Kudos to Cuvave for providing Ryan with and assortment of their pedals, custom logo, and making some awesome pedals! It was good to see that they are paying attention. I wasn't planning on spending an hour watching a pedal video, but on the strength of the Cuvave Fuzz in a previous video, I'm glad I did. I thought all the pedals were good, but the Fuzz, Dig Delay, and Dig Reverb are phenomenal. I've got all 3 on my Amazon Wish List now. I like how Cuvave has not taken the safe road of simply emulating other pedals. The setting options on the Dig Delay, and Dig Reverb are musical, inspiring, and obviously a lot of fun. @Cuvave - You've probably got more orders than you can fill. Please make sure to maintain high quality control, and your fame will be assured. Whoever your sound designer is, they've got good ears and have come up with some fantastic sounding pedals. Yep. His affiliate link was sold out by the time I clicked on it, which I think was maybe only a couple hours after he posted this! 'sokay, I found another one!!
Thanks to this video I picked up the Dig Reverb (it wasn’t easy to find at a reasonable price but I got it for $35 shipped) and it really is amazing. The verbs are really nice, the ducking setting is fantastic. One trick you may not have tried is putting it in the loop, on the Hall setting, with all the controls at 0. It’s a boost! I play heavy, doomy music and it, as a boost, just helped me create an amazing brutal heavy tone. Thanks, dude!
Thanks for your honest Review/Demo of The Cuvave Pedals. Just getting into pedals and so Far have not been disappointed with any of The Cuvave Pedals. Awesome. Alot of Fun. Cheers
@60 cycle hum, if Cüvavé won't sell 60 cycle hum branded pedals, you should sell decals so we can decorate our plain old pedals. Decorate any pedal for that matter !
I have 6 Cuvave (branded M-Vave but it's the same company) mini pedals: Blues Overdrive (a lovely little pedal); Tremolo (not a fan); Phaser; Looper; Noisegate; Digital Reverb. Currently, the Digital Reverb has displaced the Behringer DR600 on my main board, the noisegate is on there, and the phaser alternates with the Behringer UO800. If I didn't have the Boss BD-2 on the main board, the blues overdrive would also be on there. My only issue with the Blues Overdrive is that it lacks volume compared to a standard size pedal like the BD-2 or the Behringer OD400. The sound is lovely, but it needs to be at full volume to match the larger ones at 12:00.
Dude, I know it’s an old video, but when you were checking out all the cüvavé pedals ; that was great! I loved the way you were geeking out on them, and looking really surprised and chuffed with every new sound. You’re one funny dude! But on a serious note, ever thought about doing the music to some sci-fi space opera? You had some quality ambient tones there when you hooked up Fuzz, Chorus, Delay & Reverb. That sounded awesome!
Finally got all my affordaboard shipments from the slow boat and get to live my cuvave dreams. I had been dreaming of the Cuvave Dig Reverb set to ducking > Donner Harmony Square set to +/- octave > Cuvave Fuzz. The idea being the ducking setting would help to not “overwhelm” the tracking of the octave pedal. Wellllll that didn’t work super well. But in practice here’s how I got the sound I was after (excluding the irrelevant pedals in the chain): • Harmony Square first in the whole chain just to have cleanest signal possible being fed in, • Koko Compressor that I had bought for other purposes but needed to be moved there in the chain (I had been getting a TON of feedback/buzz when the Harmony and Fuzz were on at the same time. Even having the comp set to unity settings when on solved this, so not sure what the issue was), • Cuvave Fuzz, •Cuvave Dig Reverb set to ducking. The reverb in the Ducking setting was able to get me the sound I needed, it tracks super well even when pumping heavily distorted signal into it! Also having it closer to the end of the signal chain gave me WAY more versatility. (I have a Yellow Fall and the Donner Twin Tap Delay ending the chain) Anyway, thanks so much for making these videos and keeping me from diving head first into the hobby and sinking $800 into “boutique” pedals to achieve the same sound. Hey! I bought pedals based on his reviews, I hope he's getting more than free pedals from all these companies. Pretty sure he's helped sell a butt load for companies I've never heard of...
I ordered the Cuvave on amazon and got it in like 4 days. Pleased af with it. I have a homemade mini pedal board myself before discovering this channel.
Ok, was able to resist until 25:48... Just ordered a Dig Reverb (and Klon Centaur clone from same vendor...) This channel has made me a pedal addict !!! So....thank you ! LOL
Hi Ryan the trick to making the second version fuzz sound like the old one is to send it 6 volts instead of 9 try it and you will get the super velcro sound!
If my dig reverb from amazon doesn’t show up and the price goes up from this I’mma be sooooo madddddd Just passed a month of waiting for my fuzz and I’m a few days from a month of waiting on the dig reverb (guaranteed May 28 on amazon 😡) Ordered the verb for the ducking setting alone and hearing the fuzz going thru it has me FULL WET.
