I always come back to this game to watch, it has this sort of comforting feel and the way she talks, its very calming as well. This is a great game to watch, I enjoy it a lot.
as someone who grew up in a household that had a carpeted master bathroom, it is exactly as stupid of an idea as it sounds. So much so that after about 6 years of the normal number of toilet overflows that would occur with a family of 7 many of them small children the floor was rotting through because it was never able to fully dry, Don't carpet your bathrooms people.

From there you also had people able to buy a lot of the appliances and machinery that had been at least partially invented or perfected during the war that was now available on the open market things like the microwave or far more efficient washers and dryers. Before that the idea of the average family having something of that nature in their house was ludicrous. But it wasn't just appliances it was the aesthetic and the decor overall. Reflective mirrored or textured with velvet wallpaper, crushed velvet throw pillows, throw pillows actually LOL. The goal was for everything to have that luxuriant rich soft and expensive look and feel. Including putting a carpet in the bathroom LOL. Us especially with bathrooms that had things like large tubs and I really ornate vanities putting the carpet in there was a way of just making it look like it was something meant for royalty to have this lovely almost always shag carpet because how much worse could you make this? Oh what you could use shag? You're right my bad you made it worse. So essentially a huge portion of the population thought these pastel or jewel-toned shag carpets in their bathroom or not only wonderfully pleasant to walk on but also just made the entire bathroom look bougie as hell in their opinion LOL. And all I can think is wow I really hope all of the fungal and mildly particles growing in those carpets we're all so able to appreciate just how great they made the bathrooms look

She was so hungry because her mom sent her in without dinner. When she asked for food, her mom told her to go to bed. She ate some berries, a tube of toothpaste and a decaying carrot. It was found out the berries were mistletoe, which can absolutely kill you. She then went to bed, and had a dream of eating all the animals because of her hunger. She died of food poisoning.
I rewatch this every year just because I need a little reminder about how lucky I am to even have a chance to be here at all. This story is also very comforting in a way, a sad setting with the undertone of peace.
yeah, that was like... really bad parenting. i know people used to do that. my pops did that to me once. but if she was so hungry that she ate gerbil food and a tube of toothpaste, and you sent her to bed that hungry... then you suck. to say the least.
Damn. So I feel that some punishments people scream about now aren’t that bad. A spank on the ass every once in a while when your being a brat ain’t no thing. My siblings are rather spoiled and tend to not be hungry until it’s time for bed so they can stay up and snack. Honestly I proposed that if they don’t eat when it’s dinner and they don’t eat what they are served then they should be sent to bed until they eat what was served. But this? This changed my mind.

I've already played the game, AMAZING game. Such a well put together game, props to the developers. The only qualm i have about this game is that the FOV sometimes looks a bit weird.

This game builds the house up as a rather eerie place. Our character ( who I’m pretty sure is Edith finch ) we play as says she is “terrified of the house” which personally for me as I continued to play and explore I became more scared due to tid bits of dialogue and the many deaths throughout the house but as I continuously played the game nothing truly horrifying happened. And that’s why I love the game,it builds itself and it’s setting ( that being the house ) to be rather dark and ominous as if something is here in the house and yet nothing really happens I love these “walking simulator” games because rather then gameplay it builds characters and focuses on its settings and mysteries that you slowly unfold throughout. And as jack says it’s very much like gone home, oxen free and a bit like fire watch. 10/10 ign

My Gandfather built his house back when he was around 18. He also used the trees in the forest in the backyard to make the hardwood floors. Although it's not a bad house, it's no where as awesome as the Finch's house.
MacGhriogair my grandfather built my home with my dad before my brother was born. He died of lung cancer after only a couple of years of my life. My family never had a lot of money, but we did have a large piece of land. My Grandfather built his house with the help of the entire family. My Grand Parents once had a small dépanneur (convenience store) in front of the house. When they closed the store, they used the store to build an extension to the house.

Hey Jack! I just wanted to say I think you're getting the brothers messed up. Edith had two brothers: Milton, who went missing when she was four, and Lewis, who died a week before the family left the house for whatever reason.
Most games never show the body so it's like amazing this game gave us one. And guys, careful what you say because Jack may see these and we want to at least let him be surprised to know this info.

This series with Jack is one of my favorite. The story is really inspiring to me cause It is really a "extraordinary out of ordinary" kind of context which feels me with hopes and dreams and nostalgia.
Some of the deaths in this game can be hard to understand by the way they told the story of it. For Molly she died from poisoning. She eat things she wasn’t supposed to (a whole tube of toothpaste can kill you if you eat it all at once). She went to sleep and had a dream (that’s when she turned into a cat was when she was dreaming). Eventually her dream led her back into her own room where she woke up thinking a monster was under her bed trying to eat her. She did die but it wasn’t by the monster. Her body failed her because of the toothpaste she ate.

For some reason, when I first played this game, I thought Molly was eating those fake foam berries on Christmas decorations.
They weren't fake they were real holly berries that if u eat enough, will cause hallucinations and such.

I don't know why this video didn't show up in my subs, but I'm glad I found it. Wow. What a beautiful game. It reminds me a tiny bit of That Dragon, Cancer. I feel like there will be a lot of heartache in the future episodes. I can't wait for more.

This game felt like a beautiful, poetic novel to me. I feel I didn't fully understand everything that was intended, but between her soothing voice and the enchanting, gentle art it was easy to become captivated.
Damn I got so into this story I didn't even realize it was over until he said! I was gutted when Jack said he was finishing there I wanted him to do the whole thing!

My Gandfather built his house back when he was around 18. He also used the trees in the forest in the backyard to make the hardwood floors. Although it's not a bad house, it's no where as awesome as the Finch's house.

MacGhriogair my grandfather built my home with my dad before my brother was born. He died of lung cancer after only a couple of years of my life. We have a plaque in between our garage saying "The house that Bud built." My grandfather's name is Bud.

My family never had a lot of money, but we did have a large piece of land. My Grandfather built his house with the help of the entire family. My Grand Parents once had a small dépanneur (convenience store) in front of the house. When they closed the store, they used the store to build an extension to the house.

This series with Jack is one of my favorite. The story is really inspiring to me cause It is really a "extraordinary out of ordinary" kind of context which feels me with hopes and dreams and nostalgia.

Some of the deaths in this game can be hard to understand by the way they told the story of it. For Molly she died from poisoning. She eat things she wasn’t supposed to (a whole tube of toothpaste can kill you if you eat it all at once). She went to sleep and had a dream (that’s when she turned into a cat was when she was dreaming). Eventually her dream led her back into her own room where she woke up thinking a monster was under her bed trying to eat her. She did die but it wasn’t by the monster. Her body failed her because of the toothpaste she ate.
Thank you for clarifying this. I was trying to figure out if the monster under the bed had eaten her and that didn't feel right with the storyline 😅
