I've actually narrowed down my fragrance wardrobe to only TWO fragrances: Azzaro pour homme (my signature scent) and Davidoff Cool Water (for the hotter days). I've been going minimalist with almost everything, and it feels liberating. Less is more.

Instead of eros, try Hawas for him its like a brighter Eros, unless youre using the EDT, Hawas for Him is brighter. Top notes are Bergamot, Apple, Cinnamon and Lemon; middle notes are Watery Notes, Plum, Orange Blossom and Cardamon; base notes are Ambergris, Musk, Driftwood and Patchouli. I swear I see Bergamot and Ambergris, all I see is Mont Blanc Spirit, that is good too 😂
minimum is 6 because you have 3 "seasons" (cold/ hot/ in between) and for each "season" you have day (work) or night-out scent, so it comes to 6 fragrances overall
@@AWretchedManCool, dark, dry place with small temperature fluctuations because if they do from negative freezing temperatures to normal cool temperatures on daily basis, they’ll still go bad.

MikeNRoll808 Well, Valentino intense EDP is a great sexy winter fragrance. It smells leathery and a touch of vanilla. You will get many compliments when you wear this fragrance. Many girl love it when I’m wearing this. I do think, it is the best winter fragrance for men at the moment. By the way, if you want you can check Dior Homme Intense as well. They are similar.

A while back I was feeling a bit nostalgic so I ordered some fragrances from my much much younger days. Coty's Musk for men came out in 1974, I started wearing it in 76 when I was 16 years old the girls loved it. Next was, RED by Giorgio Beverly Hills. There was a time you could only get this at High end Department stores like Dillard's and it was about $70.00 for a 3.4oz bottle. Now it's $17.00 on line. Then there's Elizabeth Taylors PASSION for men. Again at one time it was only available at High end stores and was about $50.00/$60.00 a bottle. Now it's $12.00 on line. But I'm not totally out of date on a night out with my Wife it's Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gio Absolu. My point is this, these are all scents that I like and that's why I wear them. The funny part is because most people have never smelled these scents or have forgotten them I get a lot, I mean a lot of complements.

If I'm honest I think 14 is a good number to aim for. 7 for autumn/winter 7 for spring/summer 3 for work 3 for everyday wear 1 for special occasions/dates (go for a nice niche option) x 2 (each season) = 14 Pick fragrances you really enjoy, dont get sucked into buying full bottles on recommendations. Buy a 5 or 10ml decant and pick your favourites. It's all about personal preference. Fragrances are so beautiful, and you dont have to be a crowd pleaser, buy what you really enjoy 😎

I’ve got 11 FULL SIZE. I selected 9, the others were gifts. My max is 12. When I want something I get a decant. Usually by the time it’s empty I’ve found something I like more and I get a decant or a sample of something else. I don’t want full sized bottles taking up space that I don’t love.
Antonio, I currently have about 10 colognes including Bleu by Chanel which I had delivered yesterday. I rotate my collection based on my mood or the event. I'm always inspired by new colognes that are really appealing to me. However that novelty does fade over time. To keep my inventory down, I donate my fragrances that no longer do it for me to my 18 year old son or my brother.

I would say you absolutely need 3, one for fall/winter, another one for spring/summer, and the third should be a blue fragrance that can be worn anywhere anytime. Personally I have 42 at the moment. The most I’ve ever owned at one time was 63.

May Favourie is Chanel Egoiste and I have learned that I seems to like notes of Tobacco, Rum, Tonka, Amber, some leather and spices. This is a fun hobby to be involved with but it can be expensive so it is best to sample if you can.

If you use 12 sprays a day (6 before leaving in the morning, another 6 in the afternoon or evening) you'll consume 300ml approx a year. So that's either 3 100ml, 6 50ml, or 10 30ml bottles a year.
I get the most comments when I wear Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. It’s unfortunate how common it is, but it’s definitely a crowd pleaser. I also recently tried YSL Bleue and I’m really liking it.
In Cold weather, I'm wearing Zaharoff Signature Pour Homme, Cartier Pasha Parfum, Dior Homme Parfum, Serge Lutens Chergui for my heavy fragrances. And Burberry Touch, Navitus Parfums Vivamor and Creed Royal Water for a fresher feel in cold falls days in a temperature controlled environment
I suppose a collection of 4 to 8 will be the golden standard for a gentleman. 4 fragrances, a summer and winter ones and two transitional, more versatile fragrances. Or 8, 2 per season, a formal and a casual ones.

