  • Following an era of civil unrest and disintegration, the Khmer Empire gets back on its feet during the reign of Suryavarman II. He launched numerous campaigns against his neighbours, and for a while even managed to vassalize the kingdom of Champa. His most lasting legacy would be the construction of the magnificent Angkor Wat. Dedicated to the god Vishnu, it is the largest temple in the capital, and in fact the largest religious structure in the world.

When King Jayavarman II...waged war with the Siamese thieves. ...Today it is called Thailand.....Siam is called...sea robbers....living only on boats....no country. Definitely belongs to Tua himself.....and at that time.....lost some of the land, including some of Angkor Wat...to the Siamese bandits...called Thailand today... .. Until today... when Thailand has taken Angkor Wat and joined the Khmer people... it is called Khmer Sisaket... and Khmer Surin as well.... and has Khmer culture and traditions as well. ...until now...and Khran Surin...and Khran Sisaket weaving in the ancient style...is different from the Eastern Khmer people and there are some as well.
