Coming out on ios first without being cheaper or having more features than Procreate is a weird choice. I'd also think more MB users are on Android thanks to the limited options.

Got a Samsung Galaxy Tab S9, and have been missing Procreate (although I'm not an avid artist, I get the itch to doodle now and again). Glad to hear Medibang is getting a Pro Android version! I have one thing to note about Procreate vs Medibang and that's in the brushes. I'd love to know more about the brush engine bc I know that Procreaate brushes, while impressive in what they can do, don't work the same as other brushes like those in PS, Medibang, sometimes CSP (though CSP is known to have a complex brush engine). Depending on your workflow, Medibang Pro might be great for someone who uses multiple apps in their workflow.
Yeah! That's what i found so difficult drawing using procreate, the brushes are super....wonky?! IDK I tried more than once and it's annoying to me because i use PS to draw and I didn't want a subscription for CSP, I'm so sad for paying that app thinking that it's similar to PS and seeing everyone loving & using it .
You'd want this over Procreate because a lot of its brush behavior/default brushes and settings are better-suited for clean comic/anime/manga style than Procreate. I've seen a number of people who draw with a clean style, refuse to switch to another app because Medibang's tools just have a better feel for them. I think if you could never get your anime-ish or cute art to look right in Procreate, Medibang is worth trying to see if it's actually a better app for you. It would definitely be a huge deal if it were on Android. I think PC users can tolerate the original version more than tablet users would.
yea, the anti-aliasing is a bit better from my experience with the older variant. i was waiting on them to finally update the ipad version, cause at first it seemed neglected compared to the one on pc

3 things i look for in a drawing app these days: ability to flip the canvas without actually transforming the whole image, a reference/navigator window, and the ability to import custom (preferably photoshop) brushes. I saw only the flipping of the canvas here(maybe, it wasn't clear if that was a transformation or not). Are the other 2 things there at all?
Hey Brad, Not sure what your camera setup is but it kept focusing on your hand and bluring the screen. Small suggestion: lock the focus on the screen before recording.

@@sloppynyuszi Thanks. It's one of the great few Windows drawing apps that works well with touch, but it isn't really an answer to Procreate. It's kind of it's own thing.

Seeing this, I think the interface is better than procreate. Close to some professional software like Photoshop. Like all the layer settings appear when you click the layer. On procreate, I need to struggle with that small Alphabet for the blending mode.

I would like to know, if you put down a vanishing point, save the project, and then close it to reopen the project, does the vanishing point stay? Not saving the location of the vanishing point is one of the things that made me stop using Medibang.😅
on medibang for ipad, the way you save the vanishing point is by saving a snap. when you do that you can come back later and use the same exact vanishing point as before by turning the snap one! its in the same menu under “other”!

One question, in procreate, if you draw a circle, it automatically fixes it , which is called “Quick shapes “, this app does the same, I mean, without accessing that shapes tab?
Great review... just got my s9 ultra and I'm looking forward to this coming to Android... One critique about the video... It seems you have the mic on the table, attached to the table, or touching the table somehow? I'm listening with headphones and each of your touches on the iPad is quite amplified because of this... It's a bit jarring and distracting, at least for me... Otherwise, great video!

I tested it out. From what I can tell the gradient tools don't color band the way that Procreate's airbrushes and gaussian blur tool does. So I might use this tool for some parts of my rendering process.
I want iPad painting apps to have a dialogue that allows for Save as or Don’t Save as MacOS programs do. Procreate is a perfect example of what annoys me about this.
I found this app to be glitchy, the worst thing being its automated cloud saving which repeatedly lost hours of work even after it expressly stated it had saved. A little frustrating.

