I have afib and have had it since last august and my life has been completely destroyed I'm 19 years old and I'm so terrified of dying and I barley even leave my house I want to get back to being normal I've had 2 ablations the 2nd time they said they are sure they got it but I still get terrible chest pains and just am so scared cause that traumatized me , this made me happy seeing him happy for him to think positive and never give up.

ignore the comments about God. Whether or not you believe in God, the true power is with a doctors. They have developed techniques that can save our lives.the atrial fibrillation I have was solved by the intervention with catheter ablation. I was lucky that it worked the first time but sometimes it will take more than one time. But you will be okay. Medical technology nowadays makes it so.

Hey! Im 24, officially diagnosed with Afib when I was 23. But I've had episodes since I was 18, 19 or so. I've not had ablation yet, but I know what it feels like to live in fear like that . It too has destroyed a part of my life, but I have just come to terms that, it's what it is. Live your life still, don't let the sickness get in the way.

What a brave young man! I am 65. I was diagnosed with afib January 2017. I was told that I had it for a long time. I did NOT know it. Evidently I was a symptomatic. I had delivered 3 babies natural childbirth. I was working as a nurse 12-16 hour shifts. All of the sudden, the rug was pulled out from under my feet. I had open heart surgery June 2017. I had 2 heart valves replaced and the MAZE procedure. It's been 3 months. My scar has healed. I am still in afib. God Bless you, Brandon! I hope you continue to do well!

I am 38 myself, had my first afib episode last year and had a second one almost a year from there like two weeks ago. Haven't done an ablation yet, but if needed I will. Working on losing weight and getting back on track with a healthier lifestyle. This kid is amazing, and so is everyone else who is younger than me and living with this condition too. You have to live one day at a time, don't think about death or dying, but plan your future instead. It will all be okay.

You could take natural supplements that take the place of some medications. A supplements that reduces arthymia is hawthorn. Ive also heard that berberine can work as a blood thinner. But you should also talk to a cardiologist about the meds.. try to avoid the ablation. Look for more natural means after such as strict diets and the supplements

Yeah, that is odd, they all, including the doctors are referring to A-fib. As far as I know you really need a defibrillator only for V-fib. Maybe his A-fib produces a V-fib after some while?

I've had two ablations. I'm 33. My first at 29 and second at 31. No more ablations for me. It didn't work the first or second time, not gonna see if 3rd is the charm.
Instead, I'm looking for natural remedies, such as healthy eating and supplements. Try stricly eating paleo, taking supplements to decrease arthymia and inflammation. Theres been some evidence to show that people with Afib likely have a leaky gut, if thats fixed, its more likely to decrease episodes.
