It viewed Godzilla as a villain when in reality it was Mechagodzilla. But MG came at the end so Godzilla was technically the Villain. GXK had two major Godzilla scenes. In my opinion, the problem isn't how much Kong focused projects we're getting, but rather how we are getting it. Because first we had Godzilla 2014, which focused on Godzilla then we had Kong: Skull Island, which focused on Kong after that came KOTM which, again, focused on Godzilla then GvK focused on Kong, so up until GxK we had movies alternatively focusing on Godzilla and Kong, but with Gxk we got two Kong focused projects in a row. So I feel that if we had movies that alternately focused Godzilla and Kong then we wouldn't be having much of a problem.

My thing is that I love the goofiness of GxK but I want a more serious tone for this next one, problem is how is a pink Godzilla and a Kong who rides shimo supposed to become serious.
It's all in the execution. If the director and righters in question know what their doing they can pull it off. Just like how in the early days of the MCU some of the marvel movies would be fun and goofy but then you get a slightly serious one like Civil War and Endgame.

I wouldn’t want Destroyah to be the next villain given how much weight Destroyah has. I'd prefer the winged Godzilla to just be the Monsterverse version of Space Godzilla since that villain is still big but doesn’t carry the weight of a Destroyah or Kaizer Ghidorah.

I believe that Legendary is putting their attention to world building adding monsters, etc and leaving the serious G-solo movies to the Shin/Minus One universe to not make the franchises too similar in tone. Sort of like the differences between Logan and Deadpool Wolverine. I think they are banking on the Kong and Godzilla being the modern day buddy cop thing for general audiences to see US/Japan as very different franchises happening at the same time to rake in more fans.

I would love to see Destoroyah. I actually thought that’s who we’d see in this 2nd one. But I think seeing him would be cool. They already have the setup for it. They used the oxygen destroyer in the 2nd movie (honestly the 2nd movie was the perfect setup for destoroyah) so using his origin would fit perfectly! I would like to see it be a bit more dark though. Destoryah always came off as a creepy dark character to me with his whole thing being wanting to eliminate all life and what not.
I was thinking first they should do Godzilla vs Space Godzilla and then do Godzilla and Kong vs Destroyah, that way both villain monsters get screen time and Godzilla gets another solo movie which should (hopefully) keep everyone happy and they really should save Destroyah for the big finale anyway.
I mainly just want to see Dan Stevens get his break. I think seeing that man with the character he played in the last film would be prefect to be Jet Jaguar. I also believe that adding one of the Heisei Godzilla Monsters be the villain is a step in the right direction. This movie really just needs a compelling story, and that is very possible. Bringing them back up, the Heisei films got this down to a tee. I just hope this movie is good.

