ive had all four of my wisdom teeth taken out at once before, it sucks to all hell. youll be in pain for roughly 1-2 months and your cheeks wont stop being all puffed up till around 3-4 months later. i could only eat soup for the first month and even swallowing hurt, so best of luck enna and im wishing you a good recovery!

@@nobrainfound usually depends on how badly grown in your teeth are + ppl’s bodies react differently. mine were in my gums still and i had to be put under to take them out, ended up with stitches and overall it sucked a whole lot for me
I did too. The doctor wouldn't shut up about how hard it was to take them out. Dude was like "this one has a piece of your jaw bone." It took me two weeks to get back to work and one year for my jaw to stop shifting.

Though honestly, there are other things like assisting recovery methods. It didn't take that long for me too, but it was because I was checking with my dentist two-three week for about half a month to check up on the recovery while having to rinse off any small random food stuck between my teeth with saline water.

Someone need to say this, you can only donate organs if they are fresh, preserving them makes them stop functioning entirely, the liver for example can only be otside the body and inside an ice container for up to 12 hours.

It's not that bad. I dont know how it is where you live, but i just got local anesthesia, and they pulled the 4 out in like 30 minutes or so. Its not painful at all, but you have to make sure to tell them when the anesthesia does its thing because you want to make sure it doesn't hurt
Yeah, it's better to get it out sooner than later. The more weirdly positioned the tooth is, the more invasive the removal is, and the older you are the longer it'll take to recover.

Worst that can happen is the anesthetic wearing off during the surgery, which in the Philippines means that the pain killer goes away (most dentists don't put the patients under) That's what happened to me, which was when my wisdom tooth was being chiseled off. As in hammer and chisel.
Nah, my body just processed it too quickly, and it wasn't doing anything for the pain anyway since my wisdom tooth was fused to my jaw, so I chose to stop getting it.

I didn't have wisdom teets pulled out but it was two of old back molars that had rotten through, so let's say root was no longer than one cm. I only had painkiller and it was really difficult to keep the mouth open enough, but it wasn't bad, just weird to feel *something* pulled out of you. But healing was rough. The first couple of days it was an ambient hurt, not that strong on its own but wearing out because it has simply did not go away even for a little bit. Lying on an affected side made it worse and touching affected area sent a sharp pain. So, I don't see why would anyone decide to pull away all of it at once. It's better to get rid of one side, and then the other. I really reccomend it doing before your teeth get too comfortable, because you WILL have to get them out and it's better to not let them cause too much permanent damage first.

Wish you luck! though one good thing being obviously under influence is that whatever comes out your mouth would be 1) garbled (with the help of absolute havoc in your mouth) 2) lacking a comprehensive sentence structure 3) could easily about something that would not make sense to talk about in the first place (be that wall-pattern or time-slugs) so while the possibility is always there, there's also quite large wiggle room, so I hope it makes the ordeal a bit less scary.

Huh... I go to wikipedia to look up what reasons there might be for wisdom tooth removal, and the very introductions says that most removals are unnecessary. They can grow at funny angles and the gums can get infected (i've experienced the latter) but if the tooth is healthy it can be sorted without extraction. That just makes me feel bad for people who've gone through that surgery if they didn't really need to '-'
I honestly dont think the surgery is that bad. I was awake during it and only the swelling later on sucked. I had no issues with mine either but since I have a small mouth and had braces before, they told me it would be safer to get them out, in case they grow weird and move my teeth arround again. Plus, I had to deal with bad headaches and I was told that could be due to wisdom teeths growing and moving. So even if there werent any other reasons, I just got them out.

@Lors Carbonferrite makes sense. I was 20 at the time, and even tho they had to cut to take them out, it healed pretty quick. Quicker than i expected.
