I am really excited to see "olfactory art" become an accepted art form - and for perfume artists to be recognized. Chandler Burr is absolutely brilliant and the man for the job. I love that he connects scents to historical art movements. And also that he pretends not to remember specific names or dates when he so obviously knows the material like the back of his fabulous hand.
i know im randomly asking but does any of you know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost the account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can offer me.
Excellent lecture, and rightly so perfumery is seen as an artform. Burr is a genious to make a connection with other art forms in the same era. Inspirational. By the way: some of the comments here are very annoying and disrespectful. Can someone delete these comments?

That is censorship, do you really want that?
What's the name of the mid twentieth century he talks about?
Edward Roudnitska is the perfumer, diorama is the scent.
I think you mean L'Interdit
