I'm 35 and wish that I was conceived at a different time in this life. What we have today I don't get quite the butterflies or smile. when they say that the World War II generation was the best generation to live, they weren't kidding. It wasn't just about the men and women that served during the war, it was about the entertainment that came before during and after the fact. The first concert that I ever went to is alabama, and The Oak Ridge Boys with my mother and father in 1993 or 4 I believe. I would have been three or four at that time. Always hated the music. I guess I was 26 or 27 when a switch flipped within me and I can't get enough of it. Every morning that I get up I put Hank Williams radio on pandora. Usually by the afternoon I switch to Creedence radio on Pandora I listen to everything in between even some new stuff. I guess what I'm trying to say is the time effort patience and talent that went into producing any sort of entertainment before 1980 was actually thought through thoroughly. Don't get me wrong there were some fun times in the 90s, but nothing absolutely nothing beat the 30s to 70s. I don't care if I come back as a fly on any of y'all's wall, I just hope it's in the year 1945 LOL
Gee Dean Martin had a wonderful sense of humour plus we all know that he could.sing and what a wonderful voice and oh boy I love this when John wayne hums Dean Martin looks like he's.about to crack up.laughing what a fantastic.show. thanks you tube for keeping our memories THANKS AGAIN FLY HIGH YOU TUBE ARE WONDERFUL.LETTING US ABLE TO ALWAYS LIVE OUR DREAMS
Since childhood John Wayne was my favorite...my entire family too. Looking back over 50 yrs, I am proud of my good taste...we was a true American and a peach of a guy. Miss you, Duke.
John Wayne was so funny and had great time precision and wit. You brought so much film entertainment into my life big man and Mr Wayne you're my favourite actor. Rest in peace sir and thank you.
That's what we would call comedy absolutely fantastic stuff.id always have tears running down my face from laughing so much just wonderful Innocent fun at least we had the opportunity to be around when comedy was fabulous gee were lucky
John Wayne was the greatest. He still is all over the world. So interesting even these days if you ever go any where they want to cast an aroma of romance they can’t find any better song than Dean Martin’s.
Loved these guys I was in love with John Wayne well I loved him as an actor and when I was younger I had always wanted to meet him I cried when John Wayne died and when Dean Martin died
Dear lord! Oh thank you for the memories! Great time when these two where with us! Funny that John Wayne would say' he'd a been 58 now! Because that's how old I am now! Miss both of their films and memories!
I can watch these videos with those and legendary actors to the end of my life. They just make my day. I miss them and the entire world misses them. Today they are all trash.
Dean was so cool..nobody will ever take his place....& now he & jerry are finally back together again....May God watch over them...R.I.P. gentleman....You were Loved!!!!!
Mr. Wayne, & Mr.Martin may you both continue to R.I.P., I loved them both in. Rio Bravo, great movie, Dino was fantastic in that movie, his singing, once again Great as usual, I sure do miss them both, two fine, & uplifting gentlemen, GOD bless & continue performing up in Heaven. 🌷Cathy🌷 NYC
Half of it. The left and media the fifty years has neutered young men , and drugged them up on riddle and pot. On purpose to weaken the West and Especially America. So we would decay from within and be no challenge to Russia. Now also China. Purfect example was worm Obama. His telling Mitt in debate after Mitt said Russia was still a threat. Smart ads Obama ( knowing the truth but saying the following opposite) "Mitt the 90's want their foreign policy back."
Yep, a topic worth researching. I recall as a kid hearing of Martin’s reputation as a “boozer;” however, research indicates this was part of his character and he was in fact, only a casual drinker.
There's something about these two (and some other entertainers of that time) that is so warm and inviting. You just want to hang out with them and have a laugh. Dean Martin is truly one of the greatest entertainers of all time; he could sing exceptionally well, he was good at dramatic and comedic acting, and he could tell jokes.
The great thing about both of them is that they could laugh at themselves. Too many "stars" these days take themselves SO VERY seriously. And most of them don't have the talent that either of these two had on their worst days.
Dean Martin sings so well and 'casual' ..that one hardly notices ..in this setting, how well he could sing. That said ..he also was one of the brightest and quickest minds around..with a so called drunk slur..as an act. A multi-talented personality...trult one of the greats in showbizz history.
Absolutely! Fine singer, underrated actor, as cool as Bob Mitchum and as funny as Bob Hope. One of a kind, we shall not see his like again. The Duke was as Ford said a great Everyman. Handsome and talented but truly had the common touch, which can’t be faked.
im sure glad i grew up watching all of those old legends rather than what comes from hollywood currently. losing them to time has been like losing old uncles.
What the hell happened to hollywood!!! These guys were genuine and always appreciated their fans. And they were real men and always polite with the ladies.
That’s why I don’t waste my money on these horrible movies. Especially if they get on their political soapboxes that’s enough for me to stop watching them!
La légende John Wayne Et le talentueux Dean Martin Ça c'était des vraies Stars respectables et honorables ♥️♥️♥️ Love you ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟God bless you 💚 💜 ♥️ 💙 🌟🌟🌟🌟
I think people have to remember the times here. There were no 'live' shows, no unscripted comments - the studios (who owned the stars) wouldn't have allowed it. All you see is scripted well in advance and rehearsed. Dean Martin was used to it but I imagine it wasn't very natural for John Wayne. Hence his squirming I think, although he could just have piles!!! Either way, John Wayne was my hero since I was a child and to see him 'natural' was brilliant for me, and still is!
If only there was more footage of the golden era folks in Hollywood hanging out at parties, poolside or wherever just being themselves and having a bit of fun.
When you think about it, these men were kings. Different times, I'm too young to have lived them, but I enjoy old stuff better than new stuff. Something about it brings me, not back, but to an unknown world. Dean, over anyone, seems to be the most interesting person and entertainer. I say interesting person because we almost know NOTHING about who he really was. Even his kids said that he didn't like to have full conversations with anyone, not even them. Private man. They said he was a good person though. I would have loved to have gotten the chance to know him, but like the Dean character in "Martin & Lewis" movie said "Nobody gets to know me, not even my wife".
They were really Great STARS back then so self effacing unlike the modern "Look at me Oh please look at me" rubbish of the talentless modern Celebs. Thanks Duke and Dean for 60 years of great entertainment RIP fellers.
My wife and I notice that most of the masculine male acting roles now go to Aussies and Brits. Then they learn an American accent. When I grew up, John Wayne in his movies was an example of a real man.
Noticed that years ago and many articles have been written about it. It's a real problem in Hollywood. Much of it has to do with the lack of training for American actors but it doesn't seem to affect actresses as much, only youngish men--roughly under 40. Maybe it has to do with the state of the American male, they can't even pretend to be men.
Strange if i watch these clips of Dean Martin it makes me emotional, i,m 67 and these guys still live on.
Me too. I love both of them..
Ditto!
Yup me to❣️