In autumn and evenings, I wear Givenchy Play Intense. Literally, can’t go a day without some woman complimenting the smell. It has a citrus orange mixed with rosewood infusion along other things and it really turns some girls on. It’s a shame they don’t make it anymore so it’s hard to find on the used market.

I own own over 200 fragrances, I would say a man should own about 8 fragrances minimum two for each season day and night. Even possibly 10 You want to keep two fragrances that are your Swiss army knife that you can use in any situation. I love Dior Sauvage, 1 million lucky, Acqua Di Gio Absolute Instinct, YSL Tuxedo, YSL Y EDP, D&G Royal Nights, Hugo Boss Bottled intense and many more.
I’m at a point now where I’ve lost count - nothing like your collection but maybe 30-35. I stay mostly with designer fragrances because I think you get more bang for the buck. So - Aqua diGio (original and Profumo), D&C The One, Chanel Allure Homme Sport (haven’t picked up Extreme yet), Versace Pour Homme, Spicebomb, 1 million prive, Man in Black (wearing that today), Light Blue, Mont Blanc Legend Night, Mont Blanc Individuale, John Varvatos Ardesan and Dark Rebel Rider - I guess you could say the usual suspects. I did break down and add Creed Aventus and Green Irish Tweed, Tom Ford Ombré Leather and Parfums deMarley Layton fairly recently. It’s getting there!

I own both YSL La Nuit de Lhomme and D&G The One EDP. I was told i could wear The One in the Fall and La Nut de Lhomme in the winter. Are those both fall fragrances, and should I get another one for winter?
@@MaximusPrime52 They both work for fall. Due to reformulations, La Nuit de L'homme is not as strong as it used to be so I would suggest V&R Spicebomb Extreme for winter and wear La Nuit de L'homme for fall.

You can definitely rock The One EDP during fall/winter for any occasion and not necessarily just for dates. It's a good all around fragrance for fall/winter.

If I'm buying a larger amount of a fragrance I try to get something in a dark or black bottle. Light ruins the notes over time. I wore Curve for years and always got positive comments. Lanuit De L'Homme is my go to everyday scent right now. Not many folks mention it but I always get compliments when I wear CH Men. I like Tom Ford Ombre' Leather but not sure it's a wear everywhere scent.
You can just have one and be more than ok. It's plenty of all year round frags out there. Having said that, four is perfect in my opinion: two for fall/winter (one day time and one night time) and two for spring/summer. You Will never wear more than this. You can rotate fragrances year by year if you want

Tl:dr - 25 fragrances. Cheap blind buys and designer fragrances. Experiment with different types cheap fragrances but go with mostly safe picks for anything $50+. Favorite cheap is John Varvatos Artisan Blu but don't have a true favorite right now. Looking to get Bentley Intense, Spicebomb Extreme, and Ultra Male in coming months. I currently have a collection of about 25 fragrances. About 15 or 16 of them are cheaper fragrances with great reviews like Tabac, Cool Water, Mont Blanc Individuelle. Out of these, my favorite is probably John Varvatos Artisan Blu although Club de Nuit Intense tends to be my best one based on compliments. I also really like Tommy Bahama fragrances for the summer but they have weak performance. From there, I also have slightly more expensive fragrances but I've stuck to mainstream designer fragrances in the $50+ price range. These include staples like Sauvage (my most expensive one), Eros, Eros Flame, JPG Le Male but also includes some personal favorites that I feel don't get talked about like Gucci Guilty. I don't really have a favorite right now. 20-25 year old me would say Invictus or Eros but I've been feeling a need to transition into more refined and less playful fragrances. Sauvage is great but it's like an E Class Mercedes. Amazing quality but doesn't inspire much. It doesn't really feel like it belongs to me whenever I wear it. I'll continue to buy cheaper fragrances with good reviews as mostly blind buys (I'm currently eyeing Bentley Intense) but I'm going to hold off on more expensive and niche fragrances until I can smell them in person. Spicebomb Exteme and Ultra Male are currently on my list of ones I'll be purchasing in the next few months though.
After watching your video and other RUclipsrs a few months, currently, I have around 60 bottles and almost 100 decant's fragrances. And I only use 6 of them (Prada L'homme, JPG Ultra Male, Hawas for Him, PDM Layton, V&R Spicebomb Extreme, and Dior Sauvage EDT).

