- The Moby X1 has been in my collection for a couple of years now... but I just realized I never made the promised ride video about it!
Here it is!

I have to thank you Seppo for lighting up my day. This video makes me happy, on a sad day. My country was able to make great stuff like this funky moped. France moved a long way away from since, and not in the good direction. Warm regards, dear Seppo
its not just france tho :D
Yea its not great.... one of the reasons why my eyes are pointed at the past....
Understeer at 25km/hr! Mopedtastic 😀 It brings back memories of a tiny Honda Moped, which for 1 year back in the 1970’s was my entire transport! Thank you 😀
That is a cool little moped.Perfect for what it's meant for.
Man, being able to hop out on a moped, and experience countryside like that!!! That's what's going to become impossible to find...
I was watching an old episode of one of Rick Stein's cooking shows where he's travelling through France on their canals, and at one point he hopped on a Velo Solex extolling the virtues of having such a bike while boating along, being useful for getting to the town markets when moored up... :D
Love it, I have a Raleigh Runabout from 1968 which uses the same Motobecane engine and transmission. On a good day it will do 30MPH /48KPH on the flat!
I had a 1968 Raleigh Runabout as my first moped! Yes, 30mph/48kmh is about as much as it would give. Mine was always blowing light bulbs due to bad earths. I used to ride it from my house to Nottingham every weekend during my pilot training (80 miles round trip), but better than walking (mostly). Enjoy your classic ped.
That's pretty cool.
Folding mopeds! Who knew! Want one now😊
Its amazing
Sounds really smooth.
Yea a but muffled and very calming!
if you keep improving like this, you channel will easily grow to 100k subs this year
Yes thank you! :P
Such a cool little thing, I love it!
Yeah, I enjoyed this one.! I like the pov and the selfie stick.
haha! its fun!
Looks strikingly like the Honda Motocompacto trunk moped for their subcompact cars. By the way, they just re-released to motocompacto as an electric scooter. Doesn't quite have the same soul as a 2 cycle but I bet it's just as fun
What an awesome machine - simple but practical!
From an era of simplicity ❤
and ambition!
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you very much.
Thanks
Always loved these. I’m interested in all folding mopeds. Centaur, valmobile being on my bucket list to buy 😊
Uhh don't know that one! :D Will check it out!
Is the Brockhouse Corgi on your list?

@@zane1os I have other villiers powered stuff, so not that bothered. In fact, my 39 Norman was robbed of parts before I bought it for a Wells bike project, paratrooping folding bike, daddy of the Brockhouse Corgi.
What a fun little bike Seppo and perfect for the man about town 😁, literally just ABOUT TOWN LOL 😂, are you sure it could handle 2 loaves of bread 🍞 and 1 litre milk 🥛, butter , cereals and sugar Ofc plus weight of rider 😂, ideal “ Nip to the shops “ bike 👌🏻
Heaven s above I've only gone and bought one on e bay !
:D
its weird, mopeds in our country also have 49cc engines, and most of them did 50-60kmh or more on some :D
yes but all moped are restricted in Denmark... max 30kmt
I believe that the french had a 25 km/h limit for small 50 cc mopeds.
30kmt in denmark :)
@@SeasideGarage Ja, men en Velo Solex kunne jo ikke køre stærkere... ;o) Så måske denne også har det sådan.
im sure some one else has said it, but id expect atleast 40kmh out of that particular motor, it sounded like it never really got on song. have you de-coked the exhaust? (sorry im not trying to teach your gran how to suck eggs) you clearly have a clue. keep up the cool videos
Its restricted to follow danish rules... so max 30kmt :)
@@SeasideGarage hmmm that'd do it. I wonder what the restriction is, exhaust used to be the go to.
@@hmmmnz pretty sure its a combination and restricted intake :)
Second class riding still beats 1st class walking.
What jet size do you have?
Not sure... stock ones... its restricted to max 30kmt by danish rules
@@SeasideGarageok, it is usually stamped on the jet. Probably 215 or close to that.
Lol ……..😂 good times
My Ebike would give that a run for its money 😅.
It would.... but not in style!
Er du dansk
Jep
A rather over optimistic speedo and in Australia we don't have mopeds but motor asissted pudh bikes which have to actually look like a push bike but they need to electric they banned the ones with petrol motors no because environmental laws because people modified to were they achieving quite high speeds much faster than an unassisted push bike extremely dangerous and in some states they had to be registered and the rider had to have a motorcycle licence
It's kmt... :)
