That's a lovely touch both the hearse and poem for a direct cremation. Better than a van to the back door and straight into the furnace. This is the standard all direct cremations should be held to, no matter one's financial position at least some dignity is deserved.
We always used a hearse for a direct cremation and always proceeded through a chapel. We never just delivered a deceased via the back door like many other funeral homes. This video is very respectful and gladdens my heart that some funeral directors pay this respect.
So sorry that this happened to the deceased and one there family and friends wise how sad. God bless you for doing this is there a grave site we can send flowers for this person. Rest in peace
Jesus this is what I'm in for. Just take me in the back door. Why have somebody spout a lot of crap when they don't even know me. I am 67 and have signed up for this but you know at the end it doesn't matter.
No problem in Japan the Buddhist ritual is done at home and the deceased is taken to the crematorium press a button return remains to the deceaseds loved ones .The remains are treasured for 40 days and scattered . We both did this for our beloved cat last year
This is what love looks like. The family can heal knowing that their loved one is being cared for with as much love as the Savior provides. Your loved one is walking with the very One who loves you unconditionally. They are loved no matter what. Loves shows so much care and understanding.
So this is quite different to those where the deceased is placed into a cardboard box, secured with packing tape and this taken, with others, possibly some distance away to a crematorium where a bulk contract has been arranged and then, if necessary, stored as is now permitted by changes in the cremation regulations, until sufficient clients are at that location and it is efficient to warrant the prolonged use of a crematory.

Some crematoriums will charge extra if the FD stands at the lecturn saying a verse or two because it’s not classed as a straight forward direct.!
I think it is so very impersonal that family and friends aren't there to see you on your 'Final Journey'. I understand it's cheaper but I don't like it. I'm terrified of dying (I'm 57 with a lot of health issues) but would feel very insulted if this happened to me. Just my thoughts...
Absolutely awful. Can't abide it when they use a trolley to wheel you in. I have insisted that I am carried into Church and then to the graveside. And a proper Church service as a born again Christian.
But you don't show what you do after the cremation takes place! you don't show how you sweep the powdered bone from the kiln into the tray below or how you scan the powdered bones with a magnet to make sure all metal is removed or how the powdered bone goes through a grinder to make a finer powdered bone as well as making sure there are no possible identifiable bone fragments left all before putting them in the urn. Contrary to popular belief it is not ashes in the urn, everything gets vaporized in the kiln except the bones of the deceased which are ground into a fine powder and put in to the urn.
No. Probably because the funeral director is not responsible for that part of the service. There's still a respect shown even though the cremation part is very raw.
Maybe a family isn't able to pay for a funeral service and all the services of a burial or cremation and maybe the deceased doesn't either have any family left or they haven't spoken to their family in a while and fell out of touch with them so when they pass away the funeral undertakers become their family for a very short time before they are sent into the cremation retort or into the cemetery grave and never seen again.
@josephbennett3482 my best friend passed away a year ago and had one of these direct cremations. My friend had no life inauranse and her 2 sons couldn't afford a full funeral. It was awful. I just felt that I didn't get a proper chance to say goodbye. I found out where her cremation was and phoned them and ask if I could come up and lay some flowers. They were really great. Even had a wee space for her with her name on it
A funeral is for the living, The deceased spirit has gone to their belief, God, Allah or the spirit world, The best beliefs in my eyes are Islam and Judaism.
You don’t have to have it,many direct cremations pick the body up from Hospital, Hospice,Home, put you in their van direct to crem no service, ashes delivered in cardboard box to you door. The whole point of a Direct funeral is YOU say exactly what you want. There’s no embalming, flowers, service, or relatives, that’s what I’m going do. Not even my sons will be there, I told them I’ll haunt them if the change anything. 😏

The professionalism, care, compassion, is wonderfull to see. And even though there is no one there they still say meaningful words.
Love's truly care and this video shows the difference.
Fair play folks, that was a lovely video. A great service.

Watching from Ireland this video is very informative in my opinion it would be great to see this in Ireland.

Watching from the US. We have some funeral directors here who could stand to learn from you.

how very dignified and well treated
We do direct cremation we use our private ambulance not the hearse it lowers the cost but the service is still respectful
Watching from the United States of America in the state of Iowa the Hawkeye State named after Chief Black Hawk.

may i ask my friends have said about visting me at funeral home would this be possible an dwould it be best if im embalmed before there visit ??
If you're having a direct cremation you won't be allowed any visitors
I think you’d be better to email or phone the company on the info provided in the …….more part, they don’t appear to monitor the comments
It's OK to make a video but how do you know what goes on if you're not there 🤔 I am terrified of dying but I don't like this at all.
This is the way I want to go, no fuss, no exhorbitant expense, not just yet though...................

I have paid for my funeral through pure commission and I’m sure I will not get anywhere near this standard of service
Yes you will that's a fact

You are confusing the funeral process and the cremation process.
Why would a family opt for this? Nobody deserves such a lonely send off

There is a high number of old people like me who have no friends or family so this would be perfect, just slip away unnoticed and without fuss.

Indeed, it is for both. Respect for the life of the person who has been extinguished and a ritual for those who grieve.
I dont believe in religion we all come from the same place, no need for it in my eyes

No such a thing as the afterlife
You'll find out when u die that there is an afterlife. It will be too late.