I personally see frags as clothing. Like anything else. There’s no set limit number one needs to have. As much as they like as long as they love it.
They expire though, don’t they? Would not want to have a bunch sitting there in that case.

I blind-bought the L'Eau D'Issey and was pleasantly surprised. The scent reminds me of my mom's rose garden that I used to play in as a kid.

Pick fragrances you really enjoy, dont get sucked into buying full bottles on recommendations. Buy a 5 or 10ml decant and pick your favourites. It's all about personal preference. Fragrances are so beautiful, and you dont have to be a crowd pleaser, buy what you really enjoy 😎

I’ve got 11 FULL SIZE. I selected 9, the others were gifts. My max is 12. When I want something I get a decant. Usually by the time it’s empty I’ve found something I like more and I get a decant or a sample of something else. I don’t want full sized bottles taking up space that I don’t love.
Antonio, I currently have about 10 colognes including Bleu by Chanel which I had delivered yesterday. I rotate my collection based on my mood or the event. I'm always inspired by new colognes that are really appealing to me. However that novelty does fade over time. To keep my inventory down, I donate my fragrances that no longer do it for me to my 18 year old son or my brother.

I use Acqua de Gio pour homme. I receive a lot of compliments when I wear it. Even men have asked what I am wearing.
I would say you absolutely need 3, one for fall/winter, another one for spring/summer, and the third should be a blue fragrance that can be worn anywhere anytime. Personally I have 42 at the moment. The most I’ve ever owned at one time was 63.
I currently have overt 100 Fragrances but how much you need will depend on you the individual. May Favourie is Chanel Egoiste and I have learned that I seems to like notes of Tobacco, Rum, Tonka, Amber, some leather and spices.
This is a fun hobby to be involved with but it can be expensive so it is best to sample if you can.

I have 83, so I may be overdoing it a bit. My go to, is Viking. I know some hate it, but I love it and love wearing it.
If you use 12 sprays a day (6 before leaving in the morning, another 6 in the afternoon or evening) you'll consume 300ml approx a year. So that's either 3 100ml, 6 50ml, or 10 30ml bottles a year.
I get the most comments when I wear Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. It’s unfortunate how common it is, but it’s definitely a crowd pleaser. I also recently tried YSL Bleue and I’m really liking it.

In Cold weather, I'm wearing Zaharoff Signature Pour Homme, Cartier Pasha Parfum, Dior Homme Parfum, Serge Lutens Chergui for my heavy fragrances. And Burberry Touch, Navitus Parfums Vivamor and Creed Royal Water for a fresher feel in cold falls days in a temperature controlled environment
I suppose a collection of 4 to 8 will be the golden standard for a gentleman. 4 fragrances, a summer and winter ones and two transitional, more versatile fragrances.
Or 8, 2 per season, a formal and a casual ones.

In autumn and evenings, I wear Givenchy Play Intense. Literally, can’t go a day without some woman complimenting the smell. It has a citrus orange mixed with rosewood infusion along other things and it really turns some girls on. It’s a shame they don’t make it anymore so it’s hard to find on the used market.

