What I love about this show is they don't desperately try to prove or disprove anything but merely tell the stories and we are occasionally lucky enough to see some photographic proof.
I don't see any proof of anything, in particular there's no evidence that the caves were ever used for anything except extremely private drunken orgies. And people hearing strange sounds in underground stone passages isn't too surprising. The 'photographic proof' is a joke, I could knock up something more convincing in photoshop in five minutes, particularly with a photo taken in a dark narrow passage to work with.
A good book you can get in the caves giftshop is called "hell fire clubs... sex ,satanism and secret societies" by Evelyn Lord (you would be able to get that online too)
Warning ...It's a very long and steep walk to the mausoleum at the top of the hill ..You might want to skip that bit if you have health problems ,I thought I would need an ambulance by the time I got to the top..It's a great place to go though, although they ought to improve the dummies, for example the bride who is meant to be Victorian is in a 1970s wedding dress ,lots of the dummies are falling apart and many of the information boards are too dark to read
Great place to visit . Loved visiting these caves . And the house .

Fascinating! Best Man Cave Ever!!
He is very good with his words as he has to be careful what he said
In his last shot.... notice the big gulp in his throat as he finished off what he had to say.... interesting.
I'm too claustrophobic to even go down the hallway to the caves. Je suis wimp.
Me too!
It's amazingly amazing. Amazed at the amazing maze of amazinginess
Has there been any books written about the caves? Is there a shop near the caves where memorabilia is sold?
Yes.....all available in the shop by the entrance. I went there last week.
