.
Last batch of seeds grown/sprouted I hung 180watt LED box (1000w equivalent) light at 14" above lip of solo cups and after two weeks I moved the light up to 18" above plant tops. Internodal spacing was super tight and plants were ready to move outdoors only 1 month after germination... My personal experience.
I like that you share different opinions of your followers, thank you IM using a sf1000 to push a 4x4 until I can do better, seedlings and 6 weeks of veg in the same tent. Seedlings are toughing it out they are some little badasses.
I'm a budtender in Canada's smallest province, Prince Edward Island. Love the show. I'd be happy to volunteer... just a little tough to cover flight and accommodation (I'm a budtender). Throw it out to DGC; if someone has air miles to spare, if someone can accommodate an Islander... I'm in.
I will add photone on my pixel 6a was accurate. When using the camera sensor(not ALS) with a little inch by inch white printing paper diffuser, the app was within 10 ppfd of what my light's manual said it should be. 648-657 for my 100watt LED at 18" away. Which the chart for PAR/PPFD that came with the light said it should be 657. Thats pretty damn good for a free app!
So I have been trying this out just to try to. Reduse energy use and it's keeping them alive, gonna try to see how close I can keep the light looking for the best beg growth, with the least amount t of energy possible.
Yo DGC I got the Extdedo Veg Nutes I can’t wait to try them this summer I have a 100 gallon grassroots living soil pot that I used in the winter can I’m gonna turbo my grow with them Dotz!!!
Depends on how big an area and how big the plants are etc etc IMO. Wide area with bigger plants, your going to want the light higher up but on a higher setting to try and make up for this. However if its smaller plants under a smaller area, then you can easily get away with running the lights right above the plants but dimmed. Really tho with how little "side light" the LEDS give ya most plants are going to be right under the light, I would only go to the full setting higher away if the plant is tall and has buds way down quite far from the light that you didnt trim, as with LED's unlike hps, the setting its on dosnt cause that much of a heat difference, its more just a case of increaseing light intensity. Long story short, the height of the plant/canopy/how much you trim will tell ya how powerful you need to run the lights. If its smallish 2 ft plants with all the under growth trimmed off etc, you can prob run the light right above them at 50/75%. If its some 3/4 foot+ monster with lots of under growth etc , you are prob going to want to put the light on full but keep the light a bit further back.
I've been trying to workout why my Dos si dos was getting stressed from my FCE-3000 LED's, at 70% and 18 inches. Then remembered reading, increased Co2 requires higher light or lower temp. The source of the extra Co2?.......my dog using the tent as a den. Took me two weeks to figure it out.
Scottie: "you ever take a leak outside and look around and lock eyes with a neighbor? YEAAH its a little awkward" 😂 Anyone remember girls gone wild? I absolutely do. Was a big thing before internet lol
Hey Dude. I have a Transition TranAm. They are out of the Pacific Northwest, they have lifetime warranties on their frames. Atleast their Stainless steel frames do.
Dude, Scotty, Grambo - Mahalo always from NYC for the education and fun 🤜🏽🤛🏽! I don’t know if you wanted more info about peeing on plants, but urine luck! Big urine & Univ. of FL Environmental Engineering/Ag research note: In 2015-2016, under the guidance of University of Florida’s Environmental Engineering Professor, Treavor Boyer, student, Bryce Zinkgraf, developed his thesis that theorized an experiment that would engineer the stadium’s plumbing and bathrooms to recycle the urine from the 90,000 visiting fans during football games, and tank storing the urine long enough to convert from urea to ammonia (and possibly collect P, K, and other micro and secondary nutrients from the urine) to be fertigated on to the football fields. “What you’ll see is that you can collect enough nitrogen over those seven home football games to meet the nutrient requirements for that field for the growing season,” said Boyer.” I assume then, it may be better to store one’s urine in tanks and then fertigating after it’s been converted into ammonia…not my cup of pee when it comes to cultivating and fertilizing, but to each their own ✌🏽
I dumped a gallon of old human pee in line on my yard as an experiment. In 2 weeks, it was x3 as green as the un peed on area. It didn't burn the yard. Later that year, i saved pee again and spelled my name. The end result of my experiment was that it takes too long to acquire large amounts and smells too bad to use all over, especially indoors.
Piss around your plant in the woods does help keep deer away. Those love that stinky weed smell. Had 1 deer eat all but 1 leaf. The plant grew back n still offered about an ounce. 😁🤷
Cheap mountain bikes don't fall apart in Australia, because these bike manufacturers know where crazy down under, and if they sold shit bikes, they'd go out of business pretty quickly, it's funny because the high end bike break quicker because there all light weight this and that, my cheapo bike used to go over Jumps all day long for 8 years or something, break nothing but heavy duty steel rims 🤣🤣🇦🇺👍 12ft jumps and stuff, alloy rims never last and I reckon carbon Fibre would shit itself pretty quickly too on the big jumps.. Ahh the good old days ☮️
Holy shit this episode was terrible 36:37 and I can not take Scotty interrupting dude one more time. I can literally see dude getting pissed off. And not to mention grambo keeps chiming in his reactions….stroking his chin.. Come on guys
spring garden preparation.indoor outdoor ...pull the boys ..greenhouse or exposed.. old shcool or nu nu ..what soil hydro or organic ..?admendments nutrients..n.p.k. ?meat and patatoes. lollipoppin scrog ect ect cherrs dgc
Some plants slow down and dont get as big or produce as much. some plants show signs but aren't affected at all and others dont show any signs and still might have it. If you have weird sharp curves in a tip of a leaf and an odd light green mosaic pattern on the same leaf chances are you have it.
Even if I didn't grow, I'd still listen to you guys. The show has such a friendly vibe, and the knowledge that is shared here really makes sense and helps us growers.
Thanks CC!! 🙌
Happy aloha Thursday to everyone from Hawaii

Showing up for the DGC not once but twice while on vacation. Thanks for the commitment Scotty!
I run my lights 11/13 during flower. Seems to be a nice difference than standard 12/12

I have heard that, dandelions are also a sign of overly compact soil. They will move in because the roots are able to push through the hard pan.
Interesting 🤔🙌
Nature is pretty amazing! I should also add the caveat that a few plants did not denote a hard pan but rather when you are seeing dense populations.
@Tim Page thank you that is a good point..
yes that cloning is coming up for me too. i've done basil but thats it
Great show, enjoyed it.
Thanks DGC!
Love the show awesome as always DGC
I just got the a new ac infinity s33 3x3 for my 2x3 tent so this is a perfect timing

What does the viroid do? You said it was asymptomatic so even though it’s a virus what problems does it cause?
