One of the great up-and-coming hard rock singers of our time, Ronnie Romero (Rainbow, Lords Of Black, Sunstorm, The Ferrymen) has announced the release of a unique covers album, "Raised On Radio" on April 15, 2022. Pre-order/save "Raised On Radio" HERE: orcd.co/romero "Raised On Radio" features covers of classics that have meant something special to Romero over the years and helped forge this talented singer's musical style. Songs by legendary acts like Survivor, Bad Company, Foreigner, Queen, Led Zeppelin, and more are given Romero's talented vocal treatment here. Joining Romero is a stellar cast of musicians, including Srdjan Brankovic (The Big Deal, Alogia) on guitar, Javi Garcia on bass, Andy C (ex-Lords of Black) on drums, and Alessandro Del Vecchio on keyboards, who also handled production, mixing and mastering. Serafino Perugino, President & Head of A&R for Frontiers, obviously already had a working relationship with Romero through Lords Of Black and The Ferrymen, but knew Romero had the pipes to sing Melodic Rock/AOR (hence why he brought him in to sing for 2020's "Afterlife" by Sunstorm). As the two discussed Romero working on a solo album for the label, Perugino brought forward the idea of Romero covering classic AOR and Classic Rock artists for a covers album. Romero, being a fan of these styles already and influenced by them in his formative years, knew he could easily pick a killer list of songs that suited his tastes and thus, "Raised On Radio" was born. Through Romero's career thus far, he has performed killer renditions of several rock classics as part of his shows fronting legendary acts like Rainbow and the Michael Schenker Group (MSG). He's also covered classic songs by Journey, Queen, Rainbow, and more with Spanish metallers Lords Of Black. So, with trying his hand at covers by legendary artists being familiar territory already, “Raised on Radio" were waters that Romero was already comfortable wading into. But rather than go for covers of well known mega-hits, Romero and company went for, in most cases, lesser known, deep cuts from these legendary bands. Because after all, when you truly love a band, you know those gems buried beneath the surface on their hit albums. Such gems by Queen, Kansas, Elf, Uriah Heep, Bad Company, Foreigner, and more are taken on here with passion and enthusiasm by Ronnie and his backing band of supremely talented players. Romero's voice and prolific musical activity have brought him to the forefront of the hard rock/metal scene where he can be seen/heard with Lords of Black, The Ferrymen, Sunstorm, Rainbow, and the Michael Schenker Group. Ambitious and driven as always, this record is a special treat for fans while Romero continues work on his proper debut solo album of original material, which is being worked on at the moment. Tracklist: 1. Sin's A Good Man's Brother (Grand Funk Railroad) 2. Backstreet Love Affair (Survivor) 3. No Smoke Without a Fire (Bad Company) 4. I Was Born To Love You (Queen) 5. Play The Game Tonight (Kansas) 6. Carolina County Ball (Elf) 7. Girl On The Moon (Foreigner) 8. Gypsy (Uriah Heep) 9. Voices (Russ Ballard) 10. All Along The Watchtower (Bob Dylan) 11. Since I've Been Loving You (Led Zeppelin) LINE-UP: Ronnie Romero - vocals Srdjan Brankovic - guitars Javi Garcia - bass Andy C - drums Alessandro Del Vecchio - keyboards Additional Musicians: Danny Gómez - lead guitar on “I Was Born To Love You” Javier Reyes - lead guitar on “All Along The Watchtower” Corina Minda - backing vocals on “All Along The Watchtower” Social Media: facebook.com/ronnieromeroofficial instagram.com/ro_ck_nnie/ ruclips.net/user/ronaldoromeroforus
Where to begin? I love this! Ronnie is the consummate rock singer with range and his gravelly voice that is positively KILLER! Actually, this and the recent The Ferrymen album are better avenues for his incredibly talent than The Lords of Black (sorry, Ronnie). This music and The Ferrymen seem to allow him to exude more emotion. DAMN I LOVE HIM, he is amazing. And lastly, keep the hair growing Ronnie, it's gorgeous!
This kind of music should be recorded by Ronnie. With hard rock roots. Sounds so powerful, his voice is one of the best vocals of today and the solo guitars were played with a lot of emotion. If anyone is a new rock star, it’s Ronnie!
O see there.....wen this New Track started playing....this Juke Joint s Dance Floor filled up. This Track iz this weeks Heaviest Drop. Welcome to PM Turntable!!!
Great powerful cover! And so pleasant, that Bad Company's legacy of Brian Howe's era isn't forgotten (despite to all Paul Rodgers' best efforts to erase this period from the band's history.) Ronnie's voice is more and more similar to deceased Steve Lee.
Funny you said that. First two lines of this and all I could think of was "When did Ronnie start sounding like Steve Lee??" He sounds better singing this kind of thing instead of pure metal where he sometimes sounds a little stiff.
@@getrocked-onair Well I guess that depends on how you're looking at it. Mick Ralphs basically dismisses it because at that point it wasn't Bad Co, it was the Terry Thomas radio rock band featuring Brian Howe on vocals and the other guys were being treated like hired hands. I certainly don't really recognize it as Bad Co--it was a completely different sounding band. As far as Paul Rodgers goes, he's well known for not being warm and fuzzy so why everyone thought he should be giving eulogies to his replacement I'm not sure I understand.
@@jayrusnak Brian was kind of thrown in the situation by the record label (calling it Bad Co). No one wanted that. I understand that Mick and Simon didn't like the arrangement. To me, it would have showed class if they (and especially Paul) had been more gracious. I was most disappointed by Paul's video. JMHO
No Smoke Without A Fire Is An Absolutely Awesome Spectacular Great Straight Up Rock N Roll Cover Song By Ronnie Romero And Totally Rocks It Needs To Be Fully Cranked Up All The Way To Full Maximum Volume.
Long live rock n roll 💓🤘✌️
If this was Rainbow's new song, I would cry with happiness! Get Blackmore to make an album like this! And until then congratulations to the team that did this, because it's fantastic. And Ronnie ... History repeats itself, another singer Ronnie who is a rock god!
Yesterday I was writing in a video of The Ferrymen about the number of different projects where Ronnie Romero is envolved, and today I discover a new project of this guy. Rock will never die with people like Ronnie!
@@allengator1914 my friend told me that it is very good cover although not as good as original.Metallica does the best covers i think...Not all of them but most are even better than original.Breadfan is the best example
