I imagine the “ancient” claws to be blue Ancient is a term *mostly* used in Egypt (not saying they don’t use it in other countries it’s just mostly used in Egypt) And the Sphinx statue is made mostly of gold and Lapis lazuli Lapis lazuli is blue I am not gonna talk no more I think you get the point
Using the statistics presented in the classroom scene, we know that the it has been 529 years since there were reports of a wolf with ancient claws. We also know that 0.0001% of wolves have these claws, one in a million. If we assume it takes an average of 529 years for ancient claws to show up, we can divide that by 0.0001% to find an estimate for the amount of wolves that have lived in that 529 year period, 59.2 million. That seems like an incredibly low number for such a long period, it is likely very inaccurate. That brings me to two points. There is clearly going to be inaccuracy in the number of wolves with ancient claws and there is not a large enough sample size. For that first point, we know that wolves with ancient claws are hidden from the population and try to conceal their claws, this means that there may likely be many wolves with these claws that are never discovered. So how do they arrive at the number of 0.001%? They can't judge the likelihood of that with any remote sense of accuracy unless they have a much larger sample size to base their estimate off. This means that the wolves must've either had large-scale record-keeping systems for hundreds, probably thousands, of years before the present day or they have some sort of other way of knowing for sure the chances. I find the second option to be unlikely as the teacher describes the chances of the other claws appearing as "about" and not exact numbers and I feel that a classroom of 16 year olds would be given exact data. That also brings up the question of if the wolves had advanced record-keeping and census data for the ancient and death claws, wouldn't they have that information for the other claws as well? I can see no way that this makes sense.
I have since come to new revelations regarding this issue. The main statistical calculation in my previous comment was very flawed. If ancient claws are 1 in a million (0.0001% of the population) and there has truly been 529 years in between ancient claw discoveries, then that means there has only been 1 million wolves in that 529 year period, whereas using my previous methodology I calculated there have been 52.9 million (which I mistyped as 59.2 million) wolves in that same period. This new value, according to my analysis previously would further prove this value of rarity to be even more likely to be inaccurate. However, there are more flaws in analysis that are to be discussed. One issue is with the percentages of claw rarities stated. I believe the 0.0001% prevalence of ancient claws was a mistake. Adding up the percentages provided for the other claws, there is 0.001% (1 in a hundred thousand) of the population remaining, implying the prevalence of ancient claws is actually 0.001%. The thumbnail of the video also says ancient claws have a prevalence of 0.001%, contributing to my belief that the 0.0001% prevalence was a typo. The thumbnail of the video also states that common claws have a prevalence of 60%, while the video itself says 65%, however I don't believe this discredits the my new belief that the prevalence of ancient claws is 0.001%, as adding up this just seems to be a typo in the thumbnail rather than a different set of data. This would, according to my previous analysis of results, would make it so there have only been 100,000 wolves in the last 529 years, further lending to my previous conclusions (according to the previous discussion, which I will attempt to refute) In my previous analysis, I stated "I feel that a classroom of 16 year olds would be given exact data". I no longer believe this to be true. I see no reason why exact percentages of prevalence are required, so I do not believe that the teacher saying the prevalence of different claw types are ABOUT certain values rather than ARE certain values lends any evidence to uncertainty in percentages. My previous analysis relied on the value of 529 years since the last report of ancient claws. This value is derived from the year of upload year of this video (2021) minus the year given by the teacher of the last report of ancient claws (1492). I believe that this is the best data value that can be determined from the information we are given, but I am not certain in it's accuracy. The use of the upload year of the video to be the year that the events of the video take place is a major assumption. The use of very modern technology (such as computers in the office at 3:22) lends evidence to this assumption, however as this story does not take place in our universe we cannot conclusively determine that this technology arises at the same time as it does in our universe. Another assumption is that the time of reporting of ancient claws would be an accurate measure of when these ancient claws arise in the population. To illustrate what I mean, as Valeria was 16 at time of when her ancient claws were first "reported", we can suppose that Valeria was born in 2005 and we can suppose that the previous wolf to be born with ancient claws (call this wolf Wolf X) was of the same age at time of "reporting" of their ancient claws, so was born in 1476. In this