The OG resident evil was my introduction back in the 90s, I must have been 8 years old playing at a friend's house. A few years later, we got a GameCube, and I saw that RE was out. I had no idea they had remade the game and as soon as I booted it up, it blew my mind.
I'm with cody. My first introduction was re4. Favorite game by far. Biohazard is a strong second. Haven't played village or any remakes yet on account of having a toddler and 0 free time. Thank you to all 3 of you for the content. Does more than you know!
Still havent finished 6 to this day and dont regret anything😂 The 2 remake is my favourite followed by the original 4 and the new remake. I have 5 quite high too due to the exact same reason of playing it in 1 sitting with a friend, but it definitely loses points playing solo. Great video guys! Wouldnt mind seeing maybe another few of these in the future with different franchises😁

Having just completed RE4 REmake and replaying a few if the older ones again for the first time in years, my ranking (favorite to least favorite) would go: 1) RE2 REmake 2) Resident Evil 3) Resident Evil 2 4) Resident Evil REmake 5) Resident Evil Village 6) RE4 REmake 7) Resident Evil 4 8) Resident Evil 3 9) Resident Evil 7: Biohazard 10) RE3 REmake 11)Resident Evil 0 12) Resident Evil Code:Veronica 13) Resident Evil 5 15) Resident Evil 6 On the subject of remakes and which one should be done next, I'm going to voice an unpopular opinion (I may be on an island here) but my vote would be for a remake of RE Survivor in the RE Engine and in the first person perspective similar to RE7 and RE8. I don't think another remake of the original is necessary (the 2002 remake still holds up quite well), RE5 also doesn't seem old enough to warrant a remake. Code:Veronica would be a good call, but if I am being honest, I just think the story of Survivor is more interesting. I know this is highly unlikely as Survivor is almost always at the bottom of everyone's list and is almost forgotten about these days. But I think that if Capcom remade that game similar to the style of the last two numbered entries, people may finally come around to appreciating it. For my money, it's much more of a Resident Evil game than 5 or 6.
Back in 97 I bought a copy of the first Resident Evil, the only reason why I bought was because Capcom logo. I thought it's a full action 3D beat em up zombie game. I played with my friend, and he jump from chair when we first encountered a bald damn zombie. I shoot while I panicked, turn out I have limited amount of ammo.
First time I played was when 2 came out. I was like 12 and a couple of friends came over to play. We were absolutely terrified. At one point we didn't want to open doors anymore 😅
So far I’ve played RE 2&3 remake 7&8, gotta wait to get a XS to play the 4 remake,I really hope they make a RE1 remake because I would love to start at the beginning, and feel like at this point I wouldn’t like the OG much
@@tyleraviles4518 Correct. I was excited when the RE4 remake appeared to be incorporating the "Operation Javier" story from Darkside Chronicles, but they changed it entirely for some reason.

RE7 RE2 RE1 Remake 1 Remake 3 (yes I’m serious, it’s awesome. Feels like a Nolan film) RE8 Code Veronica Remake 2 RE3 Remake 4 RE4 RE5 RE6 RE0 I’m a fan of horror first and foremost. The scariest ones are gonna be my favorite. Not a fan of the action ones at all really. Remake 2 is a great game but I don’t care for the aesthetic, everything is washed out, the game has no personality. Gameplay is fine, but the game is lifeless. RE0 is just bad in every way.
Personally, Re1 Remake should be left alone. It is perfection. It is still awesome and beautiful on my ps5. Code Veronica should be next. HOWEVER, a remake of it is going to have a much slower pace than what fans will be expecting after playing the RE4 remake. A faster pace will ruin the tone of the game, so who knows. Also, I would like an open world RE. Outbreak Remake anyone????

No Cody the slugs from RE zero are not what came before the Virus in RE 1. It is a seperate thing that Marcus worked on.