Even possibly 10 You want to keep two fragrances that are your Swiss army knife that you can use in any situation. I love Dior Sauvage, 1 million lucky, Acqua Di Gio Absolute Instinct, YSL Tuxedo, YSL Y EDP, D&G Royal Nights, Hugo Boss Bottled intense and many more.
I’m at a point now where I’ve lost count - nothing like your collection but maybe 30-35. I stay mostly with designer fragrances because I think you get more bang for the buck. So - Aqua diGio (original and Profumo), D&C The One, Chanel Allure Homme Sport (haven’t picked up Extreme yet), Versace Pour Homme, Spicebomb, 1 million prive, Man in Black (wearing that today), Light Blue, Mont Blanc Legend Night, Mont Blanc Individuale, John Varvatos Ardesan and Dark Rebel Rider - I guess you could say the usual suspects. I did break down and add Creed Aventus and Green Irish Tweed, Tom Ford Ombré Leather and Parfums deMarley Layton fairly recently.

I own both YSL La Nuit de Lhomme and D&G The One EDP. I was told i could wear The One in the Fall and La Nut de Lhomme in the winter. Are those both fall fragrances, and should I get another one for winter?
@@MaximusPrime52 They both work for fall. Due to reformulations, La Nuit de L'homme is not as strong as it used to be so I would suggest V&R Spicebomb Extreme for winter and wear La Nuit de L'homme for fall.

@@MaximusPrime52 You can wear any fragrance you want my guy and what makes you feel confident. There is no such thing as only wearing a fragrance for a particular situation. You can definitely rock The One EDP during fall/winter for any occasion and not necessarily just for dates. It's a good all around fragrance for fall/winter.

I have 5 myself. I have curve pour homme, Gentlemen Givenchy, Armani code, Versace Eros, and Versace The Dreamer. I am getting Issey Miyake and Versace Man eau fraiche.
If I'm buying a larger amount of a fragrance I try to get something in a dark or black bottle. Light ruins the notes over time. I wore Curve for years and always got positive comments. Lanuit De L'Homme is my go to everyday scent right now. Not many folks mention it but I always get compliments when I wear CH Men. I like Tom Ford Ombre' Leather but not sure it's a wear everywhere scent.

You can just have one and be more than ok. It's plenty of all year round frags out there. Having said that, four is perfect in my opinion: two for fall/winter (one day time and one night time) and two for spring/summer. You Will never wear more than this. You can rotate fragrances year by year if you want

I’ve got Aqua Di Gio profumo, Versace Pour Homme, Invictus Aqua 2016, Prada L’Homme, Mont Blanc Legend Spirit and Nautica Voyage.
My faviroutes by far are either L’Homme or Profumo!!
Tl:dr - 25 fragrances. Cheap blind buys and designer fragrances. Experiment with different types cheap fragrances but go with mostly safe picks for anything $50+. Favorite cheap is John Varvatos Artisan Blu but don't have a true favorite right now. Looking to get Bentley Intense, Spicebomb Extreme, and Ultra Male in coming months.
I currently have a collection of about 25 fragrances. About 15 or 16 of them are cheaper fragrances with great reviews like Tabac, Cool Water, Mont Blanc Individuelle. Out of these, my favorite is probably John Varvatos Artisan Blu although Club de Nuit Intense tends to be my best one based on compliments. I also really like Tommy Bahama fragrances for the summer but they have weak performance. From there, I also have slightly more expensive fragrances but I've stuck to mainstream designer fragrances in the $50+ price range. These include staples like Sauvage (my most expensive one), Eros, Eros Flame, JPG Le Male but also includes some personal favorites that I feel don't get talked about like Gucci Guilty. I don't really have a favorite right now. 20-25 year old me would say Invictus or Eros but I've been feeling a need to transition into more refined and less playful fragrances. Sauvage is great but it's like an E Class Mercedes. Amazing quality but doesn't inspire much. It doesn't really feel like it belongs to me whenever I wear it. I'll continue to buy cheaper fragrances with good reviews as mostly blind buys (I'm currently eyeing Bentley Intense) but I'm going to hold off on more expensive and niche fragrances until I can smell them in person. Spicebomb Exteme and Ultra Male are currently on my list of ones I'll be purchasing in the next few months though.

After watching your video and other RUclipsrs a few months, currently, I have around 60 bottles and almost 100 decant's fragrances. And I only use 6 of them (Prada L'homme, JPG Ultra Male, Hawas for Him, PDM Layton, V&R Spicebomb Extreme, and Dior Sauvage EDT).