How fantastic is to see John Wayne again. I have loved him all my life. And Dean was such a nice fellow too. Rip
Since childhood John Wayne was my favorite...my entire family too. Looking back over 50 yrs, I am proud of my good taste...we was a true American and a peach of a guy. Miss you, Duke.
John Wayne was racist down to his bones.
Dean martin & John Wayne Rip 💖💖💖 These Guys are what you call Legends
I think Dean Martin has one of the most beautiful voices of all time!! Miss him so much!
Erika Christen elvis the best dean was very good but not elvis

even today that voice is in a class off its own ! 2 legends together !
John Wayne was so funny and had great time precision and wit. You brought so much film entertainment into my life big man and Mr Wayne you're my favourite actor. Rest in peace sir and thank you.
There was more talent just wrapped up between these two gentlemen than in all of Hollywood today.
Isn't that the truth.
Aman to that
Yea just Deano alone
Exactly my thought
That's a lot to say since there are a few good ones today but what we have here is personality.
Dean had a voice like butter.
I prefer his voice to Frank's, truth be told.
They were great gentlemen. May God rest theirs souls in heaven.
Who remembers those comedy roasts. Good clean comedy. My Pops would just laugh like like hell. Miss it.
That's what we would call comedy absolutely fantastic stuff.id always have tears running down my face from laughing so much just wonderful Innocent fun at least we had the opportunity to be around when comedy was fabulous gee were lucky
That’s what you call singing just flows like velvet, no face contortions as if in pain, no straining just relaxed and natural.
Exactly. It's enjoyable. to watch
I miss him, his humor and most of all his voice. He was one of a kind.
Just love watching these guys....true giants of the screen no one can ever replace them.
Great guys! It was a wonderful time when those two got together.
John Wayne was the greatest. He still is all over the world. So interesting even these days if you ever go any where they want to cast an aroma of romance they can’t find any better song than Dean Martin’s.
"Legends" don't begin to describe these dudes!!😎😎
Loved these guys I was in love with John Wayne well I loved him as an actor and when I was younger I had always wanted to meet him I cried when John Wayne died and when Dean Martin died
John Wayne, America's #1 racist.
I love that his show was basically one long gag reel. Dean telling the cue card guy he's got to go faster lol
I don't think I've even seen John Wayne this happy.
He was having so much fun.
What legends, none better, the likes we won’t see again,
Either young either old he was always a fine man! Unforgettable Mr Martin!
1:50 A house *on the rocks* and *a little water on the side.* Dean was adorably hilarious. ❤
So fabulous to see these again. Beautiful people, a different era. So many wonderful movies and songs. 🕊🧡💋🤗
Talk about good looking man! And a voice from heaven!
My Dad's two favorite stars!❤
Two of Hollywood’s Greatest.
Two of the all time greats in their own way...what stars..
Dear lord! Oh thank you for the memories! Great time when these two where with us! Funny that John Wayne would say' he'd a been 58 now! Because that's how old I am now!
Miss both of their films and memories!
Rio Bravo and The Sons of Katie Elder are two of my favorite John Wayne movies.
I can watch these videos with those and legendary actors to the end of my life. They just make my day. I miss them and the entire world misses them.
Today they are all trash.
Love these guys they were so good at there craft moss them a lot.
Two of the all time greats. They dont make them like that anymore.
First time I have seen the full version of Dean and John together, just wonderful. Thank you for another fantastic clip :)
Try not to think about it, Thats how beautiful those days were
DINO was one of the most natural and comfortable personalities ever on TV...and he did have a great crooner's voice. No stars like him anymore.
