I don't know if you're Italian or just a foreigner living in Italy but at some point you should have seen some debates on tv here about corruption, misallocation of resources etc.
It always starts from the people critics, it passes through a solemn political move and allocation of money and it ends up in people that steal such things or use it in wrong ways.
Unfortunately that's a trait of the old generations of Italians from the second post-war period.
Which I too belong but, as you may presume, we're not all like that.

During WWI black troops went to France and where treated as normal. When they got home to america some rioted. Americans culture doesn't travel well to Europe. Even in Canada I'm born here but to American parents and 53 at times Canadians can't understand american culture. Everyone else gets a free pass in Canada culturally but Americans No.

Oh and you think Germany is bad my step sister married a French citizen is of white European ancestry speaks fluent French but with a French Canadian accent. They they discriminated against her. Then again the French have a thing about being rude and hating everyone including other french people. They are just difficult. Riot over basically anything and when Germany gave them something to really complain about we surrender.
