The ending of Visions I believe is an alarm clock. Waking up from the dreams and visions of the party and realizing you’re still at home in your bed. Actually quite sad!
forever is one of my favorite songs ever, the swelling distortion in the production makes me think of that anxiety you feel in putting your love and trust in a person, but even then the smoother transitions and the chaotic outro has that sense of rhythm that makes you still beleive that love will work out etc, idk i got a lil sappy but hopefully you get what i mean xDD
I totally agree, I think the lyrics are so beautiful. Thinking back on a relationship with an ex or a friend you fell out of touch with but that you still just genuinely hope for the best for that person, and that maybe one day in the future you'll be able to reconnect as old friends once you've both had more time to grow as individuals. That's just the purest kind of love there is, gets me very emotional when I listen to it and think of those people in my own life :')
God I really wish you listened to Charli before this album. Listening to Click and C2.0 consecutively has become one of my favorite things to do because the contrast between styles that still have the same base melody really emphasizes and amplifies the emptiness, sorrow and the heartbreak of the lockdown.
oh man if you actually wanna cry, like really really cry, go watch the documentary charli made about he process of making this album. charli is one of my most favorite artists and it really shows a different, super vulnerable side to her that i haven't really seen her express anywhere else. i've also never really seen anyone try and react to it so it could be great for the channel or just interesting for yourself as a fan & fellow musician.
OMG i am excited for that one!! Actually my favourite Charli Album, i freaking love every single song and the way she experimented with it. Visions was an EXPERIENCE at her live concert lmao
Loved that you loved this one. Totally would love to see you react to Charli album. Its really great as well, and there is a song that connects to this album called Click (basically what c.2 was riffing off of)
So glad you finally checked out this gem! You must watch the documentary she made about this whole album process. It's called Alone Together and it's a beautiful look at not only her artistic process and the making of this album but also the relationship she has with her fans. Fun fact, while this album is mostly about being locked down with her partner during 2020, the song party 4 u is actually a reworked older song that fans always were sad she didn't get to put out, so it was sort of like a little gift for us angels. The song itself is actually written about a different ex of hers. I think it ended up fitting so perfectly with the vibe of this album and is one of my favourite Charli songs. The production is just so epic and emotional. Loved this, thanks for posting!
this is one of the key albums that got me thru 2020, I was mostly upset the whole time cuz I was graduating HS. as much as I LOVED it then, I find it sometimes hard to listen to at all anymore cuz it reminds me of staying home, and feeling trapped with my dad which like I don't like to revisit... but still love it Anthems is my #1 then 7 years and party 4 u are my faves
I feel so connected with this album, I was totally alone during quarantine for 6 months and one of the reasons why I felt connected to the world was this album! I'm so thankful about Charli and really happy that you reacted to this 🖤
I know this album was meant to portrait how Charli was feeling in the lockdown, but for me it is more than that. It’s a love story from the beginning to the end, noticing the ups and downs of a relationship, learning to love herself as she falls in love and out of love to another person. She starts wanting to go strong in this relationship, then she decides to take some time apart, she feels that she needs the person and the person goes in and out of her life. At the end she has hope for a better future for herself and the screaming, creaking sound that closes the album makes us think if she’s really convinced that she’s enough for herself. I can’t explain how much this album means to me. It’s a masterpiece! 🤍
I recommend anyone reading this listens to the live at Appleville's version of Visions, it's amazing! I saw her in Paris last month and Visions was HECTIC. Now I'd love to hear Anthems live, such a cathartic song
c2.0 is my fave charli song and i liked ur reaction to it, even if you were thrown off by the "click click click" section xD fun fact its actually meant to mean "click 2.0", since this is like a remix of click from her self titled album (which id love if you reacted to it!)
Since there are themes of recording/livestreaming yourself "pink diamond in the dark" makes think that it's referring to the small red light that you see on cameras to indicate that they're recording ^^
I love your charli xcx reactions, and this is my favourite album of her. I was listening to all these songs together for the firts time since the day the album actually came out and it made me so emotional. I feel this anxious feeling in my stomach and have just felt an enormous urge to text my bf that I just love him very much (and did it). Honestly every time while I'm in the shower and anthems starts playing I just start crying my eyes out.
I love your reactions, think you're just my favorite music react channel 🥰 I really love this album, I remember that at the time it kinda had to grow on me because for some reason I just wasn't feeling anything, but once the songs clicked it just felt like a punch in my guts. The lyrical content has a new and unic level of intimacy for Charli and the production is so imaculate, Charli is an artist that really care for history telling, she uses all types of elements to make us feel what she's feeling and I just love her so so much. I definitely agree with you that this album is really soft, to me she is the best introduction to hyperpop bc of how she is able to really sum up the catchness of pop melodys with an unic honest sound.
oh my gosh what a sweet surprise/throwback!! i'm so glad you reacted to this! it was really special to be listening to this album on repeat during quarantine, it hit soo right. it was just perfect company, so relatable. and beautiful to witness how Charli processed and documented the intense psychodrama of early pandemic life lol. her self-titled album is also full of thoughtful, well-produced *Bops & I would love to see you react to it!
I think “pink diamond in the dark” it’s like she’s precious and rare like a pink diamond but she couldn’t show irl to everybody how good she was bc of the lockdown. So she’s “in the dark”, not showing up for anybody. A diamond ready to shine and go hard but can’t be seen at the moment.
you should definitely check out her documentary on doing this album. it is sooooo good. i cried and laughed and everything. doesn't matter if it's for a video or on your own, but u should watch it
I will never ever understand how people listen to the 2nd verse of Party 4 U and just let it slide without commenting about how magnificent it is for at least 2 minutes. I don’t blame him tho, every other person who reacted to this album completely ignored it. I think it’s because it’s the 9th song on the album and these people get tired of the album by that time. It is Charli’s finest moment in her entire career and one the most iconic moments in 2020s pop music.

I saw her on Friday and visions was the moment
I missed her Glasgow show and I will NEVER forgive myself.

It’s so awesome that this album was made in a month
this is one of the key albums that got me thru 2020, I was mostly upset the whole time cuz I was graduating HS. as much as I LOVED it then, I find it sometimes hard to listen to at all anymore cuz it reminds me of staying home, and feeling trapped with my dad which like I don't like to revisit... but still love it Anthems is my #1 then 7 years and party 4 u are my faves

This album was co produced by dylan brady (is also in 100 gecs)
C2.0 is the sequel to Click, from her 2019 album Charli.
Since there are themes of recording/livestreaming yourself "pink diamond in the dark" makes think that it's referring to the small red light that you see on cameras to indicate that they're recording ^^
oh!! thats so interesting!!
C2.0 is click 2.0 (click is a song from her album Charli)
I love your charli xcx reactions, and this is my favourite album of her. I believe party 4 u was from a scrapped album and she put it on this album maybe as a memory of a time when she could throw a silly party for a crush
BJ Burton is a producer who worked with Charli in the past and fun fact: he's also one of the producers of "closure" by Taylor Swift
Can’t wait to see your reaction! In my opinion, this is Charli’s best album!
yaaaasss the charli stans are here!!! love this album sm & appreciate your input

PLEASEEE react to "charli" in my opinion her best album
I think “pink diamond in the dark” it’s like she’s precious and rare like a pink diamond but she couldn’t show irl to everybody how good she was bc of the lockdown. So she’s “in the dark”, not showing up for anybody.
A diamond ready to shine and go hard but can’t be seen at the moment.
We need other albums!!!
