It's probably a GTA5 thing, but the engineer's control stand is on the right. Also as a model railroader, I have to warn you, Union Pacific is quite protective of their logo. They require model railroad manufacturers to pay royalties.
I think it would be neat to add in the red cabin lights that LEO’s have on during dark hours to illuminate the inside of their vehicle. Small touch but would be cool, love your videos
Hey Jeff, just catching up on some videos and I see you are using Sonoran CAD now. Just a couple of pro tips if you haven't already figured it out by now but, if you lock a plate in the plate reader it will auto put it in the CAD and run it, even on the out of game program. It's a pretty nice feature. Also, when you run a plate and the person comes up, there is a little magnifying glass by their first and last name, if you click one of them it will pop up a new window and run them for you. Makes it easier if you're trying to do something quick. But hey, never hurts just to type it in to pass the time. I also just found out today they have a stream deck plugin it's pretty nice to easily change your status or hit the panic button and things like that. Anyways, hope everyone is enjoying the new CAD, I certainly like it.
Yep. I work in EMS and with our CAD system you can load up a map on the MDT in our ambulances that will show you in real time where all of the EMS, Fire, and Police units are in the city/county with little icons on the map. It is really useful. Especially if you need to know how far another unit/supervisor is away from your scene, whether the police are on your scene yet if you are staging, etcetera. We've had it for a few years now.
I don’t know how it works in Florida, but in California the Sheriff Department trumps local police. County envelopes city’s so there for gives Sheriff jurisdiction in the entire county.

You really gotta quit stopping in the middle of the road at that intersection off route 68. It’s NOT a 4 way stop. It’s a through and through road for 68 CONSTANT traffic NO stop. Joshua road has stop signs at that intersection, NOT route 68. If you were doing that in front of a cop in real life they’d stop you for brake checking traffic and very potentially ticket you depending how they’re feeling. But that’s 100% NOT a stop and doing so is break checking any traffic behind you which IS illegal to break check and impede traffic which is what you’re doing everytime you stop in the middle of a state route road with no cause or reason. If someone rear ended you at that intersection you could very easily be held at fault for break checking them and impeding a roadway. A state route at that which is even more serious to impede traffic and almost ALWAYS a ticket first time any highway patrol or sheriffs see it. And NO ONE can stop in the middle of traffic and impede a STATE ROUTE. NO ONE. Not even a sherif or highway patrol. You would still have to have an emergency and have LIGHTS ENGAGED. Otherwise it’s illegal for even any officer to impede a state route without any emergency lights on.
