Finally getting to the UK, aitch always pops off !!
Yes! New sub. My second favourite reaction to this after No Life Shaq. Your breakdown is spot on! He did this when he wasn’t known just to start promoting his own channel. It’s so raw! But that’s his essence.
Ocean wisdom, Dizzy Rascal, Lady leshurr, French the kid, Lowkey and Akala are some of my fav UK artists.

I loved this when I first heard it - maybe 3 years ago - and he’s only 17/18ish here! This track really blew him up in the UK.
Since then I’ve blown hot and cold with him - I think the closest track to this he’s dropped is MiCE, which I also love - no hook again, just rhyming!
He’s got more club type songs for the younger audience though - Taste (Make it Shake), Rain with AJ Tracy (I think this was set up fir the American market with Tay Keith on production). He’s also got a decent freestyle on Kenny’s show and a Daily Duppy that’s worth a listen.
Because he’s very upfront about not being into weapons, crime, drugs etc and doesn’t rap about any of that his lyrics can get a bit repetitive - a lot of it is his cheeky banter with the ladies and good flows!
His cadence is great though and I think he is more commercial than a lot of UK artists - even though quite a few are better lyricists.
If you’re looking for something current - the whole Stormzy and Chip beef is really entertaining! It’s maybe not a popular opinion but Inthubk Chip is one of the best lyricists in the UK and has been in the game for years!!!
As others have said, Dave is brilliant, Akala, Fredo, Ghetts, mic Righteous and I suppose Stormzy and Wiley!
The Stormzy and Wiley beef is also hilarious!
Stormzy also did a great live set at the Brits in 2018(I think!?) when he called out the government and Prime Minister at the time for the Grenfell Tower Disaster, it’s definitely worth watching!

Sorry - just to add that when I said aitch’s lyrics can get a little same-y I didn’t mean he should rap about guns and drugs, I just meant he doesn’t rely on these topics like a lot of Rappers do but he also doesn’t get too heavy and deep with his lyrics - like Dave does for example. Aitch is still really entertaining to listen to regardless and I think has a heavy female fan base!!! Lol!
