    It's been 2 years since I lost my Rosie. She was my first rescue animal and taught me so much, motivation and inspiration just haven't been present over that time.
    BUT, there is a "healing journey" and one must take it when everything seems to go wrong or you're lost for good. It's also hard to hear you are strong, when you feel anything but.
    You are a wonderful teacher and always have been. You, Brandy, Shelley (Shizzle) and Tracy (Tracy's Fancy) were my first teachers. Each and every one of you I respect for your hard work and YES being human. All talented ladies with great spirit and drive.
    I'm so glad you are pulling away from the "crash" and getting the vibe again, you talent is a part of you and it will work to shine through more and more.

    Just stumbled upon your channel. So sorry for your loss. Thank you for being so candid. I am much older than you but can totally relate. I was listening to Mel Robbins this AM and she said something that resonated. When we want to be happy, life gives us something hard. When we want to be peaceful, life gives us chaos. It's to teach us how to overcome and move forward. Don't give up on your dreams. They are the most important thing. That was the jist. She also said,
    "Let your light shine so brightly, that you illuminate a pathway for others to find their way out of the darkness!” - Dr. Stacey A. Maxwell
    Give yourself grace when down. And think of yourself as a light! Sending you good juju for 2024 and beyond!

    Crys'Dawna, I'm happy that you're back, too. My husband retired 13 months ago with no real plan for what to do with his time, and it has been disconcerting (to say the least) for both of us, and rather soul-crushing for me. I'm just exhausted at having to make up things for him to do in a day, and my own creativity? Pffttt. Just not there. And disheartened that I have 100 ideas but not excited about any of them. So I do get it. ❤

    • @BellaRenovare
      @BellaRenovare 10 месяцев назад +2

      I 1 million times understand this. It's like the pressure of his happiness is put all on you. It's a lot to take on and still maintain YOUR creativity and happiness. That is also something I didn't address is the transition for him, they have. sense of purpose and direction and then retirement sounds great until reality sets in and it's like what do I do now? It has gotten better but I think that's another thing we don't talk about is how after retirement many people their sense of "worth" or "purpose" and it falls on the loved ones to try to pick that person up and it can be very hard. You've got this.

    • @datachickatl4092
      @datachickatl4092 10 месяцев назад +2

      For both of you ladies, please try to remember that the ONLY thing in life that you can control is yourself. It’s truly not on you to map out your respective husbands’ next chapter - they MUST take that burden on themselves. It is a burden, unknown and scary, but you can’t walk that walk for them. You obviously love them, and truly want them to be happy, fulfilled, and feel supported, but it’s on them to figure out what’s next. The ‘after retirement’ issue is SO incredibly overlooked and millions of folks are unexpectedly thrown into actual depression when their life’s ‘meaning’ is over. People are meant to work, to feel fulfilled with purpose, to contribute, etc. Once your work life is over, it’s crazy to think total laziness and never-ending golf is the path forward (it most often brings misery after a time). I have a book called “Don’t retire, REWIRE” - which is something all ‘working’ people should think about as they approach retirement… But, you must protect and take good care of yourselves too - their retirement is not actually your problem to solve! Be thinking about your OWN next chapter before you find yourselves in the same spot. This is said with all due love, respect and understanding - as women this is often a hard balance. Remember to put on your own mask first! Good (best) luck!!😘 (I found a good therapist and even took an anti-depressant for a time until I leveled out my boundaries)… life is SO hard sometimes. I’m glad you shared Cry’s Dawna!

I can only imagine that retirement from military life, leaving behind the structure and support system, moving halfway around the world, even IF it's actually moving back home, making the new house a home for your family, and so sorry for the loss of your beloved pupper ... that's a lot of really HUGE life changes in a short time. So glad to see you back Crys. You've been missed. Life is a rollercoaster, with good times and rough ones. You'll be fine. Blessings to you and your family. We are here for you.

