This one sounds kinda like generations's classic. A good example would be generations's classic city escape. Modern music goes for more rock-style instead of techno-funk.

Knuckles being closer to the volume of the instrumentals complements BF's parts real well on that part, at least from what I hear

Why did you remove the Green Hills opening at the start? It feels wrong without it. Although, I absolutely LOVE how each character's part has a different emotion and vibe.