Ughhhhh I’m just getting to the end and I’m so mad you’re getting to try the ducking into the fuzz before I do!!! When that finally gets here it’s going at the front of my signal chain for that ducking. Go full ham like I plan to: ducking dig reverb > harmony square octave + 2 > CUVAVE fuzz. If it sucks don’t tell me because I’ll die.
I'm gonna start a pedal company and just buy Cuvave Fuzz pedals in bulk and rehouse them. 🤣 Such a great pedal for the price. Sounds like a boutique pedal for sure.
funny you like that fuzz pedal so much i bought one and it seemed choked and strange compressed the channel a lot it seemd faulty like it didnt sound right...
Your playing has improved so much just in the last few months! Just wanted to complement you on that. I hope you're prepared for the comments of "stop showing off and just let me hear the gear!" 😂 You just can't win!
Wow this might be the first time I’ve ever wanted to buy a cheap multi verb right away. Especially without a spring setting! Have you come across the Joyo Atmosphere yet? Apparently it has a decent amp style spring but I can’t find a single RUclips vid where someone plays anything remotely appropriate for spring reverb.
Aggghhhh!! Had a $10 off eBay coupon and I passed on ordering that digital reverb yesterday because my amp has a real spring tank in it that is awesome. Could’ve gotten it for $23 w free speedpak shipping!🤦🏻 Oh well... did score a new Hotone Octave pedal for $20 instead with it! 😉
If you like the digital reverb here you should really check out the Ammoon Pockverb. Very similar sounds plus a built in delay with tap tempo. Could take 2 spots on the affordaboard!!
The ones that i liked the most are the fuzz (great 60's-70's sounding one!) and the delay (one of the setting sounded to me like the Stacy Sutherland's [from the 13th Floor Elevators] Echoplex)
I found most of these on wish , took a bit of digging for the dig reverb . Can't wait to try them out on a monosynth . you ever think about maybe doing an affordaboard video in conjunction with someone like Red means recording or Sanjay C ?? youhave a lot of knowledge info to give to the synth-heads out there . also , stereo fuzz/delay for the win/win
Anyone else feel like the MT1 sounded much better with the tone above noon? It was there for half a second and it sounded like maybe it wasn't a scooped mess but the rest of it just sounded like it was covered by a blanket. Metal pedals rarely sound good IMO but i think that tone pot could really help it.
These sound great. I tried to contact the company about what the USB port did but after many tries it seems to be for resetting its program. I have no idea what it really does and I don’t think the person I spoke to does either. The reverb is fantastic. I am thinking of buying another it’s so good and easy to use. I would put it up against high end reverbs like the ehx oceans 11 and I think on some setting cuvave wins.
So what they told me about the usb is that it’s there to program the digital pedals. And it’s just left in on the others. It’s a vestigial limb. Some people have reported being able to power the pedal off it though.
I received my Fuzz today and holy shit I love it. It really gives me that "Scott Pilgrim vs the World" vibe but on the cheap. The OG pedal they used there sells for $80 and I can't find one in Germany.
Thanks!...Just ordered the Cuvave Dig Reverb yesterday and already use the velcro ripping Cuvave Fuzz (thanks to your review). PS: Just for your info in regards to the Kmise pedal line, there is another brand Saphue that is the exact same pedals as the Kmise and cost less on Aliexpress ($16)...I use the Ultimate Drive and Classic Chorus from Saphue.
Totally buying the reverb and been putting off the fuzz but yeah everything in the line up is pretty decent not bad when the normal delay is the weakest link in the chain you could do much worse for alot more money
The 2nd time you rotated the stack of pedals, with the boxes offset. Reminded me of the PA SYSTEM The Grateful Dead used 😎! Please send me the graphic so I can stick it on my cuvave fuzz that I already own😁!
OK dammit. You happy now? I just now while watching this video ordered a Walnut Starcaster from SW. I had sworn that my next geet purchase was going to be a player-grade instrument. This is your fault.
Just ordered my cancelled my mosky spring reverb and ordered a dig reverb. (i'll probably get the spring reverb too at some point or two dig reverbs, I just want to find some aliexpress coupons.).
Thanks for the video again. Boy they sound great. But I wonder about the consistency of those pedals. I bought a couple of those and they don't sound exactly like yours. Like those two Cuvave fuzz you put in stereo, is it me but they don't sound the same? Are you miking an amp or you are plugged directly into your sound card? And those pedals are they made by the same company under different names? Cuvave - Kmise, etc?
Did you ever try playing all 3 Cuvave fuzz at once? Or even 2? I've used 2 Shinei clones and a DOD classic fuzz for fat slabs of fuzz. I figure this one would either sound awesome stacked or just break things.
