This Jazz team beat Olajuwon’s Rockets (rd 1) twin towers Spurs (rd 2) and swept Shaq’s Lakers (WCF Finals). Tha’s how great this team is. Klutch media will feed you a false narrative that MJ’s Bulls had no competition. This Iazz team would have been a serious contender if they played in today’s league
Hell thy wud be champs if want for the bulls & in ths error champs for sure, look who Boston beat to get thr & how many teams were hurt & banged up ....The bulls are insanely instinctive when came time to when in the 4qtr, starring noe other than hs Airness....smh, the good old days🔥
In addition to all of the above facts and figures, the 1998 Utah Jazz team had the best record in the NBA during that year's regular season and the homecourt advantage over the Bulls in Games 1 (which the Jazz won in overtime, marking the first-and-only time since the outcome of Game 1 against Magic Johnson's Lakers in 1991 that the Bulls ever trailed in a Finals series) and 2 in the Finals. And with Karl Malone having won the 1997 NBA Regular Season MVP, Utah was no joke either year. A veteran team that knew their stuff and whose three leaders in Stockton, Malone, and Head Coach Jerry Sloan had been together for nearly a decade-and-a-half and had excellent chemistry on and off the court. It was almost tragic that the Utah Jazz of the 1990s never won a NBA championship. But we all know the reason why, and you can't get any better than that!
I remember watching this game, few days after high school graduation. I remember Jordan holding up that 6 before the Utah crowd. I thought they were gonna lose, my uncle said, "he's the best ever, watch him work". simply the GOAT
@@truthhearer6323 Did you watch the last 30 seconds of the game? I don't think it's out of touch to be a little hyperbolic about those 3 plays, or to feel some nostalgia for being that confident in the guy
please tell me do you RECALL hearing that in 1980 the nba declared the greatest player ever as bill russell and that there's a documentary called the greatest player ever starring wilt chamberlain
Stockton rolling up in his minivan to the game with his kids. That was great! During the intro, every key player had a back story that was briefly spoken about to draw you into the story of the game. Gold
This game is extremely physical and a clinic on post ups, mid range, back screens and classic pick and rolls. A lost art in today’s game. Now everyone runs to the 3 pt line even if you’re shooting % is below average.
This is why Jordan is so good because of plays like this one and a great move on Russell and making the shot that gives the bulls a one point win for they're sixth chip😉👌👍💯
Bulls were truly the underdogs in this series. They should have lost this one with Pippen sidelined for most of the game. MJ willed this team knowing if they go to g7 there was a good chance pIppen is not playing and Jazz with all the advantage including homecourt. If there was a game that epitomized MJ’s will to win and clutch gene, this was IT!
I can't describe how happy i am right now. This was deleted from everywhere like a year ago, and as a 90's basketball and a jordan fan i was very upset. But thanks to this channel, we can watch it again. THANK YOU Classicos Deportivos TV "Mexico" This channel made a soul very happy today.
Just listening to the huddle of Phil Jackson and the Bulls’ defensive strategy on Utah’s last play, several things came into play- communication, everyone supporting each other, teamwork.
MJ at that point with 5 rings may very well be the GOAT as it is . . . but missing a lot of shots in the fourth quarter, and kept trying to shoot anyways and finally after winning it all, to hear him say to his coach, "I never gave up. I never gave up." . . . well, there's your TRUE GOAT.
I sure thought the Jazz would push it to a Game 7. I was very optimistic after the Jazz won Game 5, because, even though they still trailed the series 3-2, they had home court advantage, and needed only to win twice on their home floor.
Just the demeanor of these guys is what separates this era from today’s era. These dudes are mature. Today??🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️ Good grief…. That play between Stockton and Malone at about the 1:03:40 time stamp, where Stockton faked a screen set and cut back door was a pure chemistry play between those legendary players. Malone knew what Stock was gonna do, that’s why he waited. Dam I miss this game. This type of basketball is just soooooo much better and more exciting. Every possession is a fight. Just watch all the grabbing and banging. So dam physical…..
Even though Isaiah Thomas and co. did not show it on the court when the Bulls swept the Bad Boy Pistons in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, Zeke ultimately surrendered to the reality that Michael Jordan was/is the greatest basketball player of all time. Once the Bulls achieved their first three-peat right after the Pistons repeated as NBA champions, it was 100% clear that there was a new sheriff in town who could not be beat!
My all time favorite NBA game. Maybe Jordan’s best game and Rodman had to have Jordan’s back especially with Pippen being hurt. Also love the commentary from Costas, Doug, and Isiah is so enjoyable to listen to.
There are actually 8: Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Phil Jackson, Stockton, Malone, Jerry Sloan. Steve Kerr will undoubtedly become inducted in future years, so make that 9!
It's because Krause informed Phil Jackson that 1997-1998 was going to be Phil's last year coaching Chicago no matter what the outcome of that season for the Bulls, prior to the beginning of that season. That's practically saying "you're fired" for no reason.
i'm SO sorry at 2 hours and 11 minutes MULTIPLE jazz fans were SAD including jazz man and i'm still NOT certain why but in the 1998 finals the six games were won by a COMBINED 57 points and in the 1997 finals the six games were won by a COMBINED 36 points and i'm still NOT certain why the points per game average was higher in the 1998 finals for legend michael jordan
This game alone should stop the mj needed pip bs a back injury is no joke but mj did all the work pip did the same thing in the game 7 in 90 with a migraine but this was when basketball was the best and till this day this is the highest viewed finals of all time 27 years later and it still can’t be topped
If lebron was so great, he wouldnt have the frickin commish on his ass to save his life. Not to mention all the hofers he teamed up with to tip the balance heavily in his team’s favor and going 3/10 lol
@user-yn6gm1oy9k You’re an idiot. That’s because there was actual defense & not constant 3’s jacked up every single possession. John Stockton is also one of the best point guards of all time.
Love this! This is legendary, specially for us who were blessed to watch the game in 1998. This is unique.
You were blessed to see it live, I wish I was born years earlier to live the golden era of life before technology took over most of our lives.

