Hey I know this isn't the same video. But you were asking a while ago on another video for a redeeming quality on anavel in arena and I thought I'd bring this up since I just thought about it. For those who don't have Galleon or Luer having an aoe defense breaker is still a relatively important part to running a wombo team and both those monsters are 4*s so of course not everyone is necessarily going to get those like myself I've played since the beginning of the game and still have not been blessed with either of them. That being said of course if you do have either of those then they definitely outclass her since one of them also attack buffs and isn't prone to dealing with glancing and the other reduces attack bar. So I kinda think you overlooked the idea that some people might not have either of them. When you think about it honestly there isn't much disparity between anavel and any of the other counterparts aside from maybe prom having stun. So Anavel can prove quite useful to those end game players that still haven't gotten luer or galleon. It's a small audience of course given its a nat 5 vs. nat 4s but there is an audience myself included even though I'd say I'm more of a mid game player but I have been playing for a while and spending a while and I can see some guardian players being stuck in the same unlucky situation. So I do think Anavel can be much more of a staple game changing pull to those players that happen to not have a luer or galleon to compliment their ao. Just a thought but as always I will be staying soupy or soopy whichever way you prefer it spelled :)!

But I use her in my necro team Imo I think she outclasses belladeon in necro since bella's heal doesn't also do the attack bar raise on the boss(I've tried both anavel helps it go somewhat faster for me at least). And her aoe defense break can allow you to clear through the early waves much faster reliably. Some people might prefer bella's defense break being on first skill but the idea of 3 turn defense break does kinda make up for that in my experience and hey its 3 hits so that's not too bad for helping reset the shield.
Also I like Anavel on GW Defense a lot coming from someone that watches a lot of you end game players I've seen some Anavel's do some crazy shenanigans. That being said she's counterable but I think with the right runes and being on will set and considering how your defense around her is built it can be somewhat threatening... I watched YDCB a while ago get rekt by an anavel on gw a while ago as an example xD. And on arena defense I think anavel works really well in like an aoe bruiser comp with preferably beast monks. It's weird but I just see her being more reliable incase something fucks up turn one then for ex: a galleon or luer If you can manage a solid defense with like aoe damage threat on will runes I can see it tripping up people or making people pass it up on rush hour.
+rickyjpen EX: Orion, Anavel, Ritesh, Juno I can see being a somewhat decent AD... you got your speed via orion with a first skill turn gain incase he fucks up you got aoe defense break and cleanse via anavel and first skill turn gain incase she fucks up ritesh is usually on violent so there is more room for error, and juno is usually on violent or despair but is a nice stripper and I wouldn't necessarily call it lushenable with ritesh and somewhat juno, And if you can manage to get a few on will runes it can mess up a wombo. Just a thought. More room for error then luer or galleon who are usually on swift where if they fuck up you lose.
+rickyjpen first, take a deep breath. anavel is bad for a nat 5, but by no means a bad monster compared to the game as a whole. (i have an anavel). she's worse than galleon/luer/etc. as an armor breaker but its kind of obvious to use her if you don't have the rest. would you not use any healers at all until you pull a chasun? no
also, bella>anavel for necro because of the consistent armor break. anavel will rarely be able to armor break lich when his shield is down unless you're auto-ing and that armor break and the fight that he's light meaning he can greatly increase chances of you getting to boss in nb10 (dark) when u just start doing it, or let you get away with runing your units more offensively for faster runs later on.
AD with galleon are generally speed aoe comps which relies on armor break. any other comp would not effectively make use of an aoe def break and will be better off with a consistent def breaker like darion or bella (there are nat 5 with def break skill 1 as well)
lastly, ur last AD can be speed cleared easily since its slow AND not tanky, it puts off chloe lushens though. but opens itself up to many other AOs not to mention there are easier ways to counter lushens that doesn't require 3 nat 5s. but in that AD, u're better off replacing anavel with even a veremos, and tonnes of other nat 5s would be more effective

u should mention that u should use offset if the offset can provide you with more stat than set bonus, its kinda common sense but i realize alot of people don't know this. so guess its not that common?
eg. lets say u want rage blade, but you have a non blade rune. if that non blade rune has enough base or sub stat to make up for the 12% critr lost from the blade set then use it. and if you're using multiple offset runes, use same logic. eg, does the 4 offset you're replacing rage with make up for the 40% critd?

If you only miss 1 crit, you'll still like kill 2-3, and it's pretty much in the bag from there? I use posidon sand seige as my nukers so even if they miss a bit they're energy is gone anyway. Posidon is on violent too so he may silence as well. I like to use either eshir or bernard for speed and queb or megan as buffer depending on how much speed i need. With Triton in my back pocket too if I need to strip before I nuke. I haven't tried pushing too high up the arena just yet, completing my last few ruin sets so to be honest I don't know.. Just some theory crafting..
what do you usually look for in sub stats? do you want all dps or you want more survivalbility. i know idealy you want both but if you had to choose
u mainly wanna make sure the subs help whatever u are lacking in spd and cr first then anything else is a bonus

You should of explained what you rune for. arena, toa, dungeons ect. what runes to go for at what stage of the game. lots of new players like myself make the mistake of thinking you go rage as fast as you can. when it is a late to end game thing to rune rage. Fatal is the best thing for early game players, and they don't know it.
+GamerDude2088 he's basically talking about higher level arena. anything in fighter and low conquest this doesn't really apply to. you can get away with a lot of stuff in that range. in that range, you just want to have your best runes possible while syncing speeds for correct attack order. ignore 4sets unless you have some decent runes.

+Why not Dean acutally with fatal, its better to go crit because it will have a greater multiplicative effect. the more you stack AD, the less u get in return compared to crit. and vice versa. there is an optimal ratio of critd vs crit r vs atk but the general rule is can b found

that doesn't take account subs, but you can also use math (if you learnt it) and its a simple optimization problem. OR you can play around with inputting random theoretical numbers into the damage formula to find it experimentally.
if u have alot of critd subs, then fatal might actually be better than rage (they're on diff sets anyways, but just so u have an idea)

+Why not Dean i use cr 4 slot on my zaiross with not that great of crit damage and hp on slot 6 and he still does a crap load of damage. more so than he would with att slot 4. but yeah sure if they are so new that they dont have any c.r. slot 4 runes then att is better than flat stat runes of course
