Ok so im a drummer (obviously) and i love and am extremely passionate about and good at switching beats. I mean on songs like this, my drum rhythm will change like 10 times. I'm talking about going to 6/8, then 5/4, then adding a swing, then doing a Mozambique swing, then adding some fills, then playing only on the rimshot and kick, to moving to paradiddles on the ride and crash to finally going back to 4/4 and calming down. This time i tried doing this song with NO FILLS, NO CHANGES, NO EXTRA NOTES, NO SWITCHES, no nothing but the 1, 2, 3, 4 of the song. If any of you guys are drummers like me and play the way I do, i suggest trying it. Total and complete control. Do a STEADY beat for the entire 5 minutes. Never switch it or anuything. Not one fill or time change and whatever beat you start with thats what you end with. Like a computer. That is my challenge to you guys. Never been so focused in my life lol. Have fun! Love all you musicians out there!
This channel makes me think of the message Rush was saying in The spirit of the radio. Sharing music and feeling the power of music all together. Awesome. So fun to work with. Very kind of you do be doing these. Thank you kindly sir.
I dont mean to be off topic but does anyone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Landon Ibrahim thanks for your reply. I found the site through google and I'm trying it out now. I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
This song is very versatile! I can lay down a simple groove or just push my chops and go all technical on it. I love jamming out to this. One person mentioned it sounded like radiohead, I agree, but I also feel there is a bit of Deftones in there as well.
Wow this one is so good, thank you so much. Reminds me of Explosions in the Sky... sort of. That was the inspiration I drew on when improvising to this track.
Oh Man, this is great. It helped me to understand when to trigger the fill and so on. Appreciate it!! Do you know if exist a software to do this with other songs.
I use this even for guitar.. so hard to get them atmospheric tracks for guitar without drums. Sometimes its useful so we can practice playing certain time speed nuances without actually using the que of the drums. It helps develop the sense of improvisation. For novices like me its really helpful to help build my chord voicing and also scale interpretation. It allows me to be contemporary and i find that whenever i come back to improvise with this my one fan goes insane but we're always like damn should've recorded that hahaha 😂
Something pointy to keep the timing consistent would be awesome. Like a shaker leading up to the changes. I felt like as much as I loved this one I missed the transitions.
Hallo can you help me download this song wen i click on the amazon link i can just downlod the album without this song . I have a credid card maybe some direkt link to your shop or youtube premium . Tanks
I love drumming to these tracks. I feel free and enjoy every moment free styling and totally enjoying being apart of the tracks❤ thankyou❤

Great advice man! I'm a bit impulsive drummer myself. Gonna practice that
Steady is the way to go. Used to be like that in the beginning, is part of the process.
How you gonna play 5/4 in a song thats in 4? How you gonna play swung in a straight feel song?
Oh man!! What a vibe!! Played it without pre-listening. Felt so natural!!
more like these would be amazing! its one of my favorite genres, kinda reminded me of the bends from radiohead!
Now that you mentioned it, it does have that feel to it.
Hey mate I love Radiohead and it does remind me too!
This is one of favourite genres too:)

Great to hear something ambient and unspoiled by drumming
I love the Steven Wilson feel to this song.
The chorus sounds like Explosions in the Sky did a collaboration with Steven Wilson

The chorus is Explosions in the Sky sounding.
I reckon take the drums out of Discoveries by Northlane and put them over this and it would sound great
Tnx 🥁😎🤘
is this on spotify?
Daaamn that's good
reminds me of campfire-headphase era BOC
Love it
Who else is getting Hanz Zimmer Man of steel vibes
I kind of get a bit of Soundgarden's song Bootcamp from this.
All kinds of ideas come to mind 👍 What program do you use to create the arrangement video?
Great, glad it inspires your creativity! I use Final Cut Pro
@@drumlessbackingtracks Well done. Very clean work!
bumped the playback speed up to 1.25. much better.
This is beautiful. I do have one question though. I know what the I and V chords are, but what do the others mean?
Thanks! The I and V actually stand for intro and verse
Oh😂
Why did i feel that i just came from playing worshiping music
