Hey cool video. I received a unit for my E84 X1. Supposed to be Snapdrahon 680 with 8gb RAM. Some of the wiring isn't making sense so I wanted to figure this out before installing it. Problem is I only have 7 fays to test. How did you test it while not installed on the car? Is it just a 12V battery and you try to find ground and 12V DC wire?
Please do review about the latest 15" one, and please reccomend us sellers with best screens.. Ofcourse they are all low level reflective screens compared to OEM BMW ones, but maybe some of them are better than others. This would be nice to know, how about the latest one, did they solved some things...? Also they never mention the refresh rates, so I assume they're all 60hz? altho the 15"looks pretty smooth... Thanks

I was considering buying this unit when I found the review. I know that with all these units, the sound goes through the aux. I am wondering if running the android and using the aux the tire pressure sensors would be able to indicate if i have a flat tire. My assumption is that they will not. If the video and the sound are not coming from the oem operation system. Also, how does it work with phone calls. Does it work seamlessly with the digital cockpit. My bmw is with nbt, and my instrument cluster is digital.
1. Although I have not tested it, TPMS warning is also displayed on the instrument cluster, so should you have any issue you will see it. 2. in my car I am running an older version and for phone quality ... can't give feedback on that.

@@LazarPetkov search for Navifly 12.3‘ UIS7862 ... but the sofware it has ... is not as good as the one with the 665 chip ... because I bought it ... i keep it ... and when I install for customers I install the better units :)
@@BestCarMods I did some research and found that Navfly offers a new model with a Snapdragon 663 and 8gigs of RAM. The one you mentioned is with a maximum of 4gigs of ram. I am going to order the newer Navfly - NaviFly 12.3" S662 Carplay Android 12 ID8 Car GPS Navigation DVD Player for BMW 5 Series F10/F11/520 (2011-2016) CIC/NBT System. Thank you for the advice!

It will be the center of attention inside the car and I definitely don’t want to have a backlight irregularity like in unit that you showed. So thank you for this important information! By the way, what do you think about 10 inch units? I have a BMW F07, and 10 inch android units looks like something original from an aesthetic point of view. I’m afraid a bit that 12 inch will look a bit like something from chinas aftermarket. But 12 has more WOW factor for sure
@@MagnetiqLabs with the 10 inch units you have more companies making them and more options of where to buy. But you don't have a waw change. The 12.3 unit + Caplay / android auto will change the car ... you go from 2010 to 2023 ... These 12.3 inch units look bad in pictures. When you are next to them, you change your mind.
well ... it is a hard one to answer ... the software is the same ... only screen will be bigger ... In the past I was saying that I will never fit a screen other than the original size because it looked strange in the photos. Now i have the 12.3 inch and I changed my mind, it is really good ... the 14.9, in the pictures seems to much for me, however it might be ok in reallife ... you will have to test it ...
Hello, great review. My headunit looks very similar to this one software wise. I ran the fake device check and everything came back fine and correct. Could there be a chance for the manufacture to fake that test aswell or am I fine? Want to make sure I didn’t get ripped off Thank you
up to this point I did not see any unit having been able to do that. Sometimes I take them apart to see what is inside. Now realistically, you don't need crazy specs as you would run Andorid auto or apple carplay, and those are using the hardware from your phone.

@@BestCarModsone thing that is keeping me from buying this device is that i’ve seen some guys installing these but in order to recieve audio from the device they would need to have a cable running to the aux port inside the armrest wich would occupy it constantly.. So i would assume in order to listen to bluetooth music from my phone i would need to unplug the cable from the aux port each time but still i can’t hear navigation directions etc at the same time. Is this true for all cases and is there a workaround?
@@Stomping-On-Roses bluetooth music will go to the unit and the unit will output via AUX to the car AMP to sent to the speakers. You will never unplug your aux cable. also you can always select the mode from the car menu and select other source than the aux cable.

Used only the factory bmw Bluetooth for wireless connection. Usually your phone gives you that option. If you use the Android FSC-SKITS connection wireless 😢something like that . Which is searching for the android mic. Which is trash. If still a problem just connect via USB with all phones

@@qaching you have the right mindset. I would also add that you should install it asap to check it. any problem raise it with the seller before you are out of those 15 days.
the lower dash trim will press it into place. maybe place some electrical tape on the bottom part so that it does not scratch your plastic trim. @@qaching

Watching you use that screen is painful, its so god dam slow and dim. I bought mine from XTRONS uk and its a million times better. Super responsive and the screen is colourful and sharp. These Chinese site always have crap when it comes to electronics
Hi me is that the radio only comes on with the ignition on the BMW F11. I have to turn on the ignition specifically for the radio. I’ve been using 15” inexpensive from aliexpress ($350) for 2 months so far no issues and this is the the most effective interior upgrade for the cost.
