Prabhu karein Kasmiriyo ki subah jald ho...Sir, this was lovely. The back and forth dialogue was so interesting. My heart goes out to the kaahmiris.... what a beautiful land of equally beautiful people. The basics remain the same for all....roti, kapda or makkan. I so hope that our politicians can think beyond their greed and actually give the people what they so deserve ❤

The deployment of one million soldiers in Indian-administered Kashmir raises serious concerns about the democratic process in such a militarized and conflict-ridden environment. The region has been in turmoil, especially since the revocation of Article 370 in 2019, which stripped Jammu and Kashmir of its semi-autonomous status. Under these circumstances, the ability of common Kashmiris to express their views freely is severely limited.
India's Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) grants the military wide-ranging powers, including the ability to arrest without warrant, shoot to kill if deemed necessary, and destroy property on suspicion of insurgent activity. This legal framework, combined with the heavy military presence, creates an atmosphere of fear and intimidation. It is difficult to see how Kashmiris can participate in elections without the risk of retaliation if their views align with aspirations for autonomy or independence.
Furthermore, the Indian media’s portrayal of the "mood of the people" often doesn't capture the ground realities of suppression, arbitrary arrests, and curfews that have dominated life in Kashmir. Civil liberties have been curtailed, with frequent internet shutdowns and restrictions on freedom of assembly. These measures further complicate any attempts at conducting free and fair elections in the region .
In such a controlled environment, the electoral process appears to be more of a formality than an exercise in democratic representation, raising international concerns about the legitimacy of these elections.

Now Kashmiri muslims doesnot want to be part of Pakistan becoz they are doing economically bad. If they get better, these people will start the Azadi movement again. Wo na India ke hai na Pakistan ke. They just want Rights but dont want any responsibility; or admit the wrong doings.
Now they want to forget everything without punishing the terrorists.

    Kashmir accedes to India
(It was a temporary affiliation that too on 3 subject (Defence, Communication and Currency . You people just read the headline. Read the second line. Then you will understand.
    Plebiscite soon on rulers decision
International law doesn't recognize India’s unilateral and illegal actions of 5 August 2019. The judicial endorsement by the Indian Supreme Court has no legal value. People of Jammu and Kashmir have an inalienable right to self-determination in accordance with the relevant UN SC resolutions.
Unfortunately nobody is talking about the Instrument of Accession. It is because of Article-370 that the disputed state of Jammu and Kashmir temporary acceded with India otherwise Jammu and Kashmir wasn't part of India. So if you want to remove Article-370 then Jammu and Kashmir can't remain the part of India. And another thing is that there is the UN Resolution for Kashmir dispute, in which two head of the states Jawahirlal Nehru/Maharaj Hari Singh and UNO has promised the people of J&K that you will be given the opportunity to decide your future by the means of memorandum, that were the terms and conditions on which Instrument of Accession was signed. So better for India would be to either restore the constitution of Jammu and Kashmir 1954 or let the the people of Jammu and Kashmir decide their future by means of vote, whether they want same as before Independent Jammu and Kashmir or they want to merge with India or Pak.
On 27-1-1948, India and Pakistan submitted draft proposals to the President of the Security Council on the appropriate methods of solving the Kashmir dispute. It was in this proposal that India agreed to the holding of a plebiscite in Kashmir as the ultimate determinant of Kashmir's status. The Indian representative observed on the floor of the Council
"In accepting the accession they (India) refused to take advantage of the immediate peril in which the State found itself and informed the ruler that the accession should finally be settled by plebiscite as soon as peace has been restored."
It is this statement which has been used to raise some doubts abut the finality of the accession till the holding of plebiscite (self-determination) in the State of Jammu & Kashmir.
The accession of Kashmir was an issue arising out of the partition of India and the negotiations preceding it. It does not appear to be within the competence of the Security Council to reopen this question either at the instance of India or of Pakistan. The question of 'aggression' alone falls within the competence of the Security Council. Though that is the strict standpoint from the legal angle, has the right of "self-determination" not been exercised by the people of the State? It is well known in International Law that "self-determination" can be achieved through different modes - the basic idea being to ascertain the wishes of the people.
