Dogfight is a great movie, probably River's most underrated. Good old 'looks aren't everything' romance & Lili Taylor is great in it, it's definitely her finest hour.

The party is described as a "Dogfight" b/c they're suppose to find an 'ugly girl' as a date. Phoenix's character desperate to find a date discovers a girl who isn't a 10 but still falls in love with her. It's a "never judge a book by it's cover story"
The French Connection on blu is awesome, also a good grab, because the digital and streaming versions of the film are now edited, they took about 5 mins out of the film and didn't tell any one when they did it.
You got the botched transfer edition of 'The French Connection.' Blown out contrast, bad grain structure/excessive grain that almost looks like snow. And I *like* a nice grainy picture. Even the old DVD looks better.
One of these days they are going to find you on the floor of a thriftstore having a heartattack. And the last thing on your phone is going to be you asking for God and then suddenly a loud voice saying: What do you want Dave over the PA system. LOL
