Amp choice is amps always interesting, everyone has their own takes on this, and it boils down to what you're after. As pure jazz amps go what you have is great, Henrikson being another popular choice. For me I'm more drawn to what my favourite players tend to use, and these tend to be Fender Princetons/Deluxe Reverbs (Bill Frisell, Adam Levy, and many others). In this respect I hear great things about the Tonemaster iterations, having the benefits of attenuation, direct out on XLR, light weight, great sound and take pedals well. Of course, as might be expected, John Scofield goes for AC30's and he like to play LOUD!
@@jamieholroydguitar built by Paul cochran, they guy who does the tim and timmy pedals. he ran the heritage amplifier division. only about 200 were built of the signature model. 1x12 45 watts and it stays clean all the way. it has the 3 knob fender reverb tank built in for reverb.
The first time I saw someone using a Polytone he was playing an accordion through it, which I found pretty funny. Until later when I discovered that Polytone was founded by an accordionist.
Would love to know more about the Musicman amp in the thumbnail? They're brilliant amps!
I had one when I took the thumbnail photo but a friend now has it. You can find out about it here ruclips.net/video/1J0aF5wsFTA/видео.html
Really great video and appreciate your candid thoughts about your gear. The answer is less looking at gear and more playing time!
Thanks and I agree!
I have a DV Mark Little Jazz