You are 100% correct. Don’t forget the Pacers that year. The Bulls barely won that series.

Would've won the championship if Jordan had just stayed playing baseball

Your uncle didn't lie.
That’s cold 🔥
So he's more than a human according to you? The same way almost all MJ fluffers think?

"Dennis Rodman doesn't prefer Utah but at least it's close to Vegas" lol It's always funny listening to commentators when they mention Rodman.

I still get emotional watching this game. Damn. My childhood years, the best. ❤🐐❤

Sad, but facts.
Real basketball. physical play, inside game, great players, real basketball. And no constant traveling! I miss the 90's b'ball so much!
I remember it... Me and my best friend were like 15.. but I remember it. Jordan was the most exciting thing going on back then.
Finally get to hear what the strategy was in the huddles! Need more of this.
This is why Jordan is so good because of plays like this one and a great move on Russell and making the shot that gives the bulls a one point win for they're sixth chip😉👌👍💯
Just awesome to see the close up view and from a different angle of the game. Wonderful times back then.
I miss these days NBA on NBC
Real basketball. physical play, inside game, great players, real basketball. And no constant traveling!

I hope there’s more games filmed & edited like this👍

Finally! Clear footage from the past.
Very much appreciated 🎉,greetings from Belgium and yes ...thanks for posting this 🎉
i still don't RECALL going to belgium but i'm PERMANENTLY a small dog lover ZERO questions asked PERIOD
Just listening to the huddle of Phil Jackson and the Bulls’ defensive strategy on Utah’s last play, several things came into play- communication, everyone supporting each other, teamwork.
This is what an nba game should look like. Now the nba game is not even as exciting as the ncaa game.
Damn!!!! I drive the exact same minivan as John Stockton!! 👌🏽 windows down arm out today 😎
So you drive a 25+ year-old minivan? 😁
Wow. This is a great copy of the game. Thanks for sharing.
This game was so good not even one person checked their phone at any time
Or maybe it's because there was no smart phone back then....🤔
@@gerico9exactly lol!
I can't stand you nostalgic ass clowns. 😂
Lol
@@gerico9you can't be that slooooow to respond to that comment 🤔🤷🏾♂️ it was a joke dude
I wish they’d still film the finals in 35mm like this. The film looks absolutely gorgeous!
Telecast goals for the future. Could you imagine watching live sports like this.

