    Hello there! Dan at Allotment Diary suggested we check out your channel and I am enjoyed the video so much I am subscribing. I need to learn more about garlic and onions and I am hoping I can learn from you.

      I can not answer that as I have never used neem oil. Sorry.
      Maybe someone else on the Channel will answer.

    Hi John great video as always. Just wondering do you pull your split flags off the leeks? And would you do it straight away? Thanks

    • @gardeningwithjohnsoulsby1131
      @gardeningwithjohnsoulsby1131  3 года назад

      . I remove two flags at a time. Then when I wrap the leek I remove the others.
      Pleased your enjoying them.

      Hello Nigel, nice to hear your onions are good.
      Sorry about your leeks. Sounds like red spider and thrip. Dynamek or Conserve will sort your problem but won’t put your foliage back to green.
      If you require leeks through the post, I would say February direct from cells, but if you can collect plants in pots I will grow them until first week in May.

    Hi John ,will you posting leeks out as I'm in the East Midlands. I'm watering my leeks with a watering can shall I try a slow drip watering system ?

      You will need a frost free greenhouse Michael as I will post January or February , but we can speak later about your requirements.
      If you water by hand with a watering can this will be fine, just don’t get carried away with liquid feed. I’m not saying it’s wrong to feed but know what’s already in your beds first.

      Hi Andrew, check around the root plate to make sure it’s clean, this can cause the leek to bend.

      Andrew it’s still to early for shaving leek heads. I will do a post to show everyone when the time is right. Probably start at the end of July.
      Some people don’t know what what shaving a seed head is about, so we will go through it and explain.
