  • Welcome, In this video tutorial you will learn how to perform Normalized Difference Moisture Index (NDMI) in QGIS. The normalized difference moisture Index (NDMI) is used to determine vegetation water content and monitor droughts. The value range of the NDMI is -1 to 1.
    1. Negative values of NDMI (values approaching -1) correspond to Barren
    Soil.
    2. Values around zero (-0.2 to 0.4), generally correspond to Water Stress.
    3. High, positive values represent high canopy without water stress
    (approximately 0.4 to 1).

Thank you very much for sharing this very good learning technique. In this lecture, you used band8, band11 with 20m resolution of Sentinel-2. I want to extract NDMI using Sentinel-2's band8 and band11 with 10m resolution. How can I downgrade the resolution of band11 to 10m? I want to know the pan-sharpening technique, not just resampling.
