for some reason the buttons under system variables are not interactable, also my pc has "Edit environment variable for your account" , not the normal one. Can you please help

Maybe, you incorrectly clicked on "Edit environment variables for your account". You need to click on "Edit the system environment variables" on START. Follow the video again.

doesnt work, "hp>php --version " i press enter and its not found.

I think u should not include hp, just type php --version

I have the same issue now fixed . Close the command prompt reopen command prompt then type php --version. hit enter it will work fine.
