@@miffyn1737Hannibal is definitely a psychopath however as Dr Gideon has said the term sociopath has not been in the DSM since 1968. It's not a term anymore.
From the very moment I saw you on Hannibal, I loved your voice. It drew me in, and I was so disappointed that I could only hear a small section of it. Only two short minutes. I would watch that one section on a loop just to hear it. And then one day I started looking on RUclips and found the opera scene. Once I found that, one video told me who sang it. And so tonight, a three year search has finally concluded. Your voice would shame the angels. May you live long and sing beautifully all the days of your life. Rarely does music move me to tears- and almost never does singing move me, but your singing has moved me to tears. One of the comments on one of the videos I saw was “the only time Hannibal ever cried,” and while I am no Dr. Lecter, you can add making me cry in appreciation of your musical beauty to your long list of beautiful accomplishments. I thank God for your beautiful voice, and thank you for sharing it with the world.
Doubt that.... Hannibal murders people because they offend his sensibilities. I bet that he cries to himself quite often. He is probably over whelmed with beauty or "rightness" and cries. I think that what would get Hannibal into a homicidal frenzy would be to shatter these rare moments of ecstasy by showing dullard behavior. He would want to destroy the culprit for shattering a moment of transcendence and beauty. Their death would be an atonement for a lifetime of idiocy.
Like most, I first heard this on Hannibal, but what a surreal moment of beauty that was, I'll never forget it! You were the central piece of it all, hypnotizing me both in the most elegant appearance and the flawless, otherworldly performance, thank you so much for this precious gift you are! Also, being able to write a direct comment to you... that's a very special thing for me.
Perfetto! Now, what made your aria so unique. Especially the portion where Cleopatra after losing Cesar sings "fatta spetro"; now it's natural to be intense and fast paced but most sopranos in excitement pace too fast, you lose to relish that segment. You have a tremendous control over the trill near "agitero", marvelous. I must admit, you are by far the best performer of this aria. Che bello!
I have heard so many versions.. from Joyce DiDonato and Simone Kerres (for example), but this is extraordinary. I have heart the song sung, but this is a work of art! I wish I could hear such beauty „live“ one day. I would love to hear her sing „Sposa son disprezzata“.. such passion!
Me too. The organ might be called the "Queen of all Instruments" but I also prefer the harpsichord's metallic sound, when it comes to the basso continuo in baroque music. 👍
Not an Hannibal fan, my daughter was watching the show in the living room, I wasn't, your voice made me stop and go there to see what show it was. What a voice! Loved it!
The voice of a tuneful goddess, has send me to a trance. and yet I find it hopeless, to break my solid stance. my mind stopped in defeat, my heart skips the beats till the day I hear her tune, my soul will become anew.
I saw you in a Hannibal and I’m watching Hannibal second time. I think you gave life to the iconic scene where we feel the character of Hannibal with your voice thanks
Emily, To hear you sing the aria you did in Hannibal with a camera practically touching your vocal cords while maintaining perfect delivery as they dragged it out has made me a fan of yours for life.
I do not comment very much, but when i do it's because i found something very unique and special. Not only the exquisite voice, but the way you can present it elevates it into a high level of art... Greetings from Belgium
@@EmilyKlassen Its annoying, people like me would have never looked twice at this music. However that performance here and in Hannibal, sort of invigorated myself and a few friends. Appreciating a genre we never thought we would. Cheers Emily, that voice is special:)
@@EmilyKlassen my apologies, the annoying thing is we had no idea just how beautiful classical opera actually is. You should be at the forefront of every sport belting out national anthems, in every movie singing a sad whimsical melody over a harsh reality. Yeah that's what I ment by annoying, a TV show with the budget of Hannibal is a good introduction but damn, that visceral passion in your voice needs to be far more widespread! I ain't being a lickspittle it's true lol.
such beauty , talent , strength in your voice , hauntingly beautiful . thank you for taking me out of the real world for some minutes . This symphony is my get away .
Im always amazed when I hear such a beautiful voice! I just can't understand how someone can sound that great?! But thank god some people are this talented or we'd have nothing this awesome to listen to. :D
Your voice is tremendously touching. I focus very much on the emotions rather than the technique when listening to you. I have listened to many versions of this song by different talented women, you are one of my favourites, definitely in my top three! I am subscribing to listen to your channel and am thankful for your uploads. It will be a treat enjoying your voice. Take care, Emily.
Não há palavras capazes de representar quão belo é sua arte caríssima Emily Klassen, e digo mais, devias cantar no museion, onde as musas, deusas gregas do canto devem estar.
An angel sings from her rafters from Heaven upon high as I, the monster sealed in ice in the seventh circle of the inferno is warmed by the allure of her glorious love for all living beings both mighty and monstrous. O, but whenst can thy attend to thine beloved?
Not gonna lie, Hannibal brought me here - but amazingly beautiful and powerful singing kept me here! bravo!
lol same xD
Hannibal é cultura! lol
Zoe M Stewart me too 🤪
and again
Same
This is truly one of my favorite scenes from Hannibal because of her voice. Exceptional skill and talent!
The voice that made a psychopath cry... I can't describe how much this touches me...
Emilia Subia he's not even psychopath nor sociopath
Nascha Lecter u r right

This song really made me fall in love with opera
This woman made Hannibal cried. The only time in his lifetime.
Nah.... He's very passionate about music and art, he can cry for it. Not for humans though
She makes me cry to. I dont know why.
he cried when he penatrated will just to be reminding
he would not eat her...

Nope, Bzzz. Start from 0:00
Before we begin, you must all be warned, no one here, is vegetarian😂
Just realized that it's the same singer who performed the piece in Hannibal 🤦♀
Duas da manhã no Brasil e estou ouvindo para dormir. Obrigado por seu talento.
Don’t wanna be a bandwagoner, but yep. Hannibal introduced me to Emily. So glad to discover her talent and hear more of her work. Superb.
Good God. This is unearthly. You have such intense power - so magnificent to watch and listen to.
Sublime, although I will always favour the harpsichord over the organ.

Extraño tanto tu hermosa voz, mi bello ruiseñor...🌹
Now i understand why Arthur Schopenhauer hate people when they spoke during the opera.