Looks interesting, but as much people i expected to be on Android since day 1 too. More options to choose always are good (there's good options in Android like Infinite Painter or HiPaint but new competitors always be welcomed)
Absolutely no reason to purchase this software on Ipad & thats sad. The strokes are visibly lagging
Finally!!! A Procreate clone that's coming to Windows!! It's been years!!!
I bet I'm going to be disappointed when they require a subscription instead of Perpetual license on Windows version.
Have you tried sketchable? It’s probably as tablet-y a drawing app can get and it’s only on windows. Although sketchable plus really chugs on my surface 8 pro. The old one runs fine.
@@sloppynyuszi Thanks. It's one of the great few Windows drawing apps that works well with touch, but it isn't really an answer to Procreate. It's kind of it's own thing.
Is it possible to do things that Procreate lacks which Photoshop has? I'm thinking like non-destructive editing and adjustments or mixer-style brushes (brushes that use the colours on the canvas, not 100% certain that's the term though)?
probably not because procreate is trash
Seeing this, I think the interface is better than procreate. Close to some professional software like Photoshop. Like all the layer settings appear when you click the layer. On procreate, I need to struggle with that small Alphabet for the blending mode.
Okay, yeah, but... for Android, try current version of infinite painter. 😉
That's a really good app but I've never enjoyed their default brushes all that much for sketching and linework.
Layer limit?
I was hoping this is is on Android ^^
Just startet drawing in general and i dont wanne learn 5 programs so i´m searching for a good app/drawprogramm so i can concentrate on drawing.
What would you recommend now for an S9 User? That line stabilisation looks realy good btw.
Thanks for the video!
I’ve read that they will launch an android version soon
I really like artflow on Android. I don’t know why they don’t get love anymore. It’s a really nice app.
IbisPaint
Infinite Painter, the full version isn't much expensive and the app is really good (you pay once for the full app, i purchased it for 2.5 dollars for new user offer)
@@arturojoestar5its 12.50 now but it looks very nice and it has a lot of options i am searching for so thanks a lot!
@@teeheezallie I see. Thank you for your answer!
can someone help me ... i can't seem to find to export a time lapse of my drawings ... create new work doesn't seem to have any time lapse tab in the app ...
Can you invert the side of things? For left handed people?
Bro you didn't mention about symmetrical drawing options. Is there any shortcut like photoshop and krita etc
Brad,
Please consider turning off the high tech, super fast gadget-o-tronic auto focus on your camera, and instead use old school 20th century manual focus on the tablet surface. 😅
Edit: This is very difficult for me to watch, sorry... Your hands are very nice, yet I really wish to see (and especially read) what happens on the tablet screen. 😟
Wish he covered the user interface and brush backup
Can you tell me if this is an other useless app like infinite painter that you pay and just soon after all your projects keep crashing constantly ?
Why would text tool need an internet connection.
How hard is it for these companies ADD ONE IN ANDROID
does it have animation
I use it since last month and I'm loving it I like it more than the older medibang it has good brushes
This one has a better fill toll that can actually refer to all layers. So there is a compelling reason imho
I refuse to use something that sounds like an ED medication.
I'll stick to fresco for now.
Im soo happy right now. Im thinking buy a tabs9 but Im upset thaht I cant download procreate on android. And medibang appears YEHUU F*CK YPU PROCREATE WE HAVE MEDİABANG HAHA
Idk what medibang is hoping to achieve with a procreate rip off on IOS and not android. As long as I can pay 10 bucks for procreate itself, I do not need Medibang pro. But if I had an Android tablet I would like to have a similar app available when I don't feel like using CLIP
That is a sensitive mic. Every time you tap it sounds like there’s a tyrannosaur walking towards you
I found this app to be glitchy, the worst thing being its automated cloud saving which repeatedly lost hours of work even after it expressly stated it had saved. A little frustrating.
In case it comes to Android, do you consider it is a better option than Infinite Painter, or they are very similar?
Why not spend a few moments talking about brushes, blends, layers etc … very basic and pointless review.
Tried it; hated it !
The “Ruler” was very counterintuitive with too many accessory menus, when no menu’s should be required !
Can it open PSDs or PRO files?
Does it have a layer limit or max canvas size?
