On topic of whether kids making experiances on Roblox is illegal I'd like to add as a developer myself, most kids do this as a fun hobby. Similarly to how some kids play and build in bloxburg, I for example build and test in Studio, it just so happens that my creations get noticed and people offer to pay me and that experiances earn Robux on the platform. Most children don't develop in the sense a teen might work at Chick-Fil-A to earn and save up for something, but rather the fun of doing so which just so HAPPENS to earn a bit too.

i sorta understand why they think why its "exploitation" becaue the kids are generating money for them but cmon, they are willfully FOR FUN doing this. This is like saying kids posting youtube videos is exploitation. I am boycotting roblox but was getting too fustratted trying to program in roblox studio, so was considering to give up boycott only to buy codeblox but after hearing this Roblox deserves my money specifically for making block code to make it 10x easier to get us into gamedev so no guilt giving my money for code blocks.
I got really mad when roblox sued a youtuber who was banning more creeps and innapropriate gamemodes than the entire roblox moderators themselves. That youtuber was contributing way more internet safety than the entirety of moderators.
But still I actually feel bad roblox gets sued for exposing children to programming. Im now happily giving money to help me game dev.

ok, but... if were to (hypothetically) offer children money to work in a coal mine, that would be pretty clearly child labour right? so roblox is offering these kids a currency to do work. in both cases, it's not forced tho. can still be child labour.
The first part of the lawsuit claiming to say children are doing child labor is crazy, but the second part saying roblox takes 70 percent I agree is kind of crazy and I truly think that needs to change but the first part is absurd.

Because the government is the one establishing the school at which you go to. Each teacher is being appointed by a principal or school directors, and they are all probably examined and interrogated, and their legitimacy is probably put under review every couple of months. Furthermore, everything that the teacher does is what they are instructed to do as an educator, and should that also lead to child exploitation, then it would full under the responsibility of the principal or assigning body.

The difference between a job and a hobby is that you're forced to work a job. And a hobby is simply a spare time activity. And if you can earn cash from that spare-time activity, then that's great. The point that Kreek makes about Roblox not forcing its audience to create anything makes Roblox unaccountable for potential child labor (Unless the moderators are children, which I can see as an option).
I am happy someone agrees. You are completely right about this. And also most people who create Roblox games are mostly adults and not children. Especially with the popular games on the platform. Also it is not an exploit for money, because they do not force any money out of anyone. They just simply made it an option, so they can earn money from it and that Roblox game creators also can earn money, which is a motivation for either creating a good game or updating it. The issue isn't that you wanna make a game, the issue is the company you're making the game for. Children don't know enough to understand that they're game is making Roblox profit through game passes they may sell, Roblox by not acknowledging this is profiting off child labor.

I don't think that it's labor, but the whole thing with robux and kids getting paid some and the adults getting payed some, it just seems like a weird system for children. But it's not worth shutting it down, I'd just say parents choose whether you're good with your kid getting into that or not.

I technically wouldn't call this "child exploitation" since the kids are not technically hired by Roblox to make said games or items, but rather doing it of their own free will, as many other "user creator" games go. I don't know exactly what the rule is, but if people buy items in the games they create or pay for their items, the creators, or the kids, get said money in return for their efforts as well. So... it's like volunteer work, that the kids get paid for.
Children aren’t forced to do this. It’s their decision to make games/clothing. Children can just play games while other decide they also wanna create. Kinda like in Fortnite creative where you can make ur own map, and get it published if it’s good. Kind of similar to creating a Roblox game in ways.

I am almost 15, and I have wanted to make games for a while (I still haven't since I have been busy studying and revising for upcoming exams/assessments. I don't think that this would be considered Child Labor as people do it because they want to, not because they have to. HOWEVER, I would not complain about getting some free Robux, and I don't think anyone here would either.

As a 13 year old, this does not really make sense. People are not forced to make items, but rather choose to make them. Think of it like volunteering, you just do it because you want, and you really don't get anything in return (unless the game gets big and you get dev-ex privileges.)
I agree with you because:
1. This lawyer has no actual good reason to sue Roblox for that thing about the "If children create clothing items or make games is child labor or not";
2. Kids do games/clothing items for the Robux because they don't only do this to convert them into money, even to buy items in the itemshop.
This can even be applied to RUclips but instead of games/clothing items, it's about videos & shorts.

Children can’t make money from Roblox, because DevEx requires you to be 13 or older, have some tax stuff done, and a bank account.
Thing is, if it wasn’t for Roblox taking these cuts, Roblox probably wouldn’t even be up today. Even with these servers going down every now and then, if it wasn’t for them constantly fixing the servers with that money, they wouldn’t go down for several days at a really fast rate.
Hearing "So Roblox is being sued" is all I needed to hear to get hyped for an awesome drama video.

Like they don’t force anyone to make the games, they’re not dependent on CHILDREN specifically making games (most games out there are made by adults anyways), and they sure aren’t expediting children to use them.

Additionally, I wanna complain on how I used to play a game which is called 2-played computer tycoon. Well the servers used to be free and I didn’t play it for around about 1 year, and I didn’t realise they were charging me 100-500 robux every single month and I lost 2000 robux because of it. Should I complain to roblox or just keep it to myself?
See, I like to think of it as this. If a child gets asked by his/her parent to do chores around the house and "help out with/without getting paid," does that count as child exploitation? To me, I do not think so.

I think In a way it technically is exploitation, the fact is since the kids are making the games and avatar items, it’s what inspires others to buy robux, which of course roblox does get some of that money which means in a non-direct way roblox is using kids to make a platform for them so they make money off the platform, while it’s not something to sue Roblox on they can reduce how much money they are “stealing” from kids
