HDMI cables are 100% digital. If it works, there shouldn't be any difference in image quality between a cheap one and a good one. If there is a difference in image quality, it's because one isn't able to fully support the same specifications and/or because some other setting is different. If a cable is fully compliant with hdmi 2.1, then the image quality will be the same. You probably shouldn't be spending 60 dollars for a cable. 15 dollars for a hdmi forum certified cable is probably all you need.
the thickness of the cable does mean it can technically contain more wires or thicker wires so it can transmit more data but most of the time the rubber is thicker on purpose to increase longevity not a sign of being "faster"
You spent too much for a HDMI cable which is not HDMI certified also😅 Always look for HDMI certified sticker on the pack. Also cable doesn’t make the grass green. One is HDR on and another one is HDR off. Cable doesn’t do the magic here.
It’s okay. I have several hdmi cables and this ones worth every penny. It cost even more at Best Buy and they even said it’s a very good hdmi. I get what you’re saying though 👍
I wouldn't recommend getting an hdmi cable like the fusion cable for the ps5 because it vents heat above the hdmi port and the fusion cable connectors are made of steel/metal and it makes it hot to the touch and can melt the hdmi port
Thanks for doing this, I got a samsung tu8000 TV, 4k 60hz as well. Just bought these very expensive fusion cables, and had reservations due to the price, after watching your comparison, I know they will have much better colors, than my standard cheap hdmi 4k 2.1 cables.
@Gotta Have Tehq well its a good tv, picture is beautiful, but on 4k streaming or 4k blu ray disk, the picture is darker than I'd like. I'm using cheap hdmi 2.1 cables, and an Xbox one s. People's faces are pink, you can adjust a lot of settings, it looks great in a dark room for 4k, but you have to use dynamic and high contrast, cuz the brightness isn't enough....on Sunday I get a real 4k player, and new cables, I'll let you know if it fixed the pink face issues, and more.
I just wanted to know if my cheap 4k amazon cable was as good as my 8k hdmi cable that came with my xbox ssries x. I guess if they do the same thing there shouldnt be a difference, but to be honest there was a small but still noticeable decrease in the input delay with the included high speed one. Maybe about 10 milliseconds or so but it felt a tiny bit different. Picture quality looks the same.
Waste of money, many 2.0 cables will even work with hdmi 2.1 tv I have rtx 3080 and 4k 120hz tv and all the 2.1 features work with 2.0 cable, you’ll need hdmi 2.1 cable for 8k 60hz gaming for the extra bandwidth, hdmi is a digital signal so buying a more expensive cable won’t improve your picture quality
Does the hdmi support 4k 120 hz with hdr ? For the series x the box doesn’t say I’m tempted to buy but wanna make sure it supports hdr 10 4k 120 hz at the same time like my current hdmi
not entirely true, the shielding on the cable makes a huge difference and if the cable follows the bandwidth specification for the version of interface
@@liquidsk8syes the shielding does make a difference. I had 2 similar spec cables one was cheaper and would pick up a lot of noise in the picture clarity. Of course a higher rated cable will provide faster data transfers but that's not what I'm saying. If shielding didn't make a difference they wouldn't invest resources in providing one.
@@liquidsk8sin theory yes but we all know that 2.4ghz WiFi signal is prone to interference hence why 5ghz band was created. Anything that transfers data is subject to inconsistency in bits. If you don't believe me have several devices connected on the same WiFi channel and see how the signal weakens. It's just not as severe as an analogue signal. Electrical and electro magnetic noise affects digital signals as it travels along the data stream
I would buy that cable. It would you from going into your tv settings and manually doing the settings yourself. Which in my opinion is better because it’s time consuming

@@djsky2k8shielding has zero effect. The only thing that matters is bandwidth. A 18Gbps non hdr cable won’t perform like a 48Gbps HDR cable.
