I was looking for a “DJ Premier” type sampling solution. This might just be what I’ve been looking for, that other producers couldn’t make easy!!!! Thank you so much!!! Will try this now!

When I was younger, I had someone show me this and I made few tracks on an MPC 3000 with this technique, but now (25 years later), I was struggling to remember what to do and how the sample should be captured in the first place. THANK YOU SO MUCH BRUH. You saved me so many hours of frustration.
i was the same way. it takes a fews days of watching videos to get a hang of it but once you do you start noticing yourself getting faster and faster. I personally use my MPC as a midi instrument in Logic pro. I cant stand the MPC software but the hardware is amazing.
Its regular tape. A little trick someone taught me. Being that those are the main buttons you use all the time It keeps the buttons from loosening and keeps the paint from fading over time.

Cool, but I can’t figure out how to get to the automation page that you start at before you “tune it” or whataver (make it harder to play on with other instrument imo)
Nice video! But I do mines in the reverse way. I lay down my drum pattern first and then I play the chopped sample(s) on top of the drums or afterwards. I guess it's easier for me that way but it's good to have or know about an alternative. Thanx for the gems.

Thin piece of regular plastic wrap then cover with Regular clear tape to seal. Keeps the buttons from breaking and getting too loose and keeps the writing from fading. 👍🏾

So everyone I find a sample it has some weird timing where I can’t loop it perfectly so slicing it into equal regions doesn’t quite work.. are my options to time stretch, pitch up or down, and or fill the odd space with like a sound repeat that sounds like a skip but a good kind of skip..?

You won't find a video with all of that in it. You will have to look at a few different videos from a few different people. Not everything you want will be all in one video.
Hi, I cut my choops, but when I try to play them they are running in background without them stopping when I press another pad. can I make it when I press any pad, all the rest will be disabled?
Trying to add 3 sample to one Pad directly from browser. First from Sampler and second from Wharp directly from browser. Problem is when I have 2 different Hats with the same name, mpc tells me that Hats exist 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔

alot of people dont know the key to getting better at the MPC in standalone is to know the software. Live help sessions would benefit you greatly

Go to the sample edit page. That is where you do everything to your sample.

What is that film you have over your Buttons and what's the purpose? I'm guessing it's to keep the letters from fading off of the buttons over time.

Your options are whatever you think sounds good. Be creative and do what works.

The semi tones knob. In program edit every pad has a few knobs to work with. Semi tones is the first one.

Look for the "poly" and "mono" option in program edit. One is to play more then one pad. The other plays one pad at a time.

Yes. Its a lot to do because you have to do it manually. But it can be done.

8 bars will give you the 16 chops in double time.

Everything you need is in Program Edit screen. You can layer the same samples already in your project on the same pad
How to put in onto the pads.....after the chops
Shift button then tap Convert on the screen
