Should Josh Sweat be the Arizona Cardinals #1 Target In Free Agency? 👀
Having an elite Defensive line, will help the secondary out big time. That was one of my biggest takes from last yr. Not enough turnovers created.
Mike, I agree Sweat would be a great addition, imagine him and Mike Green on both ends with Darius up the middle…that would be awesome!
I really hope we go after Mike Green especially after what he did at the senior bowl
I'm not sure Mike Green is the answer without more info/tape on him to compare with other guys. I really like DT Nolan and LB Jack Sawyer too, best available first. Sawyer will be gone 2nd half of rd 1 or early 2. Would really like LB Baum/DE Sweat in FA then dreams would come true. This team would be in serious contention then with just couple more players.

I've been preaching that the trenches are important for 5 years on this channel. People are finally seeing why they are. The Colts with Payton would never made, or won a Superbowl without Jeff Saturday, and the O line. The Ravens would have never won a Superbowl without their D Line and its dominance over the opposing O Line. Yes, we need help on both sides of the trenches, and if we can get a great player to be the focal point of the D Line, I'm all for it!
Milton Williams and Trey Smith are my two priorities in my opinion
We could've easily drafted Dejean and even Mitchell but we chose to trade down...
Cooper would have been nasty, but I have faith in mad max

He would be a great addition, but it depends on how free agents see the cardinals. Most of them go to the highest bidder or to a contender.
The cardinals on paper are not contenders in my opinion, they would have to make a major improvement. 🙏🏼
Monti needs to start being aggressive in free agency and in the draft. I'm tired of not signing anyone and trading down in the draft.. can we trade up for elite talent for once!

For a guy that doesn't have double digit sacks. And keep in mind he will be paid like a double digit sacks. Is over paying. Id rather have Reddick much cheaper and provides double digit sacks and use 1st rd on pass rusher. Who knows Cards might sign Reddick plus another Pass rusher
Im hearing huge numbers on Sweat, not sure about that, maybe 25 mil yr tops, otherwise Reddick for couple yrs and draft DE. But no bargain bin guys(Reddick has a history) at least.

HELL No. He was non existent the entire playoffs and got half his stats in the SB vs a TE who barely was even trying to block him. You want to pay a dude who has 3 more sacks than zaven collins 28 million a year? lol stop it
It’s more then sacks, it’s pressure, qb hits and presences on the field. He is a baller
Let’s just say this if we could get him for 25 a year I would be making this deal happen, I know I said 28 but that might be pushing it now thinking back at it.

Josh sweat in the 3 games before the Super Bowl had 0 sacks, 0 qb hits and 1 TFL. He only had a good game in the SB because they had Travis Kelce blocking him and a LG that had to move to LT. Extremely overrated.

No No No. We need to draft and develop players like this not pay absolutely premium money for someone who will come here and be on vacay. We need hungry young unknowns like Sweat yeah he was a fourth rounder? he was developed by a defensive slanted team, and Fangio brought out the best in him . Its what cards always want to do "take shortcuts" and always end up in the DITCH.
