Thanks Ginny, Your still telling me what to do and solving my problems. Ha I've actually quilted a couple quilts and love the Coronet. This time I found myself retreading the machine over and over so you tubed thread breakage and there you are. Love it.
When I tried fixing my continuous thread breaks, the big discovery was the needle was not seated high enough, making the needle skim the bobbin thread catcher. I am now going to look at that the first thing.
@@carollyon4423 You have 2 feet you sew with. Some call the foot that the thread goes through the center toe/ foot. It has a slot or a hole in it. Turn it slightly to the right. If you are having freying the thread is most likely catching some burr that you cannot see with your eye. Are you using an industrial machine?
I just replaced my needle and now my thread is breaking a lot. How can you tell if the needle is exactly where it should be? Without a flat back to the shaft like a regular sewing machine I find it hard to tell if I am dead center with the needle
thankyou :) I had viewed several other videos but they never said to check needle is inserted properly ;) aha I had needle snap and replaced then thread kept snapping.

Check your center toe as well. It may well be damaged. Try another toe. This will apply mainly to thread fraying
What’s the center toe?
