That’s a sweet set up, let the night shift begin, 10 PM till 6 AM, or 9 PM till 5 AM. Lol lol.
I think the boss would be pretty lax on start times if I wanted to change it up from time to time!
Nice light
Thanks!
thats perfect ! Set up for summer splitting mode ! I need to do the same - cool nights are the best in summer. Solid work
All about maximizing the free time I have!
Nice job Elliott. Now you can really get the wood going
Could start running shift work out there now...no excuses left!
Nice setup and results. I would use the red anti short thing though ;-)
That's why its electrical code...I doubt that MC will last long outdoors anyway...I'm sure it'll be roached before winter, and by that time I'm sure I'll have a more long lasting solution.
Looks good!!! Maybe higher would help? Still looks damn good
That’s the plan now that I’ve tested it. Gotta get the ole extension ladder out
Looks like a perfect set up to me. Bright to see what you are doing in the cutting zone and bright enough to see when your baskets are full in the splitting zone. Using the box wedge on the Eastonmade, how much light do you really need? Once a log is rolled in, the Eastonmade does the rest. Nice setup you have there Elliot!
It sure beats trying to do it with a head lamp on! Thanks for watching!
In about another month, that light is going to attract every bug in the neighborhood.
Hey, if the bugs are at the light, they aren’t buggin me!
Your only solution is to build high firewood walls to direct the light around the pole to the correct locations... /s but I would like to see that.
my very own Firewood Castle...
Elliot, did you make the lead/cable hangers you have on the side of your welding cart? I'd be interested in how you did it.
I did make them. And honestly thought about making a video, but said “nah who’s gunna want to watch this…”
Guess I found my answer. I went and got some 4” squared off U bolts from tractor supply, cut the one leg off and welded them to the cart. They work super well!
They look like they would. I'm going to make a few for my cart.
Might be a little low. Put the ladder in the bucket of your tractor and up you go. Can you spell OSHA violations???
OSHA need not apply