Remember all this just like it was last week betting on the bulls was like having money in the bank
Utah actually thought they was going to push his airness to a game 7 in the finals Jordan didn't do game 7 in the finals
I sure thought the Jazz would push it to a Game 7. I was very optimistic after the Jazz won Game 5, because, even though they still trailed the series 3-2, they had home court advantage, and needed only to win twice on their home floor.

The irony of it all is Zeke being one of the commentators of probably one of the most memorable games of MJ 😂😂😂
Even though Isaiah Thomas and co. did not show it on the court when the Bulls swept the Bad Boy Pistons in the 1991 Eastern Conference Finals, Zeke ultimately surrendered to the reality that Michael Jordan was/is the greatest basketball player of all time. Forget how the league was once much more strict about travel.
Good times. I like how nice and clean the games was. Too bad is not like that anymore.
This is amazing copy. Thanks for posting this.
Very clear..tnx
Classic game was watching it with 🥛 and Oreos 😋I was 11 years old
I remember this game like it's was yesterday
The HD footage is amazing, I wish someone would figure out a way for all 90's Bulls games to look so good somehow
Back when the commentators didn’t sound like a bad impersonation of NBA Jam
Bulls fan here - but there is no excuse for missing that call at 40:48. Not even close - that should have counted.
01:34:00 These kind of fouls were just normal back in the day. No biggy, no reviews. Free throws and play on!
Yeah! So many young nba fans don’t understand
Exactly 🔥❤️💯
I agree!
The coaches called that last play perfectly 2:10:00 with Stockton
This is f'n beautiful
I believe there are 7 HOF's on this floor. Please correct me if im wrong.
There are actually 8: Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kukoc, Phil Jackson, Stockton, Malone, Jerry Sloan. Steve Kerr will undoubtedly become inducted in future years, so make that 9!
This was the end of the real NBA
Can u tell me please where did you get this kind of nba game
This is footage from the last dance that ESPN aired in full as “game 6 the movie”
Stockton in the new era would hit so many more 3’s without Malone
It Was Told That MJ Wasn’t Sick At All, It Was Only The NBAs Ploy😊
i graduated high school during this game. Only championship game i missed during the Bulls Dynasty. 🫡

What kinda van were John Stockton kids in?
You could just sense the, and I hesitate to use this word, hatred, between Phil Jackson and Jerry Krause. It was palpable.
It's because Krause informed Phil Jackson that 1997-1998 was going to be Phil's last year coaching Chicago no matter what the outcome of that season for the Bulls, prior to the beginning of that season. That's practically saying "you're fired" for no reason.

Se podría ver este juego en una sala de cine?
preguntar la gente de la nba

How much players today get away with travels and carries.
today's game is awful just for that reason. I hate it. And the physical inside game is long gone. No more elbows and pushes
Nobody had any chances against Bulls. Just need to admit it.
Rigged game. @40:49. Isley's 3 was clearly good but Dick (literally) waved it off starting a 5 point swing
imagine a you tube dude, saying a game was rigged 29 years ago. i'm sure the ref was rigging it from the start🤡
Yeah so rigged they decided to not call a foul on Russel at 1:01:26. Should have been a 3pt play
Роддомер йокича

If it wasn't for Kerr,Winnington,& Kukoc the Bulls would have lost. All the rest ot the team were scrubs.
But they made the NBA tho! lol can’t be scrubs!
We found a Lebum fan 😂

If the Bulls were so great, they should not have needed Dick Bavetta to rescue them.
you must be 12
If lebron was so great, he wouldnt have the frickin commish on his ass to save his life. Not to mention all the hofers he teamed up with to tip the balance heavily in his team’s favor and going 3/10 lol
who's dick bavetta? never heard that name before there for his not good if he is a basketball player..
If lebron is in utah jazz that time jordan would get 5-1 finals record
Dude that is just stupid. Log off dude
Game 30 years ago is slow 😂. Utah hornacek, Russell, ostertag really😂😂, the 2nd best player Stockton avg 14pts 9asst this finals what a joke 😂😂

Well you don't know basketball
I like this the way how they call it the movie 💯👍🫡 it's reminded me how they doings it like the NFL'S greatest games highlights
