Ive listened to this a few times and never caught that part. Fez was really in some deep fucking denial. I miss Fez and I really dont know what the fuck happened to him. He was the best part of the show back in the day. I honestly think the Opie and Anthony audience pushed him over the edge. He wasnt use to how fast that audience turns on you and turns on you hard. That led him down the crazy road of no return.
So let's get this straight: if Pepper can't do his job, he should come to Fez. When Fez can't do his job, he's allowed to cry constantly for years on end before begging Ron to keep his job and treat other people badly. The revelation that Fez simply can't do anything related to his job outside of sitting around in the studio shows he needs to go. He's not sick, he's simply phoning it in.
Doesn't matter, it's the Ron & Fez show. Ron is just as codependent. Why do you think he's put up with this shit for 3 years? Clearly Ron can't stand working without him, but Pepper could be replaced by anyone really.
@@Ironclad17 wrong. Ron could do a show by himself and can be entertaining. Fez wasn't even all that in his 3 years of normalcy before he went crazy. So no. Ron can run a show by himself with no problem
Them fighting with HR again explains why Pips isn't replaced yet; I hope that doesn't mean Shelby is going to end up banned from the building like Fred.
It seems like the original plan was for Ron to move to Raw Dog and start over and Fez wormed his way back into the plans for another year and a quarter. The move didnt make sense otherwise. Its also what probably helped push Pepper over the edge. He thought he was getting away from Fez finally and got sucked back in even after the move. But who the fuck cares, it was 5 years ago and Fez has long since quit.
Just realized how much we all fell for the bits, even though they were kinda real, and probably very real at times, and then bits again. Anyway, RIP Fez.
Imagine if Fez had actually done something about his anxiety (besides the bare minimum), he wouldn't have watched that bloated mouthbreathing party animal Chris "Pepper Hicks" Stanley gradually take over his job as co-host. Fez had a stable job with benefits, a support circle of friends, and lived in a hugely populated city full of opportunities to better himself but he was content to wallow in his rut & moan about his situation.
Fez is done. He just doesn't know it yet. The challenges Ron gives Fez throughout this are worse than a boss does on an exit interview. Fez brings nothing to this show. The Pepper thing is today's distraction from the fact that Fez can't keep a job... he's unemployable. Maybe a sheltered workshop. He's fuckin' nuts. Headline in June: Fez goes postal. When he gets let go, security at the building had better be ramped up.
The saddest part of Fez's decline was that East Side Dave was let go over a few extra bucks in pay. Fez's should have stepped to the side and let Dave take his place entirely or reduced his own time on the show to allow Dave to have an increase in pay. And now it seems, in spite of the fact Fez ins't overly concerned with the quality of his performance on the show, he might push Pepper out. Ron will have a career with or without Fez. I think a lot of why he keeps hanging on to Fez is a personal debt incurred in the aftermath of Ron&Ron. I don't think Pepper Hicks gels with Ron. Ron is more experienced on air, with better quality to his jokes and an ability to add unique perspective and insight.
@@cptnmrgnkid relistening to the xm years now and whenever dave gets involved the energy gets weird....he was the worst thing that happened to the show
It's great going to work under a fucking grey cloud every day. All things considered it seemed like Fez handled this pretty well. This actually may have been a good thing in the long run.
Ddub9997 That's not what I meant, I agree he has the right to be pissed. I was just saying that I was surprised that Fez admitted culpability and didn't either blow up or start crying or something. Believe me I can empathize with Pepper, I've been in a similar situation in the past at work and it's no good carrying around a simmering unspoken resentment. Now that shit's all out in the open they might be able to start honestly dealing with each other.
I don't understand how you have your name on a show when you never talk? Fez has been a fucking anchor for a long time and I am done with this show. I think Ron is great but everything always revolves around Fez and his bullshit. It has been on a down hill slide since Davey Mac was basically forced out. Glad Pepper went off, I'm surprised someone hasn't killed Fez yet.
Regardless of Fez’s on air issues at the time, and his lack of contributing, pepper handled this like a petulant child. Got in trouble, immediately deflected it and brought up something completely different. Passed the blame, blew up, then sat there and tried to spin it any way he could that the bigger issue was Fez. If this was O&A and this argument took place between Danny (who always argued like pepper) and anyone else, you all would be claiming Danny was in the wrong and deflecting. Maybe I’m alone in this, but I never like pepper back then, and now I look back and just feel the exact same way. I love Ron, but he was a shit stirrer, that’s for sure. However pepper helped foster and grow an even more unhealthy and toxic environment, then sat there and wondered why Fez felt paranoid. Man I feel for the guy looking back. Wasted what would have been the best/prime years of his life getting berated and treated like shit by so called “friends”.
I am going to officially cancel me one year subscription to Ron & Pepper. I will not listen again until Ron has dropped the albatross hanging off his career that is Fez. GOOD BYE.
If I was Pepper I would have just said "OK, it's the Ron and Fez Show" and just stopped talking for 8 years.