A long time ago a little after Godzilla 2014 the idea was on the table at legendary but i think after the second Pacific Rim movie failed the idea was scrapped sadly. But there was indeed a point in time when they thought about it during the very early days after Godzilla 2014 leading up to Kong Skull Island.
I would like to see in the next Godzilla X kong movie is more of how the monster got onto earth, like how did Godzilla and the other titans get onto earth you know?. And how the other world from under earth got there.
I genuinely cant stand hearing rhe complaints aout how cartoony one movie is and how serious another is. The has to be a balance. Just like with sonic. Its a really cartoonish movie woth serious moments. And it works like a charm. Granted, i know they are vastly different in story, character, and theme, but you could have a serious threatening villan come from a very cartoon like origin. Or to solve the "it doesn't feel like its real" or "the monsters dont seem to have weight" you can make an action seen that makes you feel the weight while they do something goofy. Have godzilla come out of the water, like in hawaii, and flood the streets, then he goes into a full on sprint at whatever he's engaging. Is, i feel like this whole debate is kinda dumb. Especially when a major portion of godzilla movies has an important, often serious theme, presented by wacky monster fights.
I want Godzilla X Kong to be about Space Godzilla possibly ending Earth, so Godzilla and Kong will need to team-up one last time to possibly save Earth and the universe. I think Kaitlyn Denver will be like what Millie Bobby Brown was, trauma filled from one of the accidents during either 2014 or one of the movies after that, like King of The Monsters
I don’t mind the goofiness of skull island. That movie was the perfect mix of serious and having fun with the monsters. It made us remember that these are living and huge creatures but also when it needed crazy action it didn’t hold back. Not to mention that movie had the best characters in the monsterverse I feel
I have only seen Kaitlyn Dever in Last Man Standing and she is a pretty good actress. I have not seen her other works, but from what I she was good in those too. I am interested in knowing what role she plays. Also, you can make Biollante and Destroyah serious. They were the two most serious “vs” films of the Heisei era.
She shown real dramatic acting skills in Unbelievable tv miniseries and get pretty popular with Booksmart comedy, i have zero worries about her acting skills - she is great, only question is if they can write real good story for her character.
1 I hope this movie would be more Godzilla focus as he is the star , 2 I really hope that Millie Bobby brown will return to play as Madison Russell for the main human protagonist because in Godzilla vs Kong she was the leader of team Godzilla and speaks for him ,3 I hope this movie will introduce more of Godzillas species like a whole tribe or clan of Godzillas like kongs tribe in gxk, 4 i really hope that the third part would remain focus on the titan war like the main villain had a significant part of the titan war that effected both Godzillas clan and the great apes
With Shimu and Suko now being ally’s and Mothra’s return, I think that having Rodan return and other allies like Anguirus and possibly Gorosaurus, Jet Jaguar, or King Caesar got added and revamped to join up to help fight a crew of Destroyah, Biollante, Spacegodzilla, Gigan, and possibly King Ghidorah returning.
I fear legendary doesn't know what thier doing or they think they know because I know there is a behavior change a bad change after gvk compare how good level headed they were during K.O.T.M.

My hopes are that it follows the tone of James Gunn’s Guardian of the Galaxy trilogy when it comes to tone. First film was silly yet mostly stayed grounded when needed, Second film increases the silliness and decreases the darkness, and then we get a hard change when it comes to the Third film, doubling down on much darker and more serious subject matter and putting comedy as an afterthought and only using it when needed. I pray GXK3 can follow the same tone as GOTG3
Just to make another comment, hopefully this will focus more on Godzilla and not Kong, Kong’s arc is done, there’s definitely much to be told on Godzilla’s perspective. This is supposed to be a universe that’s shared with Godzilla, not a Kongverse, but a Monsterverse.
I love these characters but I really want some different monsters movies. Give me solo films for Gamera, the gargantuans, rodan, mothra, and King Ceasar. Give me movies about the awesome original monsters we’ve barely seen or have never seen from mythology you’ve teased like Quetzalcoatl, bunyip, methuselah, leviathan, behemoth, Mokele-Mbembe

Honestly Sonic is way better at balancing it, atleast Sonic,Shadow,Knuckles and Tails are kinda relatable and act like Humans too. So even if theres more Humans, our favorite characters still making it entertaining
@arzqh this might be where we differ. The godzilla films have more action, at least that serves to distract me from the human element. And we've visited Hollow Earth with takes us away from earth. This last sonic was so lacking in terms of humor, action, and seeing as we're still on earth, which for a sonic film, we should have gotten away from by part 2, it still finds away to make the human characters a part of the story. The whole sneaking in part, where they dressed as guards, was so badly written. I'd take godzillas scientist and researchers figuring out a way to protect their earth, over weird family sitcom dynamic from sonic. But again, it's merely my preference.

Humans will give Kong his full Iron Man Suit, more focus on Godzilla. Maybe more space monsters, Kong maybe has the ultimate sacrifice in the end.
I was thinking first they should do Godzilla vs Space Godzilla and then do Godzilla and Kong vs Destroyah, that way both villain monsters get screen time and Godzilla gets another solo movie which should (hopefully) keep everyone happy and they really should save Destroyah for the big finale anyway.
I mainly just want to see Dan Stevens get his break. I think seeing that man with the character he played in the last film would be prefect to be Jet Jaguar. I also believe that adding one of the Heisei Godzilla Monsters be the villain is a step in the right direction. This movie really just needs a compelling story, and that is very possible. Bringing them back up, the Heisei films got this down to a tee. I just hope this movie is good.

A long time ago a little after Godzilla 2014 the idea was on the table at legendary but i think after the second Pacific Rim movie failed the idea was scrapped sadly. But there was indeed a point in time when they thought about it during the very early days after Godzilla 2014 leading up to Kong Skull Island.