    Yes! My circumstances are different but the resulting burnout is similar. Lost my mom, 2 cats, had a crippling health issue, turned 69, retired… all the safe guards dropped and dangerous cliff-sides abound! I agree taking a life break can help with creative burnout and blocks. If I had the means, I would take a couple of months off in some sort of pampered resort, where other people cooked, served me food and lovely drinks, and offered me easy, fun activities, like swimming in the warm Mediterranean. I feel better just thinking about it! Thanks for your honesty and please know that we here deeply appreciate you.

    Hell yeah good for you for putting yourself first..Life is so hard. I lost my bf 2.5 years ago. And finally I decided to adopt again to invest all my love into my newest baby. She’s 2.5 yrs old and has the same smile as my Bono did. This Aussie girl is the sweetest and timid soul. I have missed you. I’m only a message away … just to vent to an outsider. lol.

    As an airforce spouse coming back from overseas, I totally get it. There is a huge support system and to leave a base and go straight to a state without that community you're used to having around you, can be very lonely. We all go through it to some extent. Glad you are coming back, your videos have been missed by many. Do you feel like a military retiree yet 😁?

    So wonderful to see you. It’s horrible that you have had to go through this turmoil. I’ve experienced some of the same and it’s not easy to come to terms with or talk about. I’m so happy that you are on the mend and things are improving. It’s a cliché, but take each day as it comes, and hopefully take comfort that your followers are rooting for you. I look at my bedroom with its colour and painted furniture and thank you for all the inspiration you provided for me to achieve it. Take care. X

    You take all the time you need, to find yourself back. My last 2 years have been horrible, so I can relate to what you are feeling, just put yourself and your family first😊. I am a die hard fan😅😊 so I will keep on following you, for no matter how long it takes for you to be back ❤ ( or maybe not, if you will desite that you need to start a new chapter in life) do what ever it takes to make yourself be happy again, life is too short to feel miserable. Live your life and feel great and happy❤

    I will follow you no matter what. I began watching your channel because I was in exactly the same place you were. Lost my husband and best friend after a brutal 17 month fight with cancer. Retired to be with my husband. So I was separated from my work family and severe loss of socialization. It seemed like only people we saw were health care professionals. He passed suddenly in my arms at only 66 and my best friend of over 40 years was gone. My life was not going to be what I had expected. Then here came Covid. I was paralyzed. I’ve been an artist all my life and I could NOT have a creative thought much less make something. You helped me so much. I began to paint a few things I had lying around. Then I began looking for more treasures to transform. I truly love the search and have scored some amazing finds. And some real duds. I learned a lot from you and some other RUclips furniture artists. I enjoyed transforming them into works of art. I have gradually moved more towards my old pursuits of painting and jewelry making. It has been a process.
    You helped me so much in my healing journey. I wish I could do something to help you. I have a lot (I mean a garage FULL) of furniture that still needs a new life. If you would like some of it please let me know. Just know it will get better. I will follow your channel if you paint furniture or bake cookies.

    Glad you are back. I'm sorry you had a rough year. This year has been hard for us too. We lost our dog Jack. He was very special to us and we were heartbroken. I also had to help my friend who was battling cancer and sadly she lost that battle December 1. I have always been creative and I haven't been able to do any of that. I told my husband I felt like I was walking in a fog and just going through the motions of life. Good things have happened because we were given the opportunity to adopt a little dog that had been abandoned at our vets. Our support system are the people in our small community that came together to help when our friend went on hospice. We all took turns caring for her and her little dog in the end and supported each other. The dog has gone to a good home and for that I'm grateful. Sometimes life is hard but this year has really kicked us in the teeth but we will get through it.

      @@BellaRenovare His name is Bobby. He gets along great with our other little dog Ruby and he's a sweetheart. Ruby and Bobby are both 9 years old so it all worked out. My husband is in his 70's and I'm in my late 60's so we wanted an older dog because the thought of leaving pets behind if something should happen wasn't acceptable to us. These will probably be our last dogs because of our age. Bobby got a good home and Ruby has another companion (she was very sad about Jack).
