- I was fortunate enough to study abroad in Brno, the second largest city in the Czech Republic, for three weeks this summer. I wanted to ask you, did you go to the Vinarska Dormitories? from your video it looks like it, but i just wanted to make sure :) and which type of room is it? it looks big hehe

hiiii! 🥰 thank you so much!! I'm totally jealous - I miss my time in Brno so much. I did some digging and watched a couple of videos and yes, it does look like I stayed in the Vinarska Dormitories! I am not sure if my room type had a specific name - we were just placed in a double occupancy room. it was pretty spacious! I was very happy with it :) sorry I couldn't give you any more specific info! have so much fun in Brno :)

I'll be doing Erasmus in Brno too next year but although i am advanced in English, i dont even know one word in czech and it scares me honestly. would be a big deal there? And what do you think of Brno University of Technology, im planning to study Computer Science there. Is it good, the campus life, student, the libraries etc and all??
hiii!! that is so exciting! I was only there for 3 weeks and really didn't do much with any czech students - my group was all from the US - so I’m not really sure how difficult it would be to fit in with the local students. however, I had no issues getting around Brno, using public transit, going shopping, eating out, etc. most people I came across spoke English as well!
I don't have too much of an opinion on the school just because my program was so short and unique. sorry I don't have more answers for you. but I’m sure you will love your time there! I miss it dearly. good luck

Compared to the US, things in the Czech Republic are definitely cheaper!!

which course are you doing ?
I want to say the course titles were something along the lines of "Persuasion in Digital Media" and "Directed Reading in Mass Comm" ...I think, lol! It ended up being a sort of independent study where each of us worked on a project that was individual to our own career goals though. For instance, I filmed, edited, and promoted 6 vlogs as my project, while others did a photography portfolio, created an advertising strategy, etc. So we definitely didn't have a traditional type of class when we were abroad!

nope I wasn't -- I learned the very very basics though!
