The DCEU forced me to start reading the comics. I was convinced there's NO way the source material is as bad as the movies. Turns out I was right. It's a shame they can't seem to translate what makes these characters great into a movie.
If you havent already. Go back and watch all of batman the animated series, all of super man the animated series, then Justice league and justice league unlimited ( you can take a detour into Batman Beyond, before Justice league if youre having a really good time after the first two). Then just try to retain that feeling as they ruin DC live action , like marvel did, before Blade, Xmen and Spiderman.
It’s a shame bc some of the source material is ABSURDLY good. New Frontier, Multiversity, Kirby’s 4th World, Morrison’s JLA, King’s Mr Miracle, all better than anything I’ve seen from marvel

I truly don't understand why people still separate josstice league from Snyder cut. Just say Justice League because both films are terrible for entirely different reasons, but still both bad it doesn't matter which one you're referring to unless you're getting into specifics.
Josstice for everything from the boob jokes to the mustache.
And Snyder for having years of hindsight, fan input telling you exactly what was shit, and LITERALLY OVER 4 HOURS and the best Snyder can manage is a passable film? What other director gets this much leeway and gets praised for still underdelivering.

That's an achievement in a franchise that contains justice League and a 6 hour version of justice League

From what I hear it's not so far from the first Shazam which was OK.

Because the executives didn't care. They just wanted to get their bonuses before the studio was bought and they lost their jobs. So they pushed it out before it could be rendered properly.
Poor Henry Cavill looked like he had been Sucking on Lemons All Day.
Faces are hard enough when they are completely CG.
When you try and mix CG and live action elements with the intention of making it look real you have no chance of getting it right.
They would have done better to completely recreate his head/face in CG for Josstice League than what they did.

@@mnomadvfx The whole situation was just dumb. It's really just another example of "Hollywood's" incompetence, when it comes to the film industry. Henry wasn't allowed to shave his mustache for his OTHER character's role in another movie, Mission Impossible. However, instead of the two studios working together to solve this issue, we ended up getting the most horrid visual effect in movie history - and I do mean that. Am I wrong, or wouldn't it have been easier to fake a mustache for Mission Impossible? You can literally buy fake mustaches on Amazon for 3 bucks and they look pretty legit. Imagine what a makeup artist could do. You can't fake NOT having a mustache, though! It's just stupid. When I saw that scene in the first few minutes, I just lost all respect for the movie. It was just foreshadowing to how the rest of the movie would turn out to be.

Yeah I heard a few quotes from screenings last week. "did they not realise how bad it was WHILE they were filming the movie" was a quote that stuck out with me. Another being "they've CLEARLY already recast Momoa as Lobo, so they just didn't put any creative effort in this movie".
The reviews are from a version of the movie that had been test screened and brought back to the editing room FOUR TIMES; with major themes and characters being either completely changed or cut out!

I'm sorry but this movie was insane. I don't understand the hate. It was better than the first one. Alot of action, character redemptions and some good comedic scenes. Visuals was stunning and CGI was amazingly done. People need to stop moaning 🙄

No matter what dc movie comes out, bvs will always be the worst to me. I’ve never been so disappointed coming out of a movie. It completely broke the universe for me to where I stopped watching the dceu.
The last half dozen marvel movies have apparently been "the worst marvel movie" but all have been a dozen times better than like Hulk so. I think these days we're in an anti comic book revolutionary!

For a collection of films that have little redeeming value, that's not hard to achieve. Even your clips show just how ridiculous these guys appeared.
I really don't care what anyone else says. Ant-Man 3 was supposedly one of the worst MCU movies ever, and I ended up enjoying it. Plus everyone praises Black Panther 2, No Way Home, Infinity War, and Endgame and I think they are all trash. And then a bunch of people say The Batman is one of the worst movies of all time including being one of the worst Batman movies, but that was my favorite movie of 2022. Plus I can't decide if I like The Dark Knight or The Batman more. So I'll judge Aquaman 2 myself and not let others say what I should think of the movie. Also, everyone was split on the first Aquaman (I liked it). so I'm expecting some to say the sequel is terrible.
Movie taste is subjective at the end of the day, so there's nothing wrong with that.
For me, Aquaman 1 is currently the worst DC movie ever. It has plenty of competition though

You think that because you haven't seen Shazam 2. It was torturous. I only stayed hoping it would get better. It only got worse, almost as if they were running out of time to complete the project. Save jokes were repeated throughout the movie. You see the potential of some actors only to be thwarted by horrific writing and worse

Haven’t seen suicide squad, but I’d have to say Wonder Woman 2 was the worst. At least BvS had a few cool moments, Wonder Woman 84 was just all around awful.
