This is the exact video i needed thank you do much. I was doubting between both of these and after seeing this video i will definitely go for the Allpa. Very professional too. Subbed
@@bryanvaldovinos exactly why I picked it. Do you think the harness of the Allpa will suffice though? It seems a bit weaker but is the difference really noticable when you carry it?
@@bobgeels262 depends on what you prioritize, comfort or storage. Considering the Allpa 42L is marketed as a travel backpack I will use it as such. Hence, I don't see myself carrying it on my back for more than 3-4 hours at a time. The Farpoints harness system is more similar to that of traditional backpacking backpacks.
I was leaning toward the Farpoint but your side shot of the two swayed me away from it. It was obvious that you can’t, easily, stand the Farpoint upright due to the weird angle on the bottom of the bag. Not good for moving around airports. Great comparison!
i am interested in the cotopaxi bag but my osprey has held up so well i can't see needing to replace it for a long while! with the 3 pack of cotopaxi packing cubes, i have found organization to not be an issue in the osprey!
Looks like the fair point is a bit better for tour type travel where you wont be hiking with the pack. The alpha for those adventures where you may be doing a lot more hiking Both bags look very workable! Just depends on your travel itinerary. I’d be happy to have access to both packs!
Oh that's very interesting. Can you please tell me what made you come to that conclusion? The new Osprey Farpoint 40 has some design changes which makes it adjustable. Very interesting.
Do you know how the Allpa sits on smaller women? I am 5`2 and worried it might be too big of a distanz between the shoulders and hip. I have 34cm from shoulder to waist if that helps 🙈
I went for the 28. Sometimes I wonder if I should’ve gotten the 35 but that would make me want to fill it more lol. I’ve used the 28 for a 2 week vacation with a capsule wardrobe.
Great video, but your use of left and right "medial" side is super confusing. I dont think this is a common term used on bags/luggage and if you are referring to anatomical terms for the human body, that would be "lateral" . Your video is otherwise top notch 👍👍
thank god you finally put the camera down. video got 10x better after that
1:26 - Backpack shoulder straps, handles, and hip belts.
4:05 - Backpack concealment methods
8:05 - Backpack compartments, pockets, and organization
14:40 - Security features of backpacks.

You're welcome! I also chose Allpa. The Farpoint had potential but very poor placement for the tech pocket and little to no interior organization.

@@bryanvaldovinos then i think i found what i was looking for. I look forward to future video's! :)

Be using the far point for years, im travelling the world and its holding up extremely well. Still looks new on year 4 now.

Wow 4L difference in listed capacity but huge difference in actual physical size.
How did you know exactly which two bags I was deciding upon? The Devil works hard. The RUclips algorithm works hard harder.
Greta video! How is the Allpha material compared to Osprey’s? Read some reviews that the Allpha material/stitiching can come undone over time

Quite to the contrary. The Allpa is a dog to hike with, the harness on the farpoint is lightyears ahead.
Can the either backapcks be somowhow slided onto a telesopic handle of a suitcase??
Thanks!.

What’s your color on the alpha?
Great review, what's your verdict?
super late response but Allpa 42!
