I saw him for the first time after living him since I was 13... Yup I was the guy that fanboyed him by walking up to the stage and shaking his hand....he looked at me like wtf? WORTH IT
He's going to be 65 this month and he is as HOT as ever...!!! Met him in person and he is the most sweetest guy i ever met! Have not had the pleasure to attend one of his concerts yet... But planning on changing that! Thanks for sharing the video...! I
Yeah, after I already had the vinyl and wore the grooves flat... I've been a sucker for great guitar hooks my entire life, so my music tastes, while they tend toward heavier rock and metal, are seriously eclectic. If guitar is the thing and the playing is good, chances are they're in my library. Michael Jackson, Billy Idol, even Pink join all the 70s and 80s greats like EVH, Joe Perry, Tom Scholz, Tony Iommi, Randy Rhodes, George Lynch, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, John Sykes, and on and on... Goes all the way back to Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry and all the way up to Foo Fighters. Alas, there hasn't been much lately that stands out for me (which I think is a big reason we're seeing so many covers of old hits...)
* WOW! I just found out that Sammy Hagar wrote this song?! blew my mind! This was a bonafide international hit, pretty much guaranteeing that Sammy didn't have to work another day in his life! WTF?! I did not know that! And why am I just finding out about this now? 🤔
I like Rick's studio version a lot, but this live version is not even that good...all rasp and speaking the lyrics, not singing much, and he isn't even really singing the chorus on the mic...and when the key jumps, he is totally talking through it
I am sure they both benefited from that song, it help Rick, fill concert seats , sell shirts and sell cds, there is a huge spin off when have a hit song...
Why the hostility? Everybody knows that Sammy wrote it.. No stealing tho. Licensed fair & square.. This version made Sammy a lot of money. He said so himself.. Keith Olson produced both..
Greg Akinson you are right ... but he got the rights and Sammy got a lot of checks as a result.., Sammy says as much! Sammy made a ton of money from it! Frankly I would rather have the money than the credit !
Just saw Rick in Spokane with The Hooters and Tommy Tutone. Rick blew the roof off the dump. Was surprised at how much I liked The Hooters.
Saw this (Working Class Dog) tour in 1986 as a gift for my wife. Band was beyond tight/good. Was a good time, great show.
Written by Sammy Hagar!!! Sung best by Rick Springfield!!!!
Rick Springfield is the best
What an Aussie icon. A treasure a legend.
Rick Springfield frozen in time and always looks like he's 25

He has an outstanding lead guitar player
Wow he looks awesome but even better now...die hard fan here👏👌😂🤣
Looks like a lot of fun.
he ages like fine wine. Really, really excellent, amazing, fine wine.
love the crunchy guitar sound!
Rick is a guitar playing mad man.
He's the best live
Too bloody gorgeous our Aussie boy rocks ❤
I got to high five him at a concert 15 years ago.
I will never stop loving you Rick
She still puts a great show
Saw him 4times! Love him!
This monster hit was written by Sammy Hagar and I must admit that Rick nailed this version. I have seen him live in his 70s and he is still badass.
Fucking love playing the intro on one guitar, throwing it the fuck away and then getting another one on for the chorus. Bad ass.
I love RUclips video titles with .mpg
Rock on!!
Legend
studio version entered Billboard Aug 22, 1981 ..reached #8

His grace was incredibly appealing, such a gorgeus creature!!!..❤❤❤❤😘😘😘😘
Yes I do. It was a show the broadcast with Scandal as the other band. About 7 songs from RS & 4 or 5 from Scandal..
Thanks, Great Post

Sammy’s version is better.
Paychecks keep rolling in for both
サイコー!
Sonzeira, paulada no cabeção.
Great tone.
❤
He's not playing it..He's selling it. Go Sammy!
Probably an airbrushed tattoo too.
He made Sammy a shit load of money with this song!
So hot...
are you able to upload the rest of ricks set? i have been wanting to see it for awhile!!
Prefer his cover over Sammy's
Me too, and Sammy's is good!
Sammy wrote the song and Sammy at least plays the guitar on it. I’m pretty sure Rick is not actually playing that guitar.
The best part of Rick's version is the guitar riffs. Even better than Sammy's version in that respect.
I wanna be his guitar
do yu have the whole show?
Awesome performance! What year was this?
2006 Orlando.
Russel javors on guitar?
That's George Bernhardt.
what did you do for me,,
Nicks Sammy Hagars tune and murders it.
i love sammy but this version in my opinion is better than sammys.

I wanna know who the blonde is at the :40 mark. If you see this. hit me up...
mocarob how did that work out?
Still waiting.. She's with Jessie..
Mime..
Did he really have to break the guitar? Seriously?
He wouldn't have if he would have caught it and it hadn't hit the floor
Sammy Hagar wrote this song
Rick got more mileage out of it..
'Tis true. However, I believe Sammy got the last laugh on that one.
Yep he got b paid ed big time lol
I am sure they both benefited from that song, it help Rick, fill concert seats , sell shirts and sell cds, there is a huge spin off when have a hit song...
Rick sings it alot better.
Sammy Hagar kills him on this. Oh wait... it's Sammy's song
Sammy's version sucks.
@@mocarob No it doesn't, this is OK, but Sammy's version slays this, always has, always will.
Springfield STOLE this song from Sammy Hagar! You do not believe me? Look into it and see that I am right!
Why the hostility? Everybody knows that Sammy wrote it.. No stealing tho. Licensed fair & square.. This version made Sammy a lot of money. He said so himself.. Keith Olson produced both..
Who the fuck cares!!!!
Greg Akinson you are right ... but he got the rights and Sammy got a lot of checks as a result.., Sammy says as much! Sammy made a ton of money from it! Frankly I would rather have the money than the credit !
He didn't steal it ya moron. He would've been sued. It's called a cover ya dope.
not much of a singer. no voice to speak of