scenario, the difference between years of reporting of ancient claws and years of birth would be the same value. However, if we suppose that Wolf X's ancient claws were reported when Wolf X was of a different age, meaning Wolf X was not born in 1476, then the differences in years of reporting between Valeria and Wolf X would not be the same as the differences between their years of birth. This would mean that the differences in years of reporting, 529 years, would may not be an accurate value of the amount of years since ancient claws have last arisen. Despite these flaws in the value of 529 years, I do believe that it is the most suitable value that can be determined of the difference between Wolf X and Valeria's births. Using what I have just discussed, we can determine an uncertain value of 100,000 wolves being born in a 529 year period. As the wolves seem to age more similarly to humans than real life wolves, we can assume an average generation length of 30 years (similar to humans). This would give a wolf population about 5,900 every generation, likely meaning the wolf population at any given time would not exceed 15,000. I believe that this is a reasonable population value as the wolves are implied to only have one civilization. One potential issue with this idea is the advanced technology that the wolves have, which would be unlikely to be developed by such a small population. This, however, could be explained by there being other species in this world, with whom technology is shared, though their existence is never alluded to. In the situation that the wolf population could only be measured in the thousands at any given time, I do not believe that it makes much sense to be able to give a solid 0.001% prevalence value to ancient claws, as unless record-keeping for wolves stretches back tens of thousands of years, there would only be a few reports of ancient claws in history, not making a reliable set of data. This also does not account for the fact that ancient claws are likely more prevalent in society than is reported as, like in Valeria's case, ancient claws could be hidden and never known to the world. Assuming statisticians in the world of wolves accounted for this bias in some way, the wolf population could be much higher than I ascertained in my last paragraph while keeping the prevalence value of ancient claws the same as is thought. I do not believe, however, that such a specific percentage value could be determined. Another possibility to how the value of 0.001% prevalence of ancient claws was determined would be through analysis of the causes of claw types. What determines claw type is not directly stated, but claw type seems to be inherited in some way as it is stated that death claws are only found in royal families and that there is a "lineage" of wolves with death claws. Two explanations of the cause of this exist in magical lineage and genetic inheritance. The magical lineage theory cannot be deeply analysed due to its magical nature, but one possibility is that there is a magical essence carried by claws which is passed from parents onto their children at conception. In the situation of genetic inheritance, ancient claws could be a random mutation or there are a series of genes that predispose some to ancient claws which combine with environmental factors (likely in utero factors) to cause an individual to actually have these claws. Genetic inheritance cannot fully explain claws as there to seem to be clear magical powers associated with them, as can be seen in the last scene of the video. In conclusion, the prevalence of ancient claws in the wolf population is 0.001% and not 0.0001%. In the unlikely case that there truly were been no wolves with ancient claws in the time between 1492 and 2021, we can roughly estimate that the population of wolves would be measured between 5,900 and 15,000 at any given time, assuming a stable population. This population would be of reasonable size to perpetuate itself, though likely not enough to develop the level of technology seen in the video, so it is possible there are other intelligent species of higher populations with whom technological developments are shared. In the much more likely case that there are wolves with ancient claws who hide themselves from the world, and the 0.001% prevalence of ancient claws was calculated with regards to this, the wolf population could be much higher than I estimated, which would be more likely as, assuming the likely case that wolves are the only intelligent species in this world, their civilization resembles human civilizations, which have developed with much higher populations than my estimates of wolf population.

I imagine the “ancient” claws to be blue
Ancient is a term *mostly* used in Egypt (not saying they don’t use it in other countries it’s just mostly used in Egypt)
And the Sphinx statue is made mostly of gold and Lapis lazuli
Lapis lazuli is blue
I am not gonna talk no more I think you get the point

Most of what you said doesn't make sense, atleast to me, not trying to be mean
This would, according to my previous analysis of results, would make it so there have only been 100,000 wolves in the last 529 years, further lending to my previous conclusions (according to the previous discussion, which I will attempt to refute)
In my previous analysis, I stated "I feel that a classroom of 16 year olds would be given exact data".
