I think the first thing Sark will do is hammer home to Arch how to slide all the time, how to protect himself. Hopefully, Sark won’t be too shy about letting Arch make choices about using his legs. Once he’s convinced Arch is going to do everything right regarding sliding, running out of bounds, protecting himself well. Arch LOVES those slow developing vertical bombs. How is he going to have enough time to throw those? WITH HIS LEGS. This 2025 O-line brings back a single starter. I love that we have a deep enough room that we aren’t too worried about this, with Goosby and Baker and Umeozulu and Cole Hutson. But until it all gels for these guys together, Arch’s LEGS, that scrambling ability, will be the key to unleashing those bombs. I hope Sark is cool with this and designs a lot of plays for Arch to move around and shine in.
We rejoice in the fact that we now have a shotgun QB who is actually a dual threat and opponents will no longer be able to narrow their focus like with Ewers. Having an immobile QB in shotgun went against all fundamental rules of football, you know, like running a sweep from the pistol on the goal line! I hope, I pray that Sark learned lessons this past year.
Jonathan you OK man? You seem like you still taking that OSU lost hard or something..then you start talking crazy about the Cowboys in the Super Bowl? You feeling ok man? lmao As for Arch I don't expect a lot of designed runs but I can imagine what Sark could do with some serious trickery based on Arch's run ability. Imagine him rolling out with a screen developing down the field. Does the defense cover the screen and leave room for Arch to run or keep Arch from running and give him a passing opportunity? Maybe someone leaks out down the sideline for a pass? I bet Sark could come up with some serious magic so long as it's not 1st and goal in the most important game of his career.
Thank goodness you said bc I was thinking it. 😂 all it takes is one bad hit and arch is out 😢
