Awesome review guys! Thought about doing a Let's Play series of this, but wasn't sure, now we're going to give it a shot. Keep up the great work!
I definitely recommend it. And the game is very doable at 'Level 1' if you're looking to do a challenge run. Just get good at parries ;).

OH The outtro? That's actually custom made for this channel. I'd have been super amazed if you could find it anywhere but here, haha. The outtro was in fact commissioned from Jam- who is the composer for SiS and the rest of the Skautfold series.

Few criticisms audio of the other guy (Sean) seems to be a bit low, it's hard to hear, and you guys talk a bit slow for my taste, so I sped it up to 1.25x.
No worries at all- It's been a while since I worked with Sean for the review bits- but yeah, we had very different set ups for recording equipment. I'd like to think our more recent videos and interviews have been a large step up in audio quality.
Got this game, liking it and was wondering if people know this (AND THE SERIES IT BELONGS TO) Exists.
It's a good question. I've played every game asofar, but yeah, It's always hard to find other people who've played this in the wild. And sometimes trying to explain that the games genre shift between iterations is a bit of a trip.

Cool review and cool game. They need to bring this to console. Maybe even a remastered version and with dlc. I wish it was on PS4 so bad.
I'm glad you enjoy it- There's actually a pair of sequels at the moment 'Usurper + Into the fray'. And I believe there's another two games planned as well. Though each game is a rather different beast from it's predecessor, and follows a different character that was in SiS.
@@CritHit Hey im back. I finally bought my first gaming laptop ever so I can finally play the Skautfold games! Ive been thinking about them ever since I saw them. Haha Anyways I need help, I really dont like mouse and keyboard and want to use controller. Is there a very universal controller you reccomend that will work for most games like the Skautfold games? I heard xbox controllers work best but thats literally the only controller I really dont like. I am accustomed to PlayStation controllers and similar styles. @@CantTreadOnMe I personally use a PS4 Controller- and I use the DS4 program. For games that have innate PS4 support, you will need to disable it. But otherwise, it's what carries me through all my gaming. (I use PS4, because a lot of PS3 support is discontinued, as opposed to the 4). - Hope that helps.

No review of the second entry, usurper?
Funnily enough, I've reviewed Moonless Knight and Into the Fray. There was an interview with Pug about Usurper- including the Sunken city Free DLC that never hit- but I missed the review. I think because of the channel hiatus that happened back then.
I keep seeing the same enemies over and over again. Gonna pass on this one.
It -is- a smaller pool of enemies for this game, but, given the overall scale at the game, I wasn't overly bothered by it. There also was a bit less variety since by this juncture- I wasn't dying that often, and triggering the alternate forms of everything.
That said, I haven't actually poked at the title since it's re-Release.