@@betornotpodcast8334 they come in at abt £30, British pub themed names and branding and great sound. I think they're the only budget pedals that look really great, be sure to check them out.
@@betornotpodcast8334 They're good, I own most of them; but from the sound of it these Cuvave pedals seem to edge them out. If you want a very, very versatile and fantastic distortion pedal that can do ANYTHING not modern high-gain, check out the Whiskey Chaser. It could legitimately cost thrice as much and still be a steal. It's not my personal cup of tea, but it has made it onto many records i've produced in the past couple years. It's seriously fucking fantastic and does not get the praise it deserves. If you're on a super tight budget, the Spinning Room is pretty amazing for all kinds of passable modulation sounds on your records. Because of the sheer range of options; no one's ever going to be able to tell that you're using a budget pedal since you can pick the exact right type of modulation needed for what you're recording. A friend of mine is a real univibe head and he said both Vibe settings sounded great.
Do you rate the Cuvave Dig Reverb over the Caline Snakebite? I had that on my wishlist from your review, but this is very good and the price in £ is very similar!

i recently bought the cuvave cube baby, thomson guitar and zoom g1xfour for start i hope cuvave zoom and thomson can also see the videos i will make
Yes that was fun!!
Totally buying the reverb and been putting off the fuzz but yeah everything in the line up is pretty decent not bad when the normal delay is the weakest link in the chain you could do much worse for alot more money
I just ordered the reverb.
That walnut finish is on my wish list too, it looks stunning
I watch, well, because "this is either really cool or really stupid." What else could I possibly ask for in a youtube video? Seriously, what else?
I just bought 3 cüvave - Classic Delay - Chorus and aloop
That distortion rips arse!
I would buy two if o could get a branded one lol I think it’s pretty cool, cooVAH-Vaaaayyy.
It’s like a far away distant and magical land.
So, that dig reverb pedal is a multi-verb AND multi-mod effects pedal in one. For probably peanuts. That’s wild...
Holy s with the ducking reverb and stereo fuzz ... sounds like Bowie's Low lol
Custom Cűvavé's yes! 👌
Just ordered the reverb for my mini afford a board!
Just ordered my cancelled my mosky spring reverb and ordered a dig reverb. (i'll probably get the spring reverb too at some point or two dig reverbs, I just want to find some aliexpress coupons.).
That's exactly what I use...Mosky Spring and waiting on my Cuvave dig reverb...Since, Cuvave has no spring and Mosky is just spring...I'm set.
Can you do drip settings Oceans 11 vs Tre Verb?
I want to say yes on the Oceans... There are seriously 22 different effects in that monster.
Amazing reverb
That Cuvave reverb is now quite difficult to find here in the UK. Shame....
I just ordered the Fuzz. It's crazy how cheap these are.
what is the name of the guitar of the back that is like a chubby Strat with two pick ups and wood painting looks awesome
Did you ever try playing all 3 Cuvave fuzz at once? Or even 2? I've used 2 Shinei clones and a DOD classic fuzz for fat slabs of fuzz. I figure this one would either sound awesome stacked or just break things.
It sounds like he almost plays Ween's -Tear for Eddie?
Ordered the fuzz. That digital reverb is next.
You should try out landlord FX, great budget range which would be perfect for this series
I heard about this one the other day, I need to check that out
I have the overdrive from them (called amber nectar or something) i recommend its real good
@@betornotpodcast8334 they come in at abt £30, British pub themed names and branding and great sound.
There's not much point in that. Landlord FX pedals are all rebranded Donner pedals and he's already done a bunch of Donner pedals.
This dude is too nice and laid back to have that much quality gear in the background. TGP does not approve.
I want them and I want them now! All of them..!
Do you rate the Cuvave Dig Reverb over the Caline Snakebite? I had that on my wishlist from your review, but this is very good and the price in £ is very similar!
I got the Cuvave fuzz and I love the USB power. Does any other pedal brands do USB power?
How about a fuzz shoot out between the plasma fuzz and the cuvave????
I bought the fuzz and after a few months a pure boost showed up instead. Maybe ill try again because that thing sounds so velcro rip tastic.
These videos are awesome. What 3 pedals would you recommend for a post rock sound?
YES!! A giveaway!! I am a starving artist cptsd mental health booger, so my guitar is my zen arm. Thank you for an effective video. I cannot afford to keep getting Boss, (although I have 2.) I also dig the Donner series. Thank you for your work. My channel has my ptsd vid explaining things and I hope to add more showing my "journey" in Gothic rock. Thank you for your data here. I used to have to buy pedals 20 years ago and take chances on advertisement alone in shiny magazines. LOVE to hear what sounds like what. Thanks man!!
Mogwai wants their secret sauce back.
Have you tested any of the Amazon Saphue $17.99 pedals? I just wonder how they compare to the Cuvave pedals.
