There is a story in which ASTRO members tell, when their was in training before they debuted, they were allowed to learn a choreography in two days and he learned ten.
It's just 2 days and they should learn choreo as many as they can, when other members haven't finished with 1 choreo, Rocky learned about 10 choreos 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Always love to see a dancer’s reaction to Rocky. He’s definitely had formal training - ballet, tap, contemporary - in addition to regular idol training. Also he is pretty good at learning choreo from videos. Moon Bin (the other main dancer who does a great cover of Itzy’s Wannabe) will sometimes do live streams of himself learning random choreo from video by fan request in the live chat, and he learns so quickly, and he says Rocky is even faster at learning choreo.

Rocky is the beast on the dance floor! He instantly changes as soon as the music starts -- from a sweet loving boy to this dance monster! He is awesome!

So glad you had a chance to see Rocky in action. When he's covering other dancers, he certainly hits differently. In Criminal, for instance, he's not just mimicking the moves or copying the choreography, he's literally adapting it to his own abilities with the original as a blueprint. His body control is second to none. He hasn't done vlive random dances in a while, but when he did, it was phenomenal to see what his musicality level is. He's literally a master class in finding movement to even the smallest nuances of sound (or none!). You listen to a song, you imagine what the beat is, what you can hit and skip. Rocky finds that one note/sound, high in the back, and makes that phenomenal body MOVE to it. I've watched thousands of hours of dance, and watching him freestyle choreo is one of the most incredible things I've ever witnessed. There's a composition video of his freestyle dances, and it's well worth the watch.

This is why Rocky was named "Dance Machine". He is good in choreography also starting the age of 12. You can also check ASTRO Moon Bin's dance covers. He is also amazing like Rocky. One of the great choreos and dance executions are from ASTRO. I recommend you Blue Flame, Knock, Moonwalk and With You. Those are excellent dance songs. 💜💜💜

Rocky is a phenomenon. I hope you can check out his own choreo project Ice Flower which he just released. I can’t get over this guy’s talent. And this is just his dancing... he’s also an incredible singer, composer and producer! How can one man have so much talent 🤯
When 3 members of ASTRO had this special performance with 4 other members from other groups, rocky only learned the choreo on his phone, and taught his members the dance. I think it took him 3 hours? To learn the choreo by watching the vid, then teach the other two members separately for their parts. The song they covered was Idol by BTS. They actually have footage of their practice on their channel.
