That's definitely something we wanna keep in mind, as well! Some things, like recipes, are more obvious with the recipe book and the pop ups it gives. Other things definitely need consideration. Even some vanilla stuff could use some of this. Currently, there's no way to know how you would make a golem, as an example.
I LOVE seeing my silly blocks and textures here. They are so whimsical. :3 All work in progress, btw! Literally everything is subject to change/tweaks. If you see something you think needs work, we're likely on it. ;) Hope everyone enjoyed this fun little peek into what we're up to! Plenty of more to come!
This is why we need more segments of the inventory so we can have a section for blocks to go into automatically, tools to have a smaller segment for main inventory slots, ingredients tab, et cetera. Why would creative mode have the sections to find and keep blocks there if not for the purpose of better management of the creative inventory? So, by that logic, why can’t wae have that for survival
I mean it’s a mod, so I would probably use storage drawers for the base materials and then the crates from quark for the sub blocks (since those are just a set number of blocks rather then a chest where your constrained by how many stacks
@@hyperblitz2077 bundles are worthless rn because they can only hold up to 64 items and are for smaller things that you find on your journeys, you can’t use them to put enchantment books in them or any small number of tools in them or potions or any other non-stackable tools in them, because it only fits a small amount of stuff and not too many of the early game contents are remotely not useful enough for a full inventory slot of space
The only way you can make Minecraft feel fresh infinitly is if you have at least 30,000 blocks, because people will forget about 10,000 of them and get a refresh on the blocks when they encounter them, just for their brain to forget about another 10,000.
Honestly props to you for making this mod, I'm so excited to see how this will turn out in the end. Also, I had an idea for a structure: The Nether trial chamber. It could work as there is already the blocks to do it.
Love the mod so far! Though one concern i have is with how much things being added would it be harder to find things already typically in worlds or would it become crowded? One suggestion i have to possibly fix this if it ever becomes an issue is to possibly implement a new villager type which may sell types of saplings or materials Another interesting concept could be to possibly implement new types of cobble generating methods (For instance how you can generate basalt using blue ice below where it generates) Possibly adding other methods to create new types of stone may be a neat concept.
In my opinion, I love having a lot of items and blocks, and I feel like it would be pretty manageable just like terraria. although I see your point, too much is too much.
This might be the best creative mod ive ever seen I am incredibly excited for the release I would ask for a playtesting build, but i know you have a lot of developers so I'm not sure I'd be much help aside from bugtesting. I am dying to use these blocks in my builds. The additions you have made are some of the best of any mod ive seen, particularly the new nature blocks, flowers, mushrooms, ect. Thank you for all your hard work on this mod!!!! I will be following the development intently. =)
YES I’m so excited for you guys I think this is going to the next big mod also are the rideable mobs from Minecraft legends in this mod and if their aren’t then please make them fossils
Mod looks great, only two problems for me: You should just rename the "Netherite" bulding blokcs to steel, it doesn't feel right for them to be called netherite when they're not, and some of the sprites are low quality.
I apprieciate the vanilla miencraft and I still can play it for hours but recently I and few friends started a modded server and we got the chiseled mod it adds so many blocks but it's so exciting, being able to choose anything to have almost unlimited options and on some way it's so freeing it feels like just having aesthetics of few texture packs at your fingertips and sometimes i prefer it. And I really like that your mod adds also structures it's creative, makes you want to explore more for more building options haha.
Unfortunately, being made in MCreator will likely mean it doesn't get any sort of respect in terms of the wider modding community, and modpack devs won't want to use it at all.
I understand you think it would be boring to show all the blocks but that is literally the only reason I was watching the video. If i wanted to watch a build battle I would just do that, I clicked on the video to see the stuff you've added and that was literally less than a quarter of the video. Why bother
I would love, vertical slabs, SIDEWAYS stairs, placeable dummys of all the mobs! like stuffed toy versions of them, including a scaled down enderdragon >;3
Can you please do a video on all the progression stuff? Like all new weapons you showed, more detailed look on the shattered eye of ender thingy (btw was it hard to make the endersent?) etc
I love the builds also question will also be like other biomes in one of three diemensions and if so can there be like a white or rose gold colored wood (this is just a suggestion so you don't have to do this)
We already have a white wood, Mushroom stems can be made into that, rose gold colour is certainly interesting, will look into that as an idea for a colour in building
What 1.21 needs to meet 1.13 hype is a new, early block palette like stripped logs or stone bricks so maybe something like a new kind of reddish clay like the recent mud blocks that can be found between dirt and stone because mud and rooted dirt needs some effort to find. like sandstone, but for a shovel. It would be great if this dirt type had different crafts based on progression like wood and stone. Ex: four red dirt blocks and two sticks for a trough for example for a craft and another is with armadillo scales for a different outcome for maybe a frying table. Minecraft needs more crafts that combine loose materials like how stone and cobble are used with quartz and redstone for observers and comparators while also being versatile as furnaces and decoration. Wood is more useful in the same ways. Dirt is “useless” because it only has crafts for a non vibrant decoration or making more dirt with a hoe. Red dirt or even red sand could be used for crafting podsol from coarse dirt. The shovel needs a use for builders apart from clearing land. mud and red sand could be used to make red dirt . If something like red dirt gets added to Minecraft it should be to combine loose materials like red sand, mud, podsol, dirt, armadillo scutes, coarse dirt, and maybe be a working way to farm concrete powder and maybe could add a way to extract dyes. It would spawn like granite or andesite but a tiny bit less frequently and be closer to the surface and only occasionally breaking the surface. It would add blocks to build a working palette from only dirt, and could be used for challenges like skyblock to get red sand and from dirt and maybe copper? It might look like a red sand color for the mud block, too. This will be what brings me to more recent updates. A different tool being used to gather materials for a starter base before iron armor and progressing crafts for different purposes and build styles. The clay pots kind of do this, but the effort is not worth it. It needs a block like wood or stone, something you run out of and always want and need for ANY project you do. Just on the surface, as a choice everyone is sure to grab and love when it has a great build palette and combines different elements of Minecraft with crafting.
I think a cool mod would be a “random block placer” Where you can place random blocks in your inventory, or a “creative mode” version where it includes all blocks (including modded) in the creative inventory, filterable. I don’t know if that would be possible, but maybe.
With the Netherite building blocks in my WIP mod, I am not nice to the players. At least, not any nicer than Mojang is with Copper. So, use a stonecutter. Only 9 Ancient Debris per Cut Netherite Stair!
the netherite thing is actually very smart i haven't thought of it very hard, but being broken netherite machines does explain why there is ancient debris in the nether, like why is there ancient debris if it wasn't part of something bigger at some point and just crumbled bc of time or some other event
