  • It's the gorgeous portfolio of gardens from stately acres to inner city spaces that makes the National Garden Scheme such a national treasure. The beautiful hillside garden at Riverhill Himalayan Gardens has been privately owned by the Rogers family since 1840. Join owner Sarah Rogers for a leisurely visit through the history and planting of the gardens with its extensive views across the Weald of Kent, spectacular rhododendrons, azaleas and fine specimen trees.

    What an absolute jewel they have created. I am in awe and would love to visit one day. This must be the best success story stemming from Country House Rescue ever. Glad they weathered Covid in 2020. Well done team. RIP Eveyln.

    Watched the video of them deciding to make changes in order to provide for its upkeep. It looks like they have gone to a huge expense to do these changes.I hope it has paid off.The place is amazing and seeing the little kids now teenagers is pretty special. Love Ed and Sarah.

    So enjoyed the music, it set a leisurely pace. The house and garden are so lucky to have been treasured by one family for so long. I do hope you found fresh cake for tea that afternoon. Cheers

    There are so many of these lovely clips of enormous gardens, immaculately kept. It amazes me that there is still that much manual labor available to hire in the UK.

    “In 2016 with the help of a generous grant from the Country Houses Foundation we were able to rebuild the 75 meter long lower wall AND restore the summer house.”
    My interpretation of this is that they didn’t want to spare their own luxuries to rebuild their own wall. They didn’t want to be bothered with difficult choices and therefor they were not.
    “We are still saving up for the upper wall”
    My interpretation of this is self pity for now having to make difficult choices that every other average citizen makes in choosing which self care to prioritize and which to let go.

    One comment - eat the rich

    • @elsagrace3893
      @elsagrace3893 4 года назад

      All of the rich don’t suck. The rich don’t suck by virtue of being rich. The ones that suck are the ones who exploit people and laws to make more money and who use their money to bribe and corrupt the law system to MAKE MORE MONEY. Too many of these in America.

      n m on second thought after completing the video I have this to say