R.I.P.
Love them both - I often play a CD of Dean Martin 🥰❤️🕊🌏🕊❤️
Dean was so cool..nobody will ever take his place....& now he & jerry are finally back together again....May God watch over them...R.I.P. gentleman....You were Loved!!!!!
+gunsmoke
Dean was "The Man!" Frank was great, but ole Dino.........
Well said.
@ James Milardo: You got that 100% right pal. Ol Dino was possibly the coolest cat in the known universe.
powder puff They seemed to get along very well for 10 years when they were at the highest as partners
Classic !!! when they say they don't make em like they used too, they broke the mold with these two gentlemen.
Love both of these guys.
🌷Cathy🌷 NYC
These are a couple of legends and true strong men!!! They don't make people likes this anymore!!! And that's a damn shame I blame society on that!!!
Half of it. The left and media the fifty years has neutered young men , and drugged them up on riddle and pot. On purpose to weaken the West and Especially America. Deans drinking was a act where as dukes boozing was legendary especially with his drinking partner John ford
michael davis not John Ford, although he drank, it was Ward Bond, as close as brothers.
Yep, a topic worth researching. I recall as a kid hearing of Martin’s reputation as a “boozer;” however, research indicates this was part of his character and he was in fact, only a casual drinker.
As a little girl I was convinced I was going to grow up and marry John Wayne. I sat on my daddy’s lap watching John Wayne movies.
I miss my dad.
James Henderson is a pig

Dean Martin..the best vocal ever!!!
JW fantastic. DM awesome. Both brilliant entertainers.
This guys are forever unforgetable
Rudolf - are you a fucking kraut? There's no way English is even your third language.
Loved watching this viewing John wayne explained how he got started in show business.
The great thing about both of them is that they could laugh at themselves. Too many "stars" these days take themselves SO VERY seriously. And most of them don't have the talent that either of these two had on their worst days.
Eat your heat out, today's generation, this is real talent.
Loved these two together or apart. The best we ever had.

I've watched "Rio Bravo" double digit times. Never get tired of it.

Same! Couldn't have said it better, Sir.
Best regards luck and health.

Pure gold!

A multi-talented personality...trult one of the greats in showbizz history.
philip sarkol I've noticed that too ...his singing is impeccable in that studio . From talking to singing into those boom Mics I'm guessing
Yeah and he never reheast
Absolutely! Fine singer, underrated actor, as cool as Bob Mitchum and as funny as Bob Hope. One of a kind, we shall not see his like again. The Duke was as Ford said a great Everyman. Handsome and talented but truly had the common touch, which can’t be faked.
That was great! Two class acts...
They are both great Duke and Dean.... very cool....👌
Love it being clean and funny, love them both!
Lovely clip!
Two great personalities!
Thanks for the video!
Dean Martin had such generosity of spirit. It shines to this day.
slated sue - - Though I am inclined to agree with you, part of that could be due to Deano's *spirits*. L.o.L.!
slated sue I
That is so true..... generosity of spirit.
@@LEO1WOLF Dean Martin's excessive drinking was an act!!
@@crowsandshinythings2796 That's right, no one could have lived such a fast paced life with all Dean's business commitments and been a drunk.
great fun! and their different styles complimented each other in the westerns they did together--
Luv these two
Two great men right here!!!
Two great actors!!
A house on the rocks, with a little water on the side....
Pure Gold.....
This was a class 🤗

Those were such great days… great entertainment, great heroes to look up to. I wish we could go back in time.

I just love this xx

I have 'the feeling' that these fellows were 'the real thing'. They really were 'superstars' You don't see them anymore.
Real men. Great talent and personality. Never forget martin and Lewis growing up