I genuinely cant stand hearing rhe complaints aout how cartoony one movie is and how serious another is. The has to be a balance. Just like with sonic. Its a really cartoonish movie woth serious moments. And it works like a charm. Granted, i know they are vastly different in story, character, and theme, but you could have a serious threatening villan come from a very cartoon like origin. Or to solve the "it doesn't feel like its real" or "the monsters dont seem to have weight" you can make an action seen that makes you feel the weight while they do something goofy. Have godzilla come out of the water, like in hawaii, and flood the streets, then he goes into a full on sprint at whatever he's engaging. Is, i feel like this whole debate is kinda dumb. Especially when a major portion of godzilla movies has an important, often serious theme, presented by wacky monster fights.
I want Godzilla X Kong to be about Space Godzilla possibly ending Earth, so Godzilla and Kong will need to team-up one last time to possibly save Earth and the universe. I think Kaitlyn Denver will be like what Millie Bobby Brown was, trauma filled from one of the accidents during either 2014 or one of the movies after that, like King of The Monsters

I don’t mind the goofiness of skull island. That movie was the perfect mix of serious and having fun with the monsters. It made us remember that these are living and huge creatures but also when it needed crazy action it didn’t hold back. Not to mention that movie had the best characters in the monsterverse I feel

I have only seen Kaitlyn Dever in Last Man Standing and she is a pretty good actress. I have not seen her other works, but from what I she was good in those too. I am interested in knowing what role she plays.
Also, you can make Biollante and Destroyah serious. They were the two most serious “vs” films of the Heisei era.
She shown real dramatic acting skills in Unbelievable tv miniseries and get pretty popular with Booksmart comedy, i have zero worries about her acting skills - she is great, only question is if they can write real good story for her character.
1 I hope this movie would be more Godzilla focus as he is the star , 2 I really hope that Millie Bobby brown will return to play as Madison Russell for the main human protagonist because in Godzilla vs Kong she was the leader of team Godzilla and speaks for him ,3 I hope this movie will introduce more of Godzillas species like a whole tribe or clan of Godzillas like kongs tribe in gxk, 4 i really hope that the third part would remain focus on the titan war like the main villain had a significant part of the titan war that effected both Godzillas clan and the great apes
With Shimu and Suko now being ally’s and Mothra’s return, I think that having Rodan return and other allies like Anguirus and possibly Gorosaurus, Jet Jaguar, or King Caesar got added and revamped to join up to help fight a crew of Destroyah, Biollante, Spacegodzilla, Gigan, and possibly King Ghidorah returning.
I fear legendary doesn't know what thier doing or they think they know because I know there is a behavior change a bad change after gvk compare how good level headed they were during K.O.T.M.

I would like a more serious tone for this film but if it’s a cartoony tone like the last film I wouldn’t mind that.
My hopes are that it follows the tone of James Gunn’s Guardian of the Galaxy trilogy when it comes to tone. First film was silly yet mostly stayed grounded when needed, Second film increases the silliness and decreases the darkness, and then we get a hard change when it comes to the Third film, doubling down on much darker and more serious subject matter and putting comedy as an afterthought and only using it when needed. I pray GXK3 can follow the same tone as GOTG3

Just to make another comment, hopefully this will focus more on Godzilla and not Kong, Kong’s arc is done, there’s definitely much to be told on Godzilla’s perspective.

Sonic is just as guilty as the monsterverse when it comes to attempting to balance human characters.
Honestly Sonic is way better at balancing it, atleast Sonic,Shadow,Knuckles and Tails are kinda relatable and act like Humans too. So even if theres more Humans, our favorite characters still making it entertaining
@arzqh this might be where we differ. The godzilla films have more action, at least that serves to distract me from the human element. And we've visited Hollow Earth with takes us away from earth. This last sonic was so lacking in terms of humor, action, and seeing as we're still on earth, which for a sonic film, we should have gotten away from by part 2, it still finds away to make the human characters a part of the story. The whole sneaking in part, where they dressed as guards, was so badly written. I'd take godzillas scientist and researchers figuring out a way to protect their earth, over weird family sitcom dynamic from sonic. But again, it's merely my preference.
